These days when it is ‘me, myself’ no matter what others do not get any attentionĀ š

They say the quickest way to get someone’s attention is to no longer want it. Is this true?

Most old folks at your grandma age needed a special someone to help her. Family members are not familiar with the important guidelines.
However, some people do get a maid to care for old folks too.
Just to save some money on that pay.
I am sure your grandma will be blessed with many many years of healthy life.
Just keep her smiling.:)

I agree…as they say…Age is nothing but a number.
morgoodie replied to the topic Older men in the forum Family & Relationships 8 years, 5 months ago
I think that if two people love and respect each other than age should not matter. People are more than a number and there are pros and cons in relationships even with those that are close in age. I am not sure if I would have a problem with it personally until the situation arises but if other people want it then it is not my business.

In the past I’ve dated men that were about 10 years older than me. Ā It just depends on the man’s maturity and interests.
I’m happily married to a man that is two years younger than me now. Ā So, I don’t think age should matter.

@peachpurple Now that I’m pushing 50, I can see certain advantages to dating a younger man! But in terms of companionship and conversation, I’ve always preferred my men to be at least the same age as me, or a bit older. (Hubby is an exception to the rule, being several years younger than me.)
If they’re too young, they’re aren’t good at a lot of…[Read more]
LOL @peachpurple That made me laugh…a miracle of love.

@oksummer/
for a man to date a young lady with an age gap of 15 years, it must be a miracle of love that had overcome their differences
For me, nope, I would rather date a younger man !
good point. yea after that age, depending on where you both started it can get a bit weird. But if he keeps himself looking fit and young…no problem.

I am fortunate that I’ve never had to worry about meddling in-laws. My in-laws were my best friends, aside from my husband. For me, there is no choice to be made. My parents raised me, but I’ve long made my own choices. They generally respect them, but if they didn’t I would choose my husband.
I’ve never personally dated a man that much older, but at one time I knew several that I would have been happy to date under the right circumstances. I think 15 years is probably about as big of a gap as I’d want, though.

Thoughts on dating an older man as a young woman? Age difference of say 15+ years.

I do not like the idea of nursing homes and would not like to live in one. I would not let my mother go to one when she was sick. I took care of her and I would do it again if I had to. She wanted to go to one because she did not want to be a burden to me and my sister but I told her she was not going. I know that some people do not have family to…[Read more]

I think as a parent it is just hard to let go of your children and no one that they choose to be with are ever going to live up to their expectations. I think that they still want to protect their children from being hurt by the other person. It is just natural I think for parents especially mothers to behave this way.
Nina replied to the topic What Age Would Be A Good Time To Have Children? in the forum Family & Relationships 8 years, 5 months ago
I think everybody has his own path, and his own experiences, that’s why it’s difficult to tell a number. My answer is: whenever a person is ready to have children, that’s the best timing. Well, with age it becomes more difficult for women, but that’s how it is.
Nina replied to the topic Who would you choose, your husband (wife) or your family? in the forum Family & Relationships 8 years, 5 months ago
That is a real problem for many couples. I believe the husband/wife is more importantĀ if he/she is the right person for you. Your family should at least respect your choice, even if they don’t like it.
Nina replied to the topic How People Treat You in the forum Family & Relationships 8 years, 5 months ago
I try to accept people the way they are, even though it is not always working well. If a person is pushy, that bothers me for sure, but only for a short time, and then I forget and ignoreĀ what happened.
Of course, you can try to influence people for the better, but not everybody will be willing to listen to your advice. Most people just don’t…[Read more]
