@bestwriter You say you are accused of plagiarism? You mean someone tried to say your posts are not actually your own work? If that’s the case, they should be able to tell you who they think wrote the text and where it was published before. I’d find it very difficult to believe any of your posts are plagiarized. I’ve come to know your writing style over the past few years. Your posts have a consistent style and tone that is echoed in your writing on the forum. It is all your own. Perhaps the issue is those Shutterstock photos you’ve been using in many of your posts? That can be an issue: they are copyrighted and subject to a fee for use. Shutterstock can and does bill bloggers for unlicensed use of their images. I believe the fees can be $500 or more, for just a single instance. It’s very easy to accidentally mistake a copyrighted Shutterstock image for a public domain Pixabay image. If you search Pixabay for your images, you can apparently sign into the site in order to avoid seeing the Shutterstock pics (which are essentially an ad.) You can also avoid accidentally choosing one of these copyrighted images by making sure to click through to the page where the image is featured, rather than saving it directly from the search results. This is a common, and sometimes costly, error bloggers make. This post gives more info on the Pixabay/Shutterstock issue and how to avoid accidentally stealing a copyrighted image:

@bestwriter I have seen a lot of acting out on other sites – mostly users who were using the comments on posts written by staff in order to air their issues about payments, accounts closed for spam/plagiarism, etc. I can understand why some site owners would fear this situation could take root on their sites, but I honestly believe when people are misusing the comments like that it’s because they are frustrated that using more private means to handle the issue are yielding no fruit. If a site provides a feedback or contact form but then fails to reply promptly when a member asks for help, the complaints will go public. The best way to prevent this is to respond promptly and to be seen to be addressing all problems in a timely fashion. Attempting to place a gag on users will never work, and I find it marks the admin as amateurs who lack business sense. That is something that certain people will exploit.
@ramaan Reporting an issue or asking a question is not ranting. Nor is expressing an opinion about the way a site does business. No business will ever suffer a seriously tarnished reputation because someone says in public what others think in private. What hurts businesses is deleting negative comments, chastising members for speaking up, and otherwise trying to diminish the impact of a criticism without actually taking the time to see whether the criticism is valid. I find that when I speak my mind on a site, I generally get a positive response from staff. They may not be pleased when I point out a failing, but they respect that I can see both the strengths and the weaknesses. They also like that I try to suggest solutions, and that I encourage other users to create high quality content or to use the site appropriately. |

@peachpurple I’m glad to hear your post remained safe! Too many people lose posts when an error occurs during or after submission. This is just another good reason to save our posts offline.
@bestwriter I’m not up on all the technological lingo either, Grace. But I do believe the main benefit of 4G technology is faster speed. I don’t use my mobile for data transfer, so I don’t keep up with this aspect of the tech. |

@bestwriter Yes, we have good service now. We are using fiber optic, and it has vastly improved things. No more slow internet, no more interruptions. |

Most sites don’t want rants to be published anywhere, which is why the admin will say to PM everything. The reason? It hurts the reputation of the site! All these rants get indexed, whether published here or on a personal blog, or in social media posts that are visible to the public. There are ways to keep pages on the site from being indexed, though. And having a single place for users to vent isn’t necessarily a bad idea. Also, most site admin forget that what gives the site a bad reputation is NEVER the rants. It’s how well the staff respond to them. That ball is always in their court! |

I am neither a morning person nor a night owl. I often like to divide my sleep up, so I can enjoy both the quiet late at night and the freshness of the new day breaking 🙂 |

I don’t mind if a person has an occasional social drink, but I have a very low tolerance for drunks. That being said, I have no idea where you get the idea that a sober guy will a) always be home or b) be boring. Man or woman, we all have plenty of other reasons to be away from home that have nothing at all to do with drinking. Work is a very common one! Man or woman, we all have plenty of other reasons to be away from home that have nothing at all to do with drinking. Work is a very common one! As for being boring because one spends a lot of time at home or doesn’t get drunk, really? If him being himself or spending time at home is boring, either you need to grow up or you’re with the wrong man! |

I haven’t encountered that problem here on LB. I’m glad your post submitted safely! |

@bestwriter It’s not my concern at all. I was simply stating a fact that in Canada such activity would get the cafe closed. We’ve seen plenty of other businesses where dogs or cats are an integral part of the decor (or staff?) Many people do find it charming, including me. I worked in a store that had cats who lived in the building. It started with one and grew to a little family of four. They were all spayed or neutered and very well cared for. Everybody loved them 🙂
@peachpurple We also have issues with an overpopulation of cats. Any strays found would likely be euthanized. Sometimes the very small kittens can find a home, though. |

LOL Grace, I think probably people are all ranted out now…. 😛 |

@peachpurple Those look and sound yummy, Peachy! I love coconut and sardine, so there are at least two I would probably really like. Here, most people will buy chicken wings or taquitos for a snack at the convenience store. Or they’ll stick to chips, pretzels, popcorn, cheese puffs, etc. – all the packaged stuff. The local delicacy is called candy smoked salmon. It’s a thick chunk of fresh salmon that’s been marinated in a sweet brine (often made with honey or maple syrup.) The fish is then smoked to preserve it. It’s like a fishy candy! |

While it can be charming to see animals in a cafe, in Canada there are health codes that prevent any animals (except service animals) from being in an establishment that prepares or serves food. A very few special places exist, where the owner has taken out a permit allowing cats and dogs into the building. But they must be kept away from the areas where food is made and eaten. If an owner were to allow animals at the tables, the cafe would be shut down by the health department. |

@swaliaI know some writers make a decent amount from affiliate sales for Amazon and similar sites, and many add their own designs from sites like Zazzle too. For an astrology blog, there are lots of good reference books that you could link to; there are also zodiac-themed accessories like throw pillows, posters, or coffee mugs. If you learn to structure a post properly around the links so it seems very subtle but you have a good number of links per post, you can earn. As @thinker said, there are courses that teach affiliate marketing strategies. Apparently, Pajama Affiliates us a great series of courses and the prices are very reasonable. I joined their FB group, and find the community very warm and supportive. I haven’t tried the courses yet, though. |

It’s a known issue. Something related to the last upgrade/maintenance cycle. Support has the coders looking into it. If you’re seeing the “Array” notification, you might want to go to your profile and check your notifications and messages tabs. You may have items waiting for your attention, but they aren’t showing up as usual. |

@thinker Thank you for the birthday wishes 😀 |
