Do you suffer from cervical spondylosis?

I was interacting with one of my online friends on forums of a writing website. She said she could do even better as a writer but her problem of cervical spondylosis, which is also known as cervical osteoarthritis or neck arthritis that occurs due to wear and tear of cartilage the elastic tissue of backbone that cover and protect the long bones at joints.  Once I myself suffered from this problem but got rid of it with the help of my physiotherapist. Later I got one weight exercising apparatus fixed at my house and did it regularly.

Even I suffered from that problem as I used to drive a two wheeler in connection of my field job going to different manufacturing units training engineers about the use of our company’s welding technology and its products. You will be surprised to note I have traveled 200+ km every day for years on a motorbike which caused me that problem but my trainer taught me some easy exercises

Cervical spondylosis, is a not only common or age-related problem but that can damage your joints and discs in your neck if you do not know how to keep your posture right, use wrong kind of pillow or use soft mattresses or travel a lot especially by a two wheeler because it normally develops from wear and tear of the cartilage and bones found in your cervical spine, which in layman’s language is in your neck.

However, if you talk to your physiotherapist he will tell you about certain exercises and postures that will solve your problems. In my case I was suggested to stand on my toes against a wall and stretch my neck as much as possible keeping my hands straight above my head and stay in that situation for 2-3 minutes than bend down slowly and touch my feet keeping my back straight. I had to repeat this exercise 5-6 times twice a day which gave me instant relief.

I am no more suffering from that problem but I practice it often at least thrice a week to keep my problem away or whenever I feel stiffness in my back or neck.  I must warn you that a same exercise does not bring the same result for everyone so one must not practice any exercise unless your trainer suggests you to something prescribed to you.
