5 Tips How to reduce Stress

Stress, is something that no one would like to encounter 

everyday.

It is not 100% a disease but a common problem that 

emotional feelings and worries that are kept inside had 

affected a persons health, physical activities , mobility 

and irritable mood which is uncontrollable.

No one is immune from stress.

It is not a chronic disease but if you ignore it in long term 

run, it can be fatal.

Stress exists in everybodys body and mind, regardless of 

race, religion, age or gender.

 

Even school age children in school faced stress due to 

examination results, unable to cope up with school work,

 higher expectation from parents and school teachers which

 had lead students to undesirable actions.

Most people experience stress between teenage age to

 middle age years which are the so-called  Mid Crisis.

 

However, dont fret too much.

 There are several ways how to avoid stress.

 Here are 5 simple steps to avoid stress:

#1- Protein & Carbohydrate

Avoid high protein and low carbohydrate food. 

These foods will increase your brain to think harder, 

creating unrelated questions in your mind that may stress 

out your mood and alertness. 




#2-  Quit alcoholic drinks. 

The earlier you quit, the better chances to recover from 

stress.


Cut down on alcoholic drinks because these unhealthy 

drinks will affect your mood, body organ especially the 

liver and kidney to malfunction.

People who are facing stress will lead more problems

 ( physical actions-fighting, cursing, adult tantrum, 

emotional mood, physically unstable)

Admit yourself to a rehab center or get someone to help 

you out.

3. Limit intake of caffeine beverages. 

Tea and coffee are high in caffeine substance that may 

keep you awake all night, feeling restless. 

If you are sensitive to caffeine , yet a great fan of these 

drinks, switch to decaffeinated tea and coffee to herbal teas. 

Keeping awake all nights continuously will lead to stress

 because you will feel tired, exhausted, confused, forgetful, 

unable to concentrate well in your job or studies. 

Hence, your performance decreases, unable to keep up with

 others. 

Failures equals to stress.





4. Limit intake of high energy drinks. 

Commercial drinks such as energy drinks, malted and 

carbonated drinks should be avoided at all cost. 

These beverages contain large amount of caffeine 

substance too.

Consuming too much energy and carbonated beverages

 would induced irritable mood, hyperactiveness, unable 

to control own actions, felt stressful over own doings ,

yet could not understand why.

Drink moderately, not everyday.




#5. Take a break, have a dark chocolate. 

Yes, dark chocolate is known to reduce blood clot and helps

 your body to feel good by releasing good hormones.

 Consume about 40g of dark chocolate per day. 

Many people misunderstood that chocolates are bad for 

health. 

On contrary, it has an excellent source of theobromine,

 a substance that aids in releasing endorphins from your 

brain.



By following these 5 simple steps, I am sure you can see 

the positive signs of less stressful mood and emotions.

    • For me, one of the easiest way to release stress is laughter. Not only it is good for your health and body but it also relieve all the physical tension and stress in your daily lives, leaving your muscle relaxes in a certain period of time. It is easy, effective, natural, enjoyable to laugh. Worry Less. Be positive. Don't cling on a negative side. Have a grateful life with full of laughter.

    • All I know, to relieve from a stress is to get rid of stressors. I didn't know that it is also based on food. Unless, if the person is having hypertension; it is possible that stress can contribute to eating unhealthy food.

      Most of the time, I just write if feeling so stress. It is a good way to release the stress from within. After which, I just listen or watch some movies to divert myself not to think about stress.

    • These are very good tips. I try to do something in the quiet almost every day, like coloring or my paint by number. Or I might play a little background music, because music destresses me, too. As for dark chocolate, I love that so I'll treat myself anytime!

    • Everyone has his/ her own stress. We might have a wrong perception that only those working people facing stress which from their work. For those not working, might face the stress from the other aspects of life, like house maker might not have enough time to fetch children to school, cook, and her/his own leisure time.
      Thus, how to handle stress is really important to make a happier life. To me, a cup of coffee is a must to make up my day. Hehe!
      On the other hand, exercise is very important to kick away the stress.

    • Also, go to sleep. It doesn't matter how soon your deadline is; you will slow down if you're too sleepy. People usually forgo sleep in order to get more time, which is good when the deadline is tomorrow morning. But a good rest will go a long way. There are even psychological research studies on sleep and napping wherein their conclusions show that people have increased memory and spatial abilities.

    • Firstly, let’s debunk one myth: stress is not necessarily a ‘bad’ thing. Without this brilliant ability to feel stress, humankind wouldn’t have survived. Our cavemen ancestors, for example, used the onset of stress to alert them to a potential danger, such as a sabre-toothed tiger.
