I agree. Knowing the problems in the post can tell you where to improve. And if the topic and writing on that is worth it or not. I have found that some of the time people will continue to write and they get to realize that their payout is deducted or rejected completely. And then they think why this has happened to them. Let’s see how things…[Read more]

Mahesh wrote a new post, Learning Excel Never Goes to Waste 7 years, 8 months ago

I work with excel in everyday job. And working with it taught me many things with the data. And these small skills never go waste for me. I learned this software and managed to teach it for others. And they are […]

    • Yes. I do agree with you. I concentrated only on Unix programming when I was doing my computer course. I was excellent in writing programs in Unix. I liked it very much. I neglected some software especially the Excel. My friend was doing a very good job on Excel and spreadsheets. There was another lady working for the World Bank in our office. She was quite thorough and everything was on her fingertips. Whenever we get any problem we were consulting her and she was solving them in minutes. I really wondered how much hard work she had made to gain that perfection.

She was playing with Excel actually. She was making row and columns and using many insert commands and photograph and typing as per the choice of their officers. The officer was also having several options for his subject as he had to prepare many slide shows for the use of the World Bank work.

The website like up work, freelancer have got a lot of work and who is perfect in Excel can earn money without any trouble. I have seen many people making good money out of this software.

Even now also whenever I get time I try to practice it. But, it is not perfect that much. Still, I believe that knowledge never goes waste. Learning something fetches money on one day or the other. Not only in terms of money, it will come to your help on one day or the other.

    • Agree, In fact, learning Word, Excel and Power Point are good skills to have.

Agree sunil. The thing is that no matter how much we can write. It all comes down to how consistently we can write. And writing 500 words articles for say 10 times a day is not feasible. No matter what type of writer we are. Even the one with the writing as real job can’t write 10,000 words without break. And that is where it makes you worry about…[Read more]

I have tried foap. I have around 60 plus photos. And you can find that most of the images that get sold on the site are related to beach, food, and travel. If you are not in region where you can take those photos then you’re not going to make money. So it is going to be pure waste of time. Instead you have to only shoot on good places. Lot of food…[Read more]

Yesterday, I had achieved something that is included in my bucket wish list: to learn how to knit!

I considered acquiring that new knowledge/skill as success. I can always be busy in my vacant hours and could […]

    • I like knitting from young years. My mom and grandmother were very good knitters, and I have learned from them, but somehow my three sisters never liked it and refused to learn. Nowadays I knitting very rare as now I have many new activities and there is a lack of time for everything. Sometimes seems it is easier to buy something than to make it myself. Saves time, but not money. But still time from time I knit for my pleasure.

    • Yes, it is easier to buy than do it. But I found it very interesting and am happy if I can create something and use it. I am fond of doing crafts, it lessen my boredom.

A fellow blogger mentioned Rabadaba, an app that lets you earn money. I don’t do mobile apps. In case there are others out there who can take advantage of the opportunity, passing along this link.

Foap is the another opportunity and it sounds like a winner. You can make many selling your photos.

I agree with you regarding running out of ideas. If just sitting down and just encoding, maybe we can earn big bucks here.

The problem is what topic to write. To me just making 3 300-word articles would take me a lifetime to write.

Ruby wrote a new post, Which is more important, Intelligence Quotient (IQ) or Emotional Quotient/Emotional Intelligence (EQ/EI)? 7 years, 8 months ago

By definition, Intelligence quotient (IQ) is a standard test determine to assess human intelligence while that of Emotional Quotient or Emotional Intelligence is the human ability to identify, evaluate, control, […]

    • I think both IQ and EQ are equally important. I think the way we ā€œmeasureā€ IQ is questionable and very subjective. We are created with intelligence and emotion. That is our human nature. Neither can truly be measured accurately until we apply them in our own lives. There are many people around the world who don’t go to school and never took an academic test. But they’re not stupid or ignorant; and they have a huge heart full of compassion, empathy and sympathy for their fellow human being! That’s what IQ and EQ both measure isn’t it? Your ability to think, to adapt and survive in the world you live in and to care about those who live in that world with you?

      • You are truly right! We are born with both an IQ & EQ.

It is also true that those who have no education are ignorant and stupid.

Its just sometimes it irritates me if people look up to you just because to went to top notch school or finished on top of your class.

I, myself, am not good in my academic achievements & I don’t have a high IQ, but I am good in my inter-personal relationship.

Thank you for your comment. Nice input on this topic.

    • A child with high IQ and EQ is indeed a very fortunate child. But oftentimes, both are not present in one person; so the saying “you can not have all the cake and eat it too” could be true.

We often see persons with high IQ as loners or they always want to be secluded because they get irritated with people who could not easily grasp what they are conveying or saying. They tend to be anti-social; so one can aspire more for a high EQ and he will enjoy life more.

      • As Treathyl FOX had commented, we are born with it. It is a matter of enhancing what we have.

I, too, would rather enhance more on the emotional aspect of my life, maybe because I am slow on the intelligence side hehehe.
