@kaka135 The bathroom basin is very small here, and would not fit even a newborn! But many parents will bathe very small children in the kitchen sink, as it’s similar to the sink where the nurses show parents how to bathe their babies in hospital. We did that for many months with our children. Most of them were bathed in the kitchen sink at least…[Read more]

Sickness is a situation no one wants to be in, but again it is inevitable that we will all get sick at some point in our lives. In the last 3 years my younger sister has been sick always being in and out of hospital and it was a worry to all of us and it weighed heavily on my mum. I used to feel so sorry for my mum at her age having to keep going…[Read more]

I am sure that you do have torn clothes after years of washing your family members laundry, right?
So, if there are torn holes in the pyjamas, bedsheets, T-shirt, shorts, do you use a sewing machine to do the patch up fabrics?
Do you sew by hand the patches?
I do own a portable sewing machine but it couldn’t sew thick clothes especially those…[Read more]

You know what, I don’t have wisdom tooth. What range does a person could have that? My family members and most of my friends had it but I don’t have it. Is this some kind of abnormality? Whenever I share this to them they look at me like I am some kind of alien, that I am not a human at all for not having wisdom tooth. Some are joking that I don’t…[Read more]

I don’t know how to bath a newly born, but I am watching at my mother when she is doing it to her grandson, my nephew. It is hard from watching it as you will be scared to hurt the baby and the skin of babies are so delicate that you would prefer to use gentle/mild soap, that are especially for babies because it will hurt their eyes and leaves to…[Read more]

@ruby3881 I did not know such jugs exist as well. When my baby was in the first month, I bathed him in the basin in the bath room. Well, I actually put a small wash bowl in the basin, held him with my left hand, put him inside the wash bowl and use a handkerchief to “wash” him. As I was going through the c-section surgery, it was not convenient…[Read more]
@kaka135 In my son’s case, it’s part of his autism. But I know a lot of kids don’t like water to get into their eyes or around their mouth and nose. They become frightened that they will drown or that their eyes will burn. It panics them, which just makes matters worse.
There are now some specially made jugs for bath small children. A friend of…[Read more]
@peachpurple That’s really quick you learned how to bathe your first baby. Was it just the second day after she was born? I was going through the c-section surgery and my wound still gave me much pain, so I just learned to bathe my first baby after the first month.
I heard about using “black tiger beer” to bathe the baby, and I always thought…[Read more]
@shavkat There are some prenatal courses for expected parents, hence I think bathing the baby might be included in the course.
Yes, it is really wonderful to watch a kid growing up, especially when you watch her from a newborn baby, then toddler, young kid, and later growing up to be a young adult, etc. I always agree that the first three…[Read more]
@ruby3881 I have seen some young kids screaming really loud and badly when taking shower, especially when pouring water over the head. I actually do not understand why the kids feel so insecure while taking the shower, at first I thought if it is because of some not so pleasant experience they have got previously. Perhaps it is just normal for…[Read more]

It’s three days after I had my impacted wisdom teeth out and I have to say, it’s going much better than I expected. I had a bit of swelling and I’m rather sore where my stitches are but nothing is too bad. I’ve been eating a lot of ice cream and taking my pain medication as needed. To anyone thinking about getting your wisdom teeth out – I re…[Read more]
