Hello Everyone!
Recently, I met a friend who was trying to generate decent traffic passively on his blog.
He showed me his blog and asked me how should I go about it. I asked him – what do you think will help?
I was shocked to note that he still believed in old techniques (which no longer work). So, I decided to write this post.
Please note that blog traffic is your customer base who will be engaged through your blog. This will help you monetize.
SEO is fighting for survival
Don’t be surprised. The term SEO has amended too many times. Search Engines in Internet’s infancy operated differently than what is happening today. Now, SEO is almost complicated and there is no guarantee whether it will work.
RSS is dead
Don’t be surprised. The magic era of RSS is long gone. It is replaced. Will cover email list subscription covered in future posts.
Social share not suited for beginners
You might wonder OR ridicule this statement as a hoax but this is actually true. Social share brings only short time traffic. If you want long term traffic through social media, you need to have min. 1000+ connections. Otherwise, there is no guarantee that it will work. Even in this condition (which is very rare for beginners), it might work OR it may not.
Too much content = disaster
Many times bloggers comment that content is king. They end up concluding that you need to write 4 – 5 blog posts daily to have a strong content. That’s where the problem actually starts. You need quality not quantity.
It’s not just a blog
Please read this scholarly resource which tells you to test your blog against 7 parameters.
https://smartblogger.com/traffic-open-letter/
If you are doubtful whether your blog will past the tests, you will never be sure that your blog will make money.
Now, coming to the main point: 3 traffic boosting tips ignored by most bloggers.
It is a wrong assumption that you should start blogging and traffic generation on your own blog. Sorry, but who’s going to read them?
Rather, find already established blogs in same niche as yours. Ask them whether they allow guest blogging. Join them and get traffic to your website via their audience.
Interviews help out. I know it is impossible to interview really famous people. Why would they meet you? But, if you happen to meet them, their interview will actually bring you traffic.
Try finding them online and take a podcast of their interviews (whenever they are free) and post a link to that podcast with some supporting content. Just tell them about it. You do not have to worry about traffic – they will do it.
No power in the universe likes the idea of advertising your blog. After all, it is a paid way. You made blog to make some money. Right? Why should we lose out some money.
Make no mistake. No technique gives traffic better than this one.
Here is how to do it (if you do not want to lose your money) – signup on Paid To Click website as a publisher and earn sufficient Dollars there. Then, instead of withdrawing, invest that in order to get some traffic. Most websites allow it. You can research on your own.
Wish you all the best

Very nice and scholarly post, thanks fr sharing this here.I will keep repeating some important tips here.Congrats!
It is nice that you had posted this. I am planning to revive my blog site.
Guest blogging is something that even the amateur bloggers can do. It's a great idea to contact more established blogs but there are also some websites like BlogSynergy, whose focus is to help match guest bloggers up with blogs looking for content.
It is very nice for all of us keeping in mind what you have written for the new readers. A blog title needs to be more descriptive than the title of a magazine article. When someone reads a magazine title they have the whole piece in front of them,
the images, captions, everything to help them make a decision to read on. On the web, a blog post title is usually seen in the search results or in a tweet without this additional information. Therefore, it has to do more to convey what the article is about.
Be careful not to write a jaw-dropping headline that everyone will want to click on but that has nothing to do with the content. If the reader’s expectations aren’t met by the article, they will have a bad experience and may never come back to your blog.
Now more than ever, the emphasis should be on writing for the user rather than for the search engine. That said, it’s worth thinking about what your prospective readers are searching for and including a relevant keyword or two, so that you rank in the searches you deserve to be found for.
Following the classic advice of learning from your competitors, why not see what titles other people are using and try to better it? You’ve possibly read some similar articles during the research phase of your current piece. Ask yourself which titles worked best for them, which angles did they use? It doesn’t take long to come up with a few provisional title ideas, and I’ve always found it useful to run these past a colleague to get a sense of which one is most effective.
That’s all folks, I hope this post has given you a few ideas on how to make your blog post titles more effective, or at least inspired you to read up more on the subject. If you have any other tips, please leave a comment and let me know. Thanks!
