10 Tips to Cure Snoring Problems

Snoring is not a small matter to be laugh at, making jokes

 about it would hurt the snorer feelings and pride.

 

Calling nicknames such as Pig would make the matter even

 worse.

I hated to be called a PIG and I am sure you wouldnt like

 anyone give you nicknames that branded you as a laughing

 stock for your embarrassing habit, snoring.

If snoring problem is left unattended, it will drastically

 increase the risk of heart diseases, diabetes and sinus 

diseases too.

Snoring can happen during the day time and night time

 which is much common to deep sleepers.

Good news is; you can cure or prevent snoring problem

 with these tips:

#1-Elevate your head-

  •  Before you sleep, prop up your pillows .
  •  Place the pillows underneath your head but not too 

high, leaving your necking hanging with anything to 

support it. 

  • You can also sleep foam pillow specially made with

 curvy shape to support your neck.

  •  In addition use a firm mattress not the softie one to

 solve your snoring problem.

 

 

#2-Lose some weight- 

  • If you are overweight or obese, do lose some weight 

on the neck areas. 

  • Massage and eat less fattening food to loosen up the

 excess fats.

 

 

#3-No pills or drinks-

  •  Do avoid alcoholic drinks and sleeping pills before 

bedtime.

  •  These stuff will cause you to put into deep sleep that 

may induce your muscles to relax but obstruct the air 

passage as you do not realize you are sleeping with the

 wrong position.

 

 

#4-No fatty foods-

  •  Do not eat cookies, cakes, candies, chocolates or 

carbonated drinks before bedtime.

#5-No heavy meal-

  •  It is best not to eat a heavy meal before bedtime.
  •  If you do, at least wait for 3 hours before hitting the 

sack. 

  • Allow the heavy food to digest before your sleep
  • . A full stomach may press upwards your diaphragm 

and causes your breathing speed to slow down.

 

 

#6-Use anti-nasal spray: 

  • You can buy anti-nasal spray to reduce 
  • the nasal congestion before you sleep.
  • There is nose plaster or nose strips to allow your

 nose to reduce snoring, reduce the nose congestion and 

allow more air flow into your nose. 

  • These stuff are easily found in drug store and cheap

 too.

 

  • #7-Fruits:

    I found these fruits do help a lot:

    Bananas

    Pineapples

    Walnuts

    Figs

    Tomatoes





    #8-Beverage:



    My hubby advised me to drink warm milk in order to

 promote a good sleep as it works for him.

However, I found that malted milk beverages helped me

to drop dead on my bed much quicker than milk.

 

I love MILO, Horlicks and Nestum 3-in-1 cereal, 

oatmeal which contain powdered milk, malted oats and

less sugar.


Try drinking a cup of malted milk beverage one hour

 before bedtime. 


#9- No Entertainments
Do remember to switch off computer, TV, handheld gadgets

 so that to get your body ready for bed.







#10-Lavender:


This wonder flower had been used for medicinal benefits

 since the ancient time.

If you have fresh lavender in your garden, pluck a handful 

of them and dry these lavender under the sun.



Then, place dried lavender in a small wicket basket or

 spread them on your pillow before bedtime.



These flowers produce fragrant smell that induce your 

brain , switch into sleep mode in no time.



You could also buy lavender oil or fragrance, release the 

smell into your bedroom at least 30 minutes before bedtime

.

    • Those are quite a number of things or tips to follow so that you avoid snoring. I don't know how effective they ar3, because I think when you ar3 tired it's very easy for you to snore. Whether you ha e the above things or not it's inevitable Anyway the only thing that I have tried is to stop sleeping in your back that will help. Putting your back suspended could cause more snoring instead of stopping it. The next time I hear anyone close to me snoring I will try your methods and see how it all goes.

    • These are useful tips for the people who snore. I also learned that we can turn the person to side lying position in preventing the snoring episode at night.

      I also remembered some of my friends made names of snoring at night. As they said, it was like a big ship is approaching the pier. I must say it is really unbelievable that you can sleep with the big sounds at night.

    • @Shavkat, hehehehe me too heard the word when hear a snore someone like a ship pwera visita sound, lol.There is also best way to stop snoring, that is to wear an anti snoring ring,In fact I posted abut rings that stop snoring in Mylot site.

    • What you have mentioned here really helps but I think there is now a machine or gadget to use that is so effective it does really help. Snoring, I have also experienced this, twice in my life that I encountered two people (in different venue) who have really a very loud snoring. The exaggeration of snoring like a horn of ship, maybe its not. Its really so loud that you can hear it even 10 meters away. I cannot sleep at those occasions. Snoring problem was never really a joke to those people concerned.
