A lot depends upon how well  the post is written but nowadays we have a short attention span and too much to do online so I would say 500-800 words are sufficient .

Anything above that and my attention starts wandering.

So will you all get paid on 10th June? I think it is best to redeem at $10 and let excess be carried over to next month unless you are making $20 or $30 and want to cash out in multiple of tens.
