This is a good folk tale and there is truth in what it says. Gifts should be considered worthy as long as they are given in good faith and love. Whether it is something that you need or not is not the question, but whether the gift is given in friendship.

I recently read a folk-tale and wanted to share it with you because I think it teaches two very important lessons.

Once upon a time, a desert nomad filled an earthen pot with clean water from an oasis and traveled across the vast desert to present the water as a gift to the king.

When he reached the city, he found a river flowing beside the…[Read more]

Here’s a very short story to make us realize how precious mothers are:

One rainy day, 8 year old Saba goes to school by bus but forgets her lunch-box on the breakfast table. Her mother, Mrs. Qamar sees the blue and red box on the table. She doesn’t want her daughter to go hungry so she decides to drop the lunch box at her school .

    Since she is…[Read more]

So, I came here looking for some stories and found that 24 members joined this group.

Okay then, so who’s written a few stories and if so where are they so I can read them?

I have written numerous stories. Mainly I have written more fiction than factual. If you like Science Fiction that is my favorite but I like reading Stephen King books.

When I was in my elementary years, I had written three short stories, a fiction item. I based the theme from the actual happenings in and around our country. I submitted them to our local magazine publication and they were published. The magazine had sent me a postal money order as a payment of my short stories published in a separate issue of the…[Read more]

That is impressive. It’s good to be able to get a story published by a magazine that has many subscribers who read from it regularly.

I have no idea if how many subscribers or readers were able to read my short story. However, as I understand, the whole region of our place was covered by the circulation of such magazine. The most of the readers belong to the farm area, the school students and those who frequent the public library. It was a good opportunity for me to write those…[Read more]
