Everyday, there are tons of waste, trash and

unwanted things that humans discard them into

the bin without even thinking twice.

Before you throw away anything after used or

consumed, maybe you should pause and check

whether these items are reusable or recyclable

 not now, but later.

There are many items tossed in the garbage are

still reusable and recyclable into new items

#2 Glass jars

Mayonnaise, spice paste bottle glass jars are

reusable for storing dry or wet ingredients.

You can keep homemade jams, honey, dry

answering a phone call.

#6- Old book shelves

Make a good cabinet to store pots, pans,

seasoning, dry items in the wet kitchen

Turn old book shelves ( pigeon hole) into dry

kitchen storage where you can store dry

ingredients or items for convenience.

Daily beverages ( coffee, tea, milk powder,

sugar)

Place the old book shelves into the store room.

Stack up old items to save place.

#7- Plastic bottles

Reuse plastic bottles ( big or small ) into covers.

Cut cooking oil plastic bottle (big-5kg)

into halves.

Use the top bottle to cover your cutlery.

Helps to avoid geckos or cockroaches from

lingering on them at night.

Cut water plastic bottles ( small ) into halves.

Hover over the padlock outside the gate against

the rain.

Padlock rust easily under acid rain water.

Store light soy sauce, dark sauce, fish sauce

 into plastic bottles.

I always pour out 1/4 of the content into another

bottle so that I don’t have to keep using the

original bottle.

It will leave a harden stain on the mouth of the

bottle if you keep using the sauces.

Reusable water bottle for kids at school and

adults at work.

#8- Tin cans

Wash the tin cans and dry thoroughly under the

hot sun.

Wrap the outer tin can with old gift wrapper or

 fabric.

Glue a round fabric inside , the base of the tin.

You can turn the tin can into a pencil holder,

straw holder, stationary holder or coin holder

Tin cans also make a wonderful place to keep

sachets of seasoning such as black pepper, salt,

chilli flakes, sugar that I brought back from fast

 food restaurant or take-aways.

You can also poke small holes at the bottom of

 the tin cans.

Turn these tin cans into your tiny garden,

planting vegetable waste such as cabbage,

carrots, spinach, pumpkin seeds or garlic.

My dad used to turn this tin cans into his

ashtray because he smoked in the past.

Make sure that the sharp edges around the

mouth of the tin cans are blunt by using a

pincher to pinch down the edges.

Then use masking tape to seal up the edges.

Alternatively, use only those tin cans that you

can purge open the lid without using a can

 opener.

    • I used to recycle magazines and newspapers and created them into paper beads. However, I don't have ample time to do some of my hobbies due to time constraints. These hobbies are reserved and pick up the pieces in the future. Thus, I don't have to worry on having idle time in the future.

Some of my friends had also recycled their empty jars and created some craft out of it. In this little ways, we can be able to save our mother earth.

    • Great Ideas. Things at home are probably of many used, only if we know how to utilized them. Aside from those that is being discussed, I want to include the following things:

BUTTONS. If you have only two attractive buttons, make them into a pair of earrings. If you have four attractive buttons, make them into a pair of cufflinks, chain-stitching a cord between each pair.

CALENDAR PICTURES. Enamel shabby wastebaskets and paste on calendar pictures for new decor. (Scenic ads and posters can also he used.) Shellac over the pictures for longer wearing and washability.

CANDLE STUBS. For corking bottles when you've lost the cork, soften a candle stub so that it fits the neck of the bottle. Candle stubs also make excellent fire starters. Candle stubs can be saved and melted together and made into new candles, using old bottles or milk cartons as molds. Also, candle stubs can be melted and poured directly onto paint in a half-used can of paint so that the paint will remain airtight and soft.

CAN KEYS. Save an occasional key from coffee or sardine cans, as you're bound, sooner or later, to come across one that has no key. Can keys also provide an economical way to use toothpaste, winding from the bottom of the tube!
