bestwriter wrote a new post, Holistic approach to healthy living 7 years, 4 months ago

I only came across this word ‘physiotherapy’ when I had met with a near fatal accident way back in the year 2006. I was advised complete bed rest for 3 three months and had to use the walker and the wheelchair whe […]

    • Indeed, if we are to do exercises, it should be checked by a physical therapist or by a physiotherapist.

Pains felt on one’s body can also be consulted to a physiotherapist.

Actually, my officemate had back pains before. She had 8 sessions , two times a week of physical therapy and after that her back pain was gone.

Though, it is a bit costly. One session is worth 400 pesos or $8, but it is worth the money.

      • As I have mentioned in the post physiotherapy is for everybody because as one gets older muscles need certain movements.

bestwriter wrote a new post, The indispensable bougainvillea in a well appointed garden 7 years, 4 months ago

Seasonal flowers no doubt add variety to a garden but having to replant them each season, one needs time to opt for seasonal flowers.
Due to lack of time seasonal flowers get a back seat and in their absence what […]

    • Bougainvillea is indeed beautiful and we have this in our home. Although it doesn’t require much maintenance they are pleasant to have in our garden. It surrounds the wall in our home and forms a natural garland in our home.

We have this plant in the entrance of our college and it is one of the major attractions and landmarks to our college, This Bougainvillea stands as a pretty landmark in the entrance. Other than Bouganvillea we have so many exotic flowering trees which add the beauty to our serene environment.

I just love them and planning to have more of them in my home. Thanks for the article. 🙂

bestwriter wrote a new post, Parrots are the most elusive birds when it comes to capturing them in my camera 7 years, 5 months ago

Our garden is designed with birds in mind.  Little did I dream that among the birds that visit we would also see parrots although they do not come anywhere near us and not even to the birdbath. They are always […]

    • Parrots are social because they are talkative hehehe, they want to imitate words they hear. And now they are influenced with camera, lols.I like parrots very cute and adorable. They do tricks, they are smart and adorable.

    • I like seeing parrots. Never tried to have them. I always see them flying freely in the surroundings. They are talkative. A trainer will be happy as it is very easy to train them. In India, we see some people carrying parrots in their boxes (cages). They call themselves parrot Astrologers. They earn some livelihood through parrots. There is a saying that not to feed or cage a parrot in single. Even if you want to cage them you do it along with another one. This is the nicest and safest way of dealing with parrots. They need company always. Don’t break it away from its companion and isolate a parrot.

      • I am not in favour of putting them in cages but I am not sure if parrots are happier when they are in cages with a companion

    • I do really love parrots. One time my mother and I visited her long lost friend something that catch my attention was this colorful bird on the cage. It was a beautiful parrot as they were talking about something i was surprised when the parrot suddenly speak on its own. It says “PANGET” which means in english is “UGLY!” I was looking around to my surprised it was none other than the parrot uttering those words. So, what i did is that I answer back to the parrot saying, “PANGET KA RIN” in tagalog that she or he is “UGLY TOO” Then, I was laughing out loud. 😉

    • I do really love parrots. I still remember when I was a Front Desk Clerk in a certain hotel in our area, we have pets that we desk clerks are taking care of. We have a parrot named “beauty”, whenever she see a guard in uniform, she will always say “Pangit” which means ugly. She easily imitate some words that you say out loud then laugh loudly for several minutes. You will have to shout at it to stop but sometimes she will also shout back at you and then suddenly she will laugh again. She is so amazing and now that I’m not with the company anymore I miss her. We also have 16 love birds but they are just noisy and cute little fella not to mention the snakes that we have.

bestwriter wrote a new post, Summer is back with a bang time for fruit juices 7 years, 5 months ago

I just wait for summer to set in as we have a number of fruits that are waiting to be consumed. There is always a bumper and after consuming and distributing to friends and well wishers  we make fruit juices a […]

    • Love fruit juice smoothies

    • Yes summer is a great time to enjoy fruits- Watermelon, musk melon and mangoes being the favorites.

    • There are a number of juices available nowadays. Recently when I visited the market I have seen a number of varieties. Apple, Orange, Pineapple, Grade, Blue Berry, Mango, Bel, and some juice the names of which I could never recollect. It was opened very recently and the owner was making a lot of money. He kept only 3 mixes exclusively for the preparation of juices.

Mango juice is not preferred in summer as it causes heat in the body. It should be consumed as a fruit only to get the maximum benefits out of it. The best juice I prefer and suggest to others is Cane juice. It cools the temperature of the body and acts as a shield during the Summer season.

      • There are a few companies who market fresh fruit juices without adding any chemicals but the question is to know about them.

    • I just read about a fruit called an “apple-mango”. It’s being grown in India. It has more mango meat, a smaller seed, and it is sort of shaped like an apple. I don’t like it when people tamper too much with nature, But that apple-mango sounds tasty! 🙂

    • These are the people highly neglected by the society. They take pleasure and work for it using their intricate hidden skill which can not be measured in terms of pennies and Dollars. They expect appreciation of their work rather than what they are paid. They show, explain, even discuss every detail of their art. Just a plate of meals is sufficient for them which many people are ready to offer but which they do not like. But, they accept the same more readily if a little bit of appreciation is also added to it. This is what makes them totally different from an ordinary seller/vendor of Art pieces. He will be in search for Art lovers than for the Rich. A poor but a lover of Art will matter him more than a rich approaching him with a hefty wallet.
