Silent Enigma

Death is mystery.

Because of terror attacks that killing people in the public places, war against drugs that cause the death of drug personalities and the shooting incidents, there are death incident not being so given importance but was becoming an enigma.

The suicide incidents. Some countries may consider suicide as normal but not in our country. Still, though considered one of the cardinal sins for a human person to do it, still many people are committing taking their own life.

Common reason is being heard: because of problems in life that the victim cannot handle or accept it anymore; because of serious illness and the burden of it; cannot sleep; broken hearted especially for younger victims, and other reasons that victims cannot handle it anymore.

Just the other day, a man in 50’s in our little town of San Esteban killed himself by hanging inside their house particular at the second floor. He was found by his own son hanging and when rushed to hospital he was already declared dead on arrival. The reason why the victim took his own life is because of his serious diseases which he burden almost a year now.

Another incident last week in the same province when a man in 40’s killed himself through hanging also inside their house. They say the victim have behavioral problem.

I remember another incident when a lady in 20’s took her own life because of depression. Because of she considered herself fat, she took her life because of that petty reason. Another incident I remember is a teenager taking her own life because the money her parents sent her for her tuition fee was robbed. She didn’t tell her parents about it which the parents taught she was still studying. When the victim felt so guilt, she killed herself.

The victims got only one reason why they successfully took their own life; there was no one to guide them. No one to talk to.  If only there is one, even one person they can share their problems and burdens, they might not had done it.

Aggravated burdens and problems happen because no one they can talk to.

Friend that is all they need. A parent friend; a friend’s friend, a sibling as friend. A friend who will listen to them. Just someone to listen to them. Someone who will tell them there is Someone up above always listening to them.
