I was a bit surprised myself that Donald Trump won the elections. The indications had been that Clinton would win (even the psychic Scottish goat had indicated so!). But the real decision lay with the voters in the end….

I derive happiness from helping others and seeing that I am making a positive impact in the society I live in. It could be in my family, place of work, church or even among friends. I love sharing information with others and when I see that they have been helped I derive pleasure from that.

I am in the consulting field . I love to write legal issues happening in my country. Court cases and judgements intrigue me. The way they interpret the law and give their reasons for doing so. I have written some articles touching on some aspects of our law and published them on Academia. Every time I come across a legal issue that I think would benefit a reader I start writing. Sometimes I can write two or three articles simultaneously. I am also venturing into short stories at the moment.

So true. The problem we have nowadays is that we are consumeristic and materialistic. We no longer know the difference between a “need” and a “want.” Basically, everything has gone to the “needs” section thanks to aggressive marketing strategies. These create a “need” for a certain thing. Hence we are continually wanting beings who are not satisfied with what they have. We lose perspective of the bigger picture and forget that the possession of goods does not necessarily guarantee happiness or joy…
