Father’s Day is just around the corner.

    I missed that very much.

I wanted to give him a call or text him some messages but I don’t want any family members to hear me talking to him.

    • Your love for your Dad shows, immensely reading through this blog

    • My dad passed away several years ago..While reading the post i am teary eyes..I missed my dad i love him so much i didnt even take care of him when he get sick..My sister told me that my father is keep on asking when i will visit home..yes I came home but he died already i didnt even say i love him so much…So for those parents who is still alive always say i love you to them while they are still alive

    • It’s good to rant sometimes but when it regards parents it’s better we be thankful for having them around so don’t call it ranting. Anyway am just wondering how your parents ar3 dealing with yheir ailments without someone being there with them. Sometimes its so hard for them but they would rayher be quiet to avoid feeling like they are a burden to other people. You know when a parent is not well they would rayher suffer silently and not say anything. The best thing is to have someone there with them at least once in a while just to be sure that all is well. Phone calls may work once in a while but how long would it go for? They will get tired of it and decide that they don’t even need any kind of help but that’s not the truth they are probably just giving up and feeling neglected. When they are at that are group that can be very agaitated with small petty things.just take some time out and spend some time with them will make a lot of difference.

    • grown up men are children in the hearts of dad and mom because they have saved their babyhood prints on their mind screen that reminds them the children’s childhood. Children and parents relationship are very strong because children are their production and day and night labor.

The warmth that parents bring to their children’s lives starts at infancy. Moms and dads of young children shower their kids with baby-talk and physical touch. These behaviors show the child that others are sensitive of their needs and that parents can be relied on for emotional responsiveness.

As a child grows older, he finds warmth in the parent-child relationship in other ways, specifically in receiving the fulfillment of his emotional needs, whether they be play or intimate conversation. Warmth in parenting can lead to a cooperative child, who is well-developed socially and emotionally.

Father-child interaction tends to be more intense, and through their shared activities children learn how to express and control their emotions with their fathers. By working together, mothers and fathers help their children develop their skills across the spectrum.

    • I do not eat fish, but this was a good post with some great tips on how to make it yummy and keep the oil in its place.

    • I see those fish in the frying pan intact. We clean the fish. But this gives me an idea. How does fish taste if it is not cleaned

      Thanks for the tips.

    • It is unique recipe for the LB readers if not but for me a new method of frying fish Purchase white fish fillets that are at least 1 inch thick, preferably cod or haddock, though pollock, red snapper and orange roughy can also be used. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator, if frozen. Cut each fillet into four equal pieces.

Put flour in a pie plate or shallow bowl, planning on approximately one-quarter cup for every pound of fish you will be oven-frying. Season with salt and pepper.

Bake for 18 to 25 minutes, or until the breading is golden brown and the inside of the thickest fillet is opaque and registers 140 degrees Fahrenheit with a cooking thermometer.

Remove fillets with a spatula and serve immediately. If you’re concerned about your cholesterol level, use only egg whites when you prepare the egg coating for the fish fillets, discarding the yolks.

    I love chocolates too
I have never tried Lindt because it is an expensive chocolate, imported one.
So, I would buy Vanhouten, Cadbury brand which are cheaper and I prefer dark chocolates compare to milk chocolates.
Do you know that dark chocolates can prevent blood clot?
Helps to reduce the big C?
Yeah, although it may taste a bit bitt…[Read more]

I agree, when my hubby relationship with his sister had deteriorated, he simply stopped any connection with her and the story ends there itself.

However as the years go by, she wanted to reconcile again but it was too late.

She should had build up the relationship again after a few months not years!

I would say that if we write one article on every category, it will bring in lots of different external traffic to LB.

However, not everyone is good at every category.

For example, I am only keen in parenting , health and food category.

Otherwise, I have no idea what to write, same as the forums

I have no idea about sports,…[Read more]

peachpurple wrote a new post, Village Fried Rice ( Nasi Goreng Kampung ) 8 years, 4 months ago

Village Fried Rice is also known as Nasi Goreng Kampung in Malay Language.

A simple fried rice that is popular among the village people in Malaysia.

When dinning at Chinese and Malay restaurants, […]

    • Wow, you really make me hungry.
I think this will go well with a pot of Tom Yam soup. Both are spicy.
I bet those who have this combination for dinner will have to stay in the toilet longer the next morning.

    • I like that image with green chillies – pretty large images you have here.

Who says villagers are innocent? 😀

    • It is delicious because it is coked with old pattern and old is gold is said. I like it most and make every Friday at home. Village style fried rice, otherwise known as Nasi Goreng Kampung is a Malay style fried rice.

It is commonly cooked using leftover rice. However, you can also use freshly cooked rice as well. Just be sure the rice is thoroughly cooled. Long beans, water convolvulus (kangkung), dried prawns and shrimp paste, which are always featured in Malay cooking are used together in this Malaysian style fried rice dish.

Cooking this dish is pretty easy. First, pound or blend the spices. Then, just heat up a wok with cooking oil and fry the blended ingredients till fragrant.

Add the peeled shrimp, vegetables and crushed chillies. Fry till just cooked. Lastly, add the cooked rice and seasonings. Stir fry till thoroughly mixed and cooked through. And we’re done! Serve immediately garnished with some fresh cut cucumbers and prawn crackers.

You can use dried anchovies instead of dried shrimps for this recipe.

The ground paste can also be ground using a mortar and pestle. If time does not permit, using a blender is perfectly fine. Just make sure the paste is coarsely blended and not too fine.

You can adjust the amount of chillies used according to your preference.

If using water spinach (kangkung) be sure to use only the tender leaves and the top part of the stem. Discard the stems closer to the roots as this can be quite tough and chewy.

    • hi there writer, looks good in photos and sure the taste is nice too, thanks for the recipe and the photo, i like to cook an dlearn anything with photos
that is best, is it as tasty if we make it with little less chilli or that was your original recipes as i know that there are things if you change anything in teh recipes then you can find that whole recipe and food taste is not good

    • This is downright murder of the English language and this murder is universal including India which we call Hinglish 😀

    • We speak English because it is widely known language all over the world except a few countries do no know speak English. The main thing all over the world is that it is the language of business and communication and in most of the countries jobs rests on specking good English.

The second thing in education field where the people are researching are foreigners and their language is English what they research write in English. That is why Asian countries. people have to learn English as a compulsory subject.

There are many more reasons but.. these are sufficient for the readers to follow my point of view.

Most old folks at your grandma age needed a special someone to help her. Family members are not familiar with the important guidelines.

However, some people do get a maid to care for old folks too.

Just to save some money on that pay.

I am sure your grandma will be blessed with many many years of healthy life.

    Just keep her smiling.:)
