@swalia I think most writers focus too much on “quality” as in the grammar, spelling and sentence structure.

While all these are important, it does not bring in traffic or income.

The important thing about writing online for income is to get organic traffic.  That means readers who are searching for information from the search engines.

These are the ones most likely to click on the advertisements, and bring in revenue to the site.

@morgoodie Your son really has a good imagination.
He might as well built a large shopping complex, and let all of you stay above.
Just take an elevator down, and you will have access to a large supermarket, many restaurants, and facilities.
He can have it built at the edge of the sea.

I redeem at $10. I have just 10 or 20 cents more than $10 when I login this morning.

After I click redeem, I have no motivation to edit the old articles!  I think I will just relax, and read and comment.

@swalia Till now, there is no advertisement.  I think when they get Adsense approved, and the money starts to roll in, they may have more money to share with us.

It is hard for a writing site to survive without Adsense.

@grecy095 If you have written some articles during the downtime, now might be a good time to upload.

You still may make it to the minimum cashout.

I just manage to make it to $10 after uploading 8 articles yesterday.

@swalia Some of my articles made as low as 10 cents! Most are 13 cents to 15 cents for 300 words articles.

Those that exceeded 500 words yielded about 20 cents only.

No idea why the payment differs.

hmmm, I am not aware that we can create group here.

Hopefully @support can help to migrate all the writing challenges over.

It will serve to clear writer’s block for those who want to write, and do not know what to write.

@ruby3881 wow, that looks really nice.

Thanks to @thinker for accidentally figure it out without knowing why!

If this works in post, it may allow us to  get a link to our reference source, if any.

@morgoodie @ruby3881 @peachpurple This is getting really hilarious.  From a dream house, the topic becomes Chinese delivery.

I think someone has to start a new writing challenge about food!

May 30, 2016 at 8:22 am

@morgoodie I think you should just split 800 words into 2 posts.  You will maximize the earning in this way.

@icybc That is valid point.

@support please take a look at the concern raised in @icybc comment.  I think that is a valid concern, as in who owns the copyright to the content here.

Do we get to delete our content if we want to publish it elsewhere?

May 29, 2016 at 4:26 pm

@sunil if you leave that site, do you still have the rights to those articles?

I think for most writing sites, once a writer deletes the profile, all the articles written by the writer will be deleted as well.

That means the writer can publish the content elsewhere.

@ruby3881 The first thing I see is coffee!  Now I yearn for coffee.

There was once when I submitted a letter to newspaper for publication.

They edit the content, and sent it back to me for review and approval to publish.

They did make it look much better and rectified all the grammar mistakes.

I think that is the most professional way to do it.  I do not expect online sites with limited manpower  to handle it as well as the major newspaper in a country.

I think for minor editing, there is no need to inform writers.

But for major editing, it is better to let writers do their own edition.

@ruby3881 Just set up the writing challenge.  Never mind that people have time or no time to write.  You never know if a particular topic appeals to a certain group of people.

@support on a side note, is it possible to create a new group “Writing Project” and move all the writing projects over?

It will make it easier for us to search.  Perhaps serialize them to make it easier to know how many writing projects have existed.

@grecy095 I am sure by the end of next month, you will have more than $15, and you will get it in July.

I just need another $1.30 which is easily achieved by 8 or 9 posts.  I have to edit more of my Bubblews posts!
