I don’t know what I will do without this “magical” cleaning agent when I had my son. The thing about having a baby is that you have to expect to wash stained clothing every-single-time.
Especially when they start to eat solid foods, the stains in the little one’s clothing tend to be a lot more difficult to get rid of because even if you put a bib every meal times for them to use, the food items will find its way into their clothing – probably not unless you wrap your baby’s entire body with cling wrap! I remembered my Mom at the time my youngest brother was small, she used to hand wash and bleach his clothing whenever she does his laundry. Apart from soaking the clothes in water-diluted bleach for a couple of hours before washing, she has to hand wash each piece of clothing to completely remove the stains. That always end up with her having to do the entire household’s laundry for a day!
The thing that I don’t like when using bleach is that it is quite harmful to the skin (especially during a prolonged period) not to mention that it can be an irritant to the little one’s skin, too! Of course, you can say that gloves can be used but I never liked the “feeling” when I use it when I wash clothes. Call me weird, but, I feel as if I am not “really” washing the clothes when I put it on! Thankfully, I didn’t have to go through this tedious process and have Vanish Oxi Action Gel to help me out!
The thing I appreciate with Vanish is that it almost does the hard work for me. When there is a stain, all I have to do is to apply the gel on the spot where the stain is, make a few rubs against the cloth using the applicator and just chuck it in with the rest of the wash! To be honest, there are some stains that don’t wash off with the first wash even if I use Vanish but in general, I’d say this product is really effective 95% of the time I use it against stains!
Apart from being quite effective with stain removal, I also love the fact that I can use it for colored clothes! Now that’s something that makes it a lot better than your regular bleach, doesn’t it? You can say goodbye to bleach-stained clothes that ruin a dark-colored cardigan. I don’t have to worry about ruining any of our clothes even if I have to remove the stains in the middle of my son’s colored shirt (or my husband’s pink collar)!
Overall, I am really happy with this product and continuously use it when I do our laundry. I even recommend it to my Mom and wish I can bring it over to her so she can use it instead of bleach!
