In my views Pench in Madhya Pradesh, India, is an incredible National Park that can outclass world famous National Parks for its peaceful atmosphere and the number of species of animals found in almost natural environment, and the best thing is the Park is not as crowded as most other famous National Parks in India.
Pench National Park is a comparatively peaceful jungle where a large variety of wild animals are found. In this park, a visitor can find animals like rare tigers and black monkeys besides other common species of animals.
In fact, this is one of the lesser-known sanctuaries but there are far more animals in this park in quantity and beautiful as in any other sanctuary but the only difference is this place is lesser crowded compared to other temples in India.
Let me tell you, friends, that they have changed names of this park several times but it’s still known as Pench National Park. The best time to visit the park is from February to April as the place is little too hot these days, but not for the real lover of jungle life and who love to watch beautiful animals in natural environment rather than in a zoo. This place has everything to display wild life at its best.
– This is an excellent place for the people interested in bird watching with around three hundred species of birds inclusive of migratory birds.- Fishes of many varieties, butterflies, moths, amphibians and insects of different types you name it and it is right here.
This park is spread over an area of 200 sq. miles and if luck is with you, there is very good chance you will see tigers, leopards, bears, boars, deer, sanbar, jackal, chinkara, macaques, fox, jungle cat and many more coming in search of water which is available in small ponds which are available all over the place and cater to the need of these thirsty residents of the park.
All the right facilities are available those include good hotels and resorts with all the modern comforts , to package tours for the tourists who come to see these beautiful creatures from every where who love animals.
Nagpur, the orange city in Maharashtra state is the nearest big town about 50 miles, And Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh is about 120 miles; incidentally the park is mainly situated in Madhya Pradesh state (about 90% of it).And the balance 10% is in Maharashtra, so to stay is not a problem. For someone who has just gone for a day’s trip but if you want to stay there, be prepared to stay in lodges with basic facilities.
Low budget should not be a problem for someone who has come to see these beautiful creatures, which have no houses but live in natural caves in the forest. And it would be better they stay there only although they feel disturbed by so much of encroachment by unwanted guests.

I had been to Nagpur. During my inquiry, somebody has suggested this National park. It will be quite interesting to know that I booked the ticket for the journey and later canceled it as the Taxi was more comfortable for my family. The program was postponed just for a day. But, the next day the Taxi did not come to us. The reason being on 8th itself there was the announcement of Prime Minister's NOTE BAN and the driver informed his inability to reach us as he was standing in a queue at the Bank.
This is how we miss some places just thinking about more comforts.
