Dua for Parents:
This is a special dua taught in the Holy Quran that every person should ask for his parents. This dua is preceded by a command by Allah to be respectful towards parents and never address them harshly or with rude manners.
“And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or…[Read more]
Dua for a pious family:
“Our Lord! Bestow on us from our spouses and our offspring the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders of those who have Taqwa.”

This is such a beautiful and complete prayer for having solid family relationships and children who are on the right path. Listen to a beautiful lecture from Nauma…[Read more]

Dua for cure from disease: It was narrated from Aa’isha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when any of us fell sick, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wipe him with his right hand then say: “Remove the harm, O Lord of humankind and heal him, for You are the Healer and there is no healing except Your hea…[Read more]
Dua’ for Stress and Hardship:
Anas (ra) said that when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. was faced with a serious difficulty, he would always supplicate,
“Ya Hayyu, ya Qayyumu, bi-rahmatika astaghithu”
(O the Living, O the Eternal, I seek help in Your Grace).”
Source: Tirmidhi
I recite this short dua often in times of stress and distress.

But sometimes if at toddler age, they threw a tantrum, I lightly hit their bottom (never too hard) but to make them stop crying loudly.
From a very young age, I tell my children if they are happy, I am happy and we exchange big smiles. Children like to make their parents…[Read more]

“Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.” Attributed to Buddha
I think it is a big mistake not to plan for the future whether you are young and old.
As parents, we are also spending a lot of money on our children’s school fees and other necessities but I do not want to be dependant on them ever even if they are very obedient and supportive.
It is best to save money on a regular basis and find ways of…[Read more]
