To go into depth about Factoidz;  It was not an accident.  The owner, Mike Quac, knew what he was doing.  He did rip off the public.

The Reason Bubblews got to trick so many thousands of people is based on the text book Ponzi.

If you study Business Administration in America you will have Ponzi Schemes covered in a Semester.  There is a virtual ‘Science’ to ripping off the public.  There are actual equations as to how to do it.

Dixit did not ‘accidentally’ wind up ripping o…[Read more]

Don’t blame the user because the site is dishonest.  This kind of… “Oh!  It is the Users Fault That the Site didn’t Pay!”  is the same; “You Broke The Rules!”  lie pushed by the Pimps and Shills of Bubblews before they were ripped off.

Bubblews, when you read the history behind its creation, it’s ‘rules’ and what it pays for, if you took a course in economics, or are familiar with business, or run a tuck shop, you had to come to the conclusion that this was an ‘unworkable business model’.

Simply put, yes, you can pay a percentage for views.  If you are running a site, you can…[Read more]

People use adblockers for virtual survival.  This isn’t the ancient days where there were a banner and a closing and a couple on the side, this is where there is no article… just ‘wall paper’ for the ads.  You can’t see the site, you’ve got pop ups and intrusive ads which many times cover part of an article.

Ad Blockers are a reaction to too m…[Read more]

The item was published on a site which was very d […]

    • It’s obvious that it is just being rewritten. She just chopped it into sections.

It can still be detected as plagiarized.

      • It was. I tried to warn the Mod, he ignored me. It brought the entire site down. There are many topics one will write and write about again because they get stuck in your mind. But one has to write from different angles.

On Wikinut I had written about the Bubonic Plague… and another writer had written about the Plague at virtually the Same Time!

I thought he Plagarised my work until I read his….

The joke was… the BBC had mentioned the Plague, I ran to do my research, he ran to do his. We both published at virtually the same time… two totally different items from different points of view.

My view is that when an Owner starts to take in money, if s/he has a dishonest gene, it takes over and they deplete the ‘treasury’ and can’t pay their writers.

I disagree Mahesh.   If a site is NON paying, such as Wikinut or Blogjob, fine.  But a site like Hubpages is supposed to pay, but pays so little, if/when it’s a waste of key strokes.  Any site that promises to pay and doesn’t is a Scam.

When it comes to Ad Block… that’s a whole different story

Wikinut doesn’t pay and probably never will again.   The Owner of the site hasn’t a clue how to manage a site, and left his mods to do what they pleased.  As soon as the site stopped paying the Mods left, except for the one guy, the one I’d warned about publishing Shards…

    • It would be nice to see the day when ALL positions for employment are actually based on the job candidate’s qualifications and merits. But that ain’t never gonna happen and we know it! So if you got skills, try to find out how to make it on your own.

As for the Oscars? Did something happen? I stopped watching that particular awards show years back. Long time ago, we might have argued about the “hint of racism” in these ceremonies. But that lady who played the maid in “Gone With the Wind” did got an Oscar, even though she couldn’t go to the celebration part afterwards because Negroes were not allowed. Sidney Potier got an Oscar for “Lilies of the Field”. Denzel Washington has more than one Oscar on his belt notch. Perhaps the person who started the Academy Awards actually did want to give recognition to outstanding actors, directors, etc. But these days, especially these days, we all know that the award shows are about money. And any little “controversy”? It’s probably about money too! That black and white stuff is just “window dressing”.

      • I feel you are seeing the same thing I am. It’s like having various flavours of ice cream and most people buying Rocky Road, (for example) and the store deciding this in unfair to strawberry so people have to buy strawberry.

When Avatar roped in more money than any other picture and didn’t get the award one wondered where the head of the Academy was?

I have no intention in seeing a movie about homosexuals. It doesn’t appeal to me. I will prob. watch la la land online because its a ‘feel good’ movie and sometimes… gee… people go to the movies to… um… be … I don’t know…? Entertained?

To my mind La La Land won… but it was more ‘politically correct’ to give it to Moonlight, so the envelopes were fudged…

There was a site called Wikinut.  It was a pleasant site and it paid.  Every item was moderated but not severely.   The site demanded long items… over 1k with 5 images, 5 bold words and 5 links.  Then one could get a Star.

One would be on the Star Page and likely to be read.

with the Bub I was paid $25 then $50 then stopped.  They didn’t pay people from the Caribbean or Africa.  As Dixit is Indian he paid a segement of Indian members, and American and British members.  He slipped up with an America who flagged him.

Firstly they paid you, and you would also be paid via Adsense.

I joined Hubpages about the same time as you did.  The earnings weren’t bad.  They collapsed in 2010.  After that 5c a month was pretty standard.

Why write so many words, so many images, and get so little?

And when you look at their ‘top’ stories, they are nothing I much care to read.
