haha @grecy095 That looks like a great material for a ghost story. You sure scare me enough! I wonder if your mother lost any sleep over this experience! Personally I have no feeling about the presence of any spirit at all. That is why I have to use my imagination to write a ghost story. If I have such experience in real life, that is different. I will not be tempted to write about it.

I do not panic about the lack of advertisements. I just thought that my computer has problem! It crashed three times just now, and I have to restart three times before I can use the internet. After I restart and login, the advertisements disappear. Perhaps they are just changing the format for better advertisement placement. |

@morgoodie yes, that happens to be my first blog post here. I just wanted to test out how much the payment would be for a very long post. The result is 35 cents! If I had known that the payment maxed out at 35 cents for anything more than 1000 words, I would have split the story and uploaded as several posts. As it is, when I wrote, I split it into many chapters for ease of writing, and reading. It had taken me less than an hour because I was living my dream in my story. |

I believe in ghosts too. I have a few Gumanthongs at home. They are the statues or amulets of ghost children made by Buddhist monks. The monks chant and teach them Buddha teachings, and ask them to help their “parents” who will adopt them. I have written a ghost story based on this Gumanthong concept. It turns out to be 1700 words short story! Perhaps you can use your knowledge and belief of ghosts to write a short story too. |

@icybc The captcha thingy will disappear after you have a couple of blogs. After my third blog, I no longer have to use the captcha to post a comment. It is good, else I will have to waste a few seconds on every comment. |

@icybc Perhaps he has no idea what to do, and he does not want to give false hope. Expertscolumn stopped paying for a long time. All of a sudden, we received email that the revenue sharing program started again. I did not login immediately. When I did login, I was surprised to find $19 sitting there waiting for me to claim! I have not been active, though I login now and then to check my bank! |

@Jentleheart Batu cave is worth a visit, but that means climbing up a flight of stairs. Genting Highland is nice, and you can take the cable car to the mid-hill. You are fortunate to visit this coming week. If you wait till June, the whole place will be packed. It is school holiday in Singapore, and I think also in Malaysia. |

@bestwriter perhaps all is for the best. Those who continue writing to the end feel cheated. They have faith in the team, and they write without getting a single cent for months, and all they get is a sudden closure, and they lost all their articles if they did not keep a copy. |
|
@smee you are doing very well. Actually you can say that all of us are newbies, since most of us are here for less than a month. I think once you have published a few blogs, you will see that you are very closed to the minimum cashout amount of $10. |
|
@jentleheart Malaysia is a nice place. You will enjoy it. Just be careful or your wallet and handbag. It is not as safe as traveling in Singapore. |
|
@jentleheart Yes, some may be using a new pen name. Most will be using the same usernames, because we are used to it, and we like to find old friends. |
|
@jentleheart The problem with all businesses is cash flow. As many writing sites use Adsense, and the minimum cashout is $100. Even if you have reached $100, you will still have to wait a month or more to get the money. Hosting is costly, and the site owners have to pay for the hosting and the writers before they get the payment from Adsense. Writers do not click on the ads. Many of us have Adsense, and we know not to click on anything. Artificial clicks will result in permanent ban. Adsense team knows that only those from search engines will click on the ads because they are searching for products. |
|
@jentleheart haha, I remember jenny1015. Glad to see you here! I wonder about the old friends from Helium and Associated Content. I think we will not recognize each other here. Both sites require us to use real names, not pen name! I sure do not want to use real name. I rather have pen name so that I can keep my real life separate from my online life. |

Agree! A preview will be good. I think when it can be implemented at the point of submitting a new post. Instead of just “submit”, it should let us “preview” and if we are satisfied, then we click “submit”. If not satisfied, we can return to edit the post. As long as it is not submitted for review, there is no harm in editing again and again. |

@nakitakona13 Why not? One is a short story and the other is an imaginary cruise travel. I think when you write topics near to your heart, you will find it easy to write on and on and on. By the time you stop, you would have more than 2000 words already. |
