@slayer08
yup, I guess being the middle child doesn’t get much attention.
It is either the eldest or the youngest who gets the best love and priority
peachpurple replied to the topic When do you end a friendship? in the forum Family & Relationships 8 years, 6 months ago
I used to have a best friend, who was very closed to me.
We do everything together, share secrets until one day she betrayed my trust.
She chose to disappear from my sight although I didn’t have the chance to ask for her reasons ( betrayal).
Hence, I kept my distance from my friends.
Friends do not stay close to you during crucial times.

@kaka135
I see that there are still families who practice speaking Mandarin as the mother tongue.
My family speaks English because my parents are English educated.
Hence, we are Chinese illiterate.
@grecy095
oic, they had the misconception about it.
They thought that are are durable to all kinds of problems.
Anyway, do feel free to share your problems with us

@morgoodie Yes, I do agree that there are many challenges and learning for parents to bring up the children. That’s why we plan to have a bigger age gap between the children, so we can spend more time with each child, and also wait until the youngest is older and more independent, then only we consider having a baby. I guess this will be easier…[Read more]

Yes sissy I think I am pressuring myselt too much and all the time. I try to solve my own problems, the disadvantage my parents think I can go on my own all the time that is why sometimes they don’t care about me but of course, they care but they are not vocal about it. @peachpurple
oh, traditional ways of calling parents, thanks for sharing with us
@morgoodie
thanks for sharing with us.
I guess that when one of the parents had passed away, you will be closer to the other one, to cherish those precious moments.
That is why, it still lingers in your memory, feels like yesterday.
@icybc
sorry to hear about yr dad.
When parents grow older, we tend to be closer to them than in the past, isn’t it?
@ruby3881
I like “Mi” , that is the way my kids are calling me now.
yeah daddy is like a hero to me. A person whom I can rely on positive thoughts and give me solutions, a pillar strength
@4cryingoutloud
very sorry to hear that.
But at least you are close to your mom.
Can’t imagine abusive dad, would willing to do anything to to his kids
I guess God is fair.
so cute, mumsy is a pamper way to call mom.
I like that.
My kids sometimes call me “Maggie Mee”
I am willing to cook maggie mee for them when they requested
Oh, dear, that is hard on yourself.
Aren’t you pressuring yourself too much?
You will look older as you age due to depression.
Try to open up, at least you would get some ideas instead of forcing yourself to produce ideas and solutions.
You can open up to us or your dad, since he is willing to lend a shoulder to cry on
@aka135
oh you are a ipoh mom.
I heard ipoh ladies are fair, pretty and smart.
You proved to be one !

I have four kids: three girls and a boy. We always wanted to have a big family, and actually had five pregnancies. I lost the second to last one early in the pregnancy. After the littlest was born, I decided my body had taken enough….

I am close to 50 years old, and I still just call my parents “Mom” and “Dad.” Sometimes I’ll say, “Daddy” instead, depending how I feel at the time.
My kids call us the same ways, though I always preferred “Mama” to “Mommy.” My oldest says “Mama,” but the rest of the kids say “Mom” or “Mommy.”

I’m like you: I was always Daddy’s little girl! My mother taught me to love learning and to appreciate nature. But I was always closer to Dad.
