The world is blind and here is proof

Hello Everyone!

“Those who can see yet choose not to; decide darkness as their way of life till eternity.”

Vedanta

A famous emperor once saw a blind person. He funded for his aid and told his minister to take care. Few days later – he asked minister about condition of the patient. The minister replied – the physical blindness but I can’t comment about paraphysical blindness. The king was shocked since he never heard about paraphysical blindness.

The minister told him to wait till the next day. The next day, the minister took a cloth and in front of the entire court, he used that cloth to tie his head and asked what is it? People replied that it is a turban. The minister then took the cloth and started wiping his face. He asked – what is it? People replied that is a handkerchief now. The minister then tried different ways with that cloth. Whatever he did, each time a new name was given to the cloth.

Finally the minister reported to the king that his court is full of blind. He added that he is just having a cloth with him yet the court gives various names just because different applications are undertaken from the same cloth. When people have fully functional eyes yet they choose not to see, this process is called as paraphysical blindness.

The story ends here only. But, the moral it teaches is still ongoing. There are many forms of the reality yet the truth is primarily objective by nature. We have our own assumption (I am not using the term prejudice as that might sound racist) while we look at reality. On the basis of that assumption, we try to change the reality to suit our agenda. This is not exactly the reality, it is basically my reality. We do not look at truth objectively as it is; we rather modify it to suit our agenda. The truth we have is subjective rather than objective.

This objective – subjective battle will be discussed in detail later.

    • If only one had their thinking cap and used it well this world would not have been so messed up. Hope you will receive many comments to this blog and I would be interested to know how comments differ from each other.
      To each their own.

    • Because people have chosen to live the way they like that is why we find it very difficult to bring back the fallen glory of the world.

Nowadays, no one wants the truth again. everyone like to make false and/or lies to suit our deceit and arrogance.

We now try to shape falsely things to be accepted as truth at all cost. No wonder the Bible says that a time shall come when people shall begin to seek for a place of worship that suits their lifestyle.

Truth no longer matters rather what matters now is how we can blend it to cover our erroneous deals. May God have mercy on us.

    • It sounds like a parable. You have a point here. I can say that this story describes my country right now. I won't say anything about my country's situation. Since bashers will pop out when reading this epistle of mine. I surely believed that people are becoming blind peripherally and cannot distinguish what is morally right or wrong.

    • It is like, if it is raining, one might think of the rain as a great thing, which helps us getting relieved of heat and humidity and dehydrating conditions.
Yet a person who drives 20/25 Kms a day might think of rain as a cause of traffic jams, waterlogging and delay in reaching the destination.
And both are correct to some extent in their own way.
