This sayings is very true. No success just happen.  It’s important in life to have some to hold on to, something to motivate you and something to inspire you. Nothing just happens. When you are motivated you can’t easily give up.

Thank you for asking such a good question. I have heard some people do make promises to their God whenever they are asking for something. Allow me to share my thoughts on this topic as well. First and foremost let me give my personal answer to the question. My answer is “No ” I don’t make promises to God.  Now allow me to qualify my answer. In the first place the reason someone would make a promise is because he / she God to answer the prayers basing on the promise made. We have to understand that God does not answer our prayers basing on our promises,  but on his promises and his word. In book of Matthew chapter seven verses seven the Bible says that “ask and it shall be given to you,  knock and the door will be opened unto you,  seek and you will find”

The Bible is not saying promise and you will receive the answer to your prayers NO. In book of john chapter fifteen verses five it says “if you abide in me and my word abide in you,  you will ask whatever you want and it shall be given to you ” even here the Bible is not saying that God will answer our prayers basing on our promises. What I’m saying is that it is not necessary to promise God anything in order for him to answer our prayers. Now one would ask “is ok to promise God? ” the answer is yes,  though it is not necessary. When we are making promises to God we have to be sure to fulfill. It is also necessary to notice that God will not answer the prayers because we have promised him no. God answers prayers because he is faithful to his word and his promises. Jesus once asked a question to say “if your child ask you for bread would you give him a stone and if he ask for fish will you give him a snake and he further said that if you evil people know how to give good gifts to your children how much more shall your heavenly father give to those who ask note the Bible is not saying to those who promise but to those who ask. Let’s take for instance in a family set up when a child is asking something from the father,  is it necessary to make a promise. The answer is no,  it is an obligation of a father to give to the children. In the same way God is obliged to provide for us,  basing on what he has promised.

This saying is very true. A copy of the thing can’t be compared to the original thing. People who pretend who they are not can never be the real thing. This is why pretending isn’t the right thing to do.

I’m also surprised to see that most of the people i see on Literacy Base are ranked as newbie. So it really makes me wonder what other rankings are on the site. I will also be glad to know how rankings are doing on literacy base.

Jesus is really the rock of hope. He is the anchor of our lives. Jesus has promised to be with us until the end of time. All people can disappoint us but Jesus cannot disappoint us. He is the way the truth and life. He is the firm foundation of our lives and a corner stone. He is the same yesterday,  today and forever. He is the sure foundation of our lives which can never be moved.

The tongue is the smallest part of the body but it can destroy the entire body. The tongue can destroy what has been built in years and years of time. That’s why it’s important to watch out of what we speak with our tongue. Marriages, and families have been torn apart just by the power of the tongue. The tongue can bring war and violence in a country and cause many people to die. Some people use their tongues very carelessly,  which is very dangerous. What comes out of the mouth can never be reversed. One word spoken carelessly can cause death of many people. It is always important to censor what our mouths are spitting out.

Actions speaks louder than words. That’s a very true saying. Whenever people look at our actions they interpret what our actions are saying. This is why our actions should be consistent with what we are saying. Some people some things and act differently.

You are right,  actually change is a permanent law of life. There’s another saying which says that the only certain thing on earth is uncertainty. You can never be sure of certain things in life,  but one thing you can always be sure of is that the uncertainty will always be there. Everything on earth is going through a change. Change is constant,  you are either changing for good or bad,  you are either going up or down,  you are either progressing or not. Change is part of life,  in other ways I can say that life is change. Wherever there’s life changes are inevitable. That’s why if something is not  changing for the better it will  change for the worst.

That site sounds to be good,  i which more countries can be included.  If Africa can be part of it i will be the first one to join. The other challenge we are facing writers from my country Zambia is that there are sites like Mylot which only process the payments through PayPal and in my country we can’t receive payment we can only use the sending feature of paypal. I was frustrated on Mylot after earning money it couldn’t be transferred to my paypal account. When I tried to contact paypal they later told me that I can only send not receive,  it’s frustrating.  I would like to join many writing sites as possible. Americans can also try tipdrop and list my five. These two sites also only pay Americans.

This is very true. A true friend has a deeper connection to the heart just the presence of a friend will speak beyond what words can express.  The presence of a friend embraces the heart. A friend touches the heart.  I have seen the way I feel whenever I’m with my wife even if I haven’t spoken anything,  i feel connected and fulfilled. Indeed a friend touches the heart,  deep down the heart there is a gap which can only be filled by the presence of a friend.

I can give an example say if someone doesn’t know the purpose of a phone,  that person would be likely to abuse the device. We see people in the daily life who have no understanding of their own purpose,  they tend to live,  life in such a bad way,  they are likely to abuse substances such as alcohol and drugs. But the people who live,  life on purpose, they conduct their lives purposefully.

I enjoy time alone. These days whenever I am alone I ever interact on mylot or on literacy base.  Sometimes when I’m alone I read or pray and I take time to meditate. Spending time alone has a lot of benefits such as :

1. It helps to be more creative.

2. It helps to focus on future.

3. It helps to refresh the mind.

These are just few of the various benefits.
