peachpurple wrote a new post, 5 Ways How to Stop Procrastination 8 years, 3 months ago

    Everyone is busy with work.

It seems that work is never done, always accumulating everyday.

However, why do some people can finish their work earlier than due date while you can’t?

    Do you procrastinate […]

    • Procrastination is a bad habit because it loses the chances of success in life because chances ever come in human life. The brave avail of chances bravely and the coward wait for the chances until happens mishap in life.

I think that Procrastination means to postpone doing something, especially as a regular practice. It is also to delay something that one should do and it is not done because one does not want to do it. There are habits that do not do any good to people but harm, procrastination is one among them.

Everyone procrastinates sometimes, but 20 percent of people chronically avoid difficult tasks and deliberately look for distractions—which, unfortunately, are increasingly available. Procrastination in large part reflects our perennial struggle with self-control as well as our inability to accurately predict how we’ll feel tomorrow, or the next day.

Procrastinators may say they perform better under pressure, but more often than not that’s their way of justifying putting things off. The bright side? It’s possible to overcome procrastination

If you’re honest with yourself, you probably know when you’re procrastinating. But to be sure, take our Are You a Procrastinator? Add to My Personal Learning Plan self test.

Here are some useful indicators that will help you know when you’re procrastinating:

Filling your day with low priority tasks from your To Do List.
Reading e-mails several times without starting work on them or deciding what you’re going to do with them.

Sitting down to start a high-priority task, and almost immediately going off to make a cup of coffee.

Leaving an item on your To Do list for a long time, even though you know it’s important.

Regularly saying “Yes” to unimportant tasks that others ask you to do, and filling your time with these instead of getting on with the important tasks already on your list.

Waiting for the “right mood” or the “right time” to tackle the important task at hand

I think if ant procrastinator will act upon these steps he will overcome this bad habit.

I love family genre movies and dramas especially the koreans, the producers and directors gave good results for their works.

You don’t see false act at all.

The family movies are so touching that shows humans do err and gain forgiveness after all.

Venegences are around but not as fierce and wild as the Taiwan movies, too much violence.

peachpurple wrote a new post, Treat Your Child Like an Adult 8 years, 3 months ago

As you baby grows into a toddler, remember that one day, he will grow into an adult too.

All of us had been through our childhood days, we had many questions submerging in our brain, thirsting for answer for a […]

    • To tell the truth I can say that kids are the most intelligent people in this earth. We normally assume that kids don’t see or understand the things that we do; but the truth is that they tend to watch us the grownups doing our things and copy what they can. But when they see something that they may not agree with that will probably ask a lot of questions. I agree that children don’t need to be lied to or even Hi we stuff from them. They become very curious when they grow up, and start asking questions so the best thing is to always create time to tell to them and explain anything that they may want to know it’s very important.

    • Yes treating your child with respect, telling him the truth of what ever question he asks you is very good. It’s also good to make him feel very important and also make him believe that you are the only one that can tell them the truth of any of their question. When u was a kid, I was really a very inquisitive type and my mother simply said I was going to be intelligent and I thank God I am today. Children who are always inquisitive to know what goes on around them and how it happens gathers a lot of knowledge and this help them to be intelligent as they grow gradually. I really am interested in kids that are inquisitive cos they remind me of my childhood days and my childhood questions. These kinda children who ask questions a lot are very noisy and talks a lot. Due to their acquired knowledge, they tend to talk a lot about what they have learnt from their parents. Actually not all children are question, they keep quiet and just grow like that without knowing anything. Most times these children end up in being dummies in their classes due to their quiet nature.

    • This could be a wonderful way for the girl child to grow up. This opens up a lot of ideas on how to do stuff and get things going. Girls need to be initiated to such behaviour earlier in life to be able to appreciate the little things in life. We all know that women are very good at being natural or using stuff around them and recreate new things. This are some good ways of starting up something

    • Women and this their creativity thing. Personally, I think I prefer a home made gift for a birthday present. This might just be because I like being creative most times.

So just like Anita Gimase said, this could be a great way to train the girl child and helping them grow.

I love creativity and I don’t fail to appreciate it whenever I see one.

    My Bean Sprouts Days

I never really understood why she would buy this troublesome bean sprouts […]

    • I always love sprout recipe. When I go to market, I often buy sprouts fry and cook it as stir fry. You dish looks delicious.

    • Wow! Your post always make my mouth watering, very tempting! I love to stir fry the bean sprouts as well as it is cheap, RM1 can get a big bag. However, I have to confess that I never do the boring task, never clean the bottom part, haha!

I have tried to plant the bean sprout myself at home. The green bean managed to grow within 5 days, but they were not as juicy as those bought from market.

To your knowledge, I am staying in Ipoh. Ipoh is famous with bean sprout chicken due to the mineral water can nurture nice bean sprouts. Since can not bet with the traditional sprouts planter outside, so I opt to buy. Do not forget, planting the bean sprouts might cost a lot of water too. It might not be a good return job.

I love to boil the bean sprouts too beside stir fry, and just put into the soup noodles or curry noodles, yummy yummy!

With huge range of fresh ingredients widely available in the market, there are so many version of coleslaw salad that one could think of.

    • My taste have surely evolved over the years. When I was young, the school lunch sometimes included coleslaw and I did not like it! I would wait until I thought nobody was looking and I then I’d use a napkin to wipe it off my plate to make it appear I had eaten all of my food.

When I got older, I met my husband and he loves cole slaw. I didn’t want to refuse so when he offered it to me the first time, I ate it. I was shocked! It tasted really good! It was different from how they made it at my elementary school. He varies the recipe. Sometimes carrots. Sometimes not. Sometimes raisins. Sometimes not. Sometimes red cabbage. Sometimes not. No matter. It always tastes good. His recipe would probably be good if he used pineapple chunks or orange slices, but he draws the line at the raisins. Your recipe sounds tasty too! 🙂

    • You can make this salad the night before or the same day. Just be sure to allow the salad to refrigerate at least 2 hours so the dressing has enough time to marinate the slaw.
