Avoiding defamation while writing online and offline

One of the main threats made to whistle blowers, fraud victims, when they expose well connected frauds online is that a case of defamation will be filed against them. An article posted earlier got a long comment that it was defamatory with an implied threat. However writers and fraud victims should be aware that just posting negative news does not necessarily make a person or organization liable for defamation. For example the indian media was full of negative news about the liquor baron Vijay Mallya, how he did not pay his employees, how he defaulted on large loans from different indian banks, his lavish lifestyle. However Vijay Mallya did not threaten to file a defamation case against any news outlet, as the news published in the Indian media was largely correct.

In India, online frauds are rampant because of the poor systems in indian intelligence agencies which rely almost exclusively on references and do not rely on legally valid facts. Powerful officials and companies have no qualms exploiting the loopholes in the systems of intelligence agencies to get lucrative permanent jobs in indian intelligence agencies for their inexperienced lazy mediocre fraud relatives, lovers, mistresses and friends with fake resumes, investment . After they have got a permanent job with monthly salary with a fake resume, investment, these employees are least bothered about their online reputation as they are least interested in making any money online. These fraud indian government employees are unlikely to file a case of defamation, as they will lose their monthly salary, pension which they have got faking their resume, investment and also expose the poor systems in intelligence agencies.

Anyone who has started their own website will know that there are expenses involved in registering a domain name and hosting expenses, the ownership of a website can be easily verified. However the extremely incompetent dishonest indian intelligence and security agencies are allegedly falsely claiming that 8-10 lazy fraud R&AW/CBI/indian government employees, who do not spend any money or control the domains,  own the domain names, websites of a private indian citizen to justify paying these fraud indian government employees a monthly salary at the expense of the real domain investor who is not getting anything, and is being tortured daily especially in panaji, goa. When the domain investor will protest against these fraud indian government employees falsely claiming to own the websites, domains, they will not be able to file a case of defamation.

In other cases, domain investors are subjected to elaborate impersonation frauds. For example top officials are falsely claiming goan obc fraud 2013 bsc sunaina, goan gsb fraud diploma holder siddhi, shivalli brahmin fraud bbm nayanshree and others  owned domain names, Paypal, Ebay account, were their btech 1993 EE classmate to get these frauds lucrative R&AW/CBI/government jobs at the expense of their real classmate who has been denied the opportunities she deserved and is being tortured daily. In almost all cases, bone ossification tests and photos can prove that these indian government employees are in their twenties or early thirties and could not have got a btech 1993 EE degree due to age restrictions.

So whistle blowers and fraud victims threatened with defamation should remember that the truth is the best defense which they have, posting factually correct negative news does not amount to defamation. If individuals and organizations want to avoid negative news they should not be involved in cheating, exploitation,  slander, impersonation frauds, human rights abuses, directly or indirectly.
