@knowbuzz You need to go to the “Profile” tab on your member page, and you should see a link for “Change Profile Photo” in the blue box. If you click there, you can upload an avatar 😀

@scheng1 I get a regular amount of passive income from the referred visitors, which also comes from those same links. But yes, as far as the referred members are concerned it is slow going. It needs to be an active member, for the earnings to come in.

@bestwriter Did you ask for exactly $10, Grace? I think I saw something where they said the amount should be more than the minimum, and I had a few cents extra at the time. So I redeemed for a tiny bit more.

I was wondering if it would work for the exact amount of $10.

@morgoodie It’s the fault of others whose IP addresses are in the same block as hers. A significant number of abuses can get an entire block banned. Because her block is banned, she needs to be manually whitelisted. If her IP address gets reset, or if the whitelist for the site gets reset, it needs to be done again.

@scheng1 All sites do face it. I think staff are trying hard to prevent spam and plagiarism here, but the cheaters always find the loopholes.

@grecy095 Since LB only pays out once a month, it isn’t worthwhile to request payment until the end of the month. Presumably, you can request more than one payment if you reach $10 twice or more in the month. But it won’t get paid any earlier. And if you don’t make it to $10 after a payout request, you wouldn’t be able to request for part of $10. But you can request for $13 or $17, or whatever.

Does that make sense?

@scheng1 I posted my proof of payment earlier in my Facebook writer’s group and a lot of people said that’s what they had been waiting for. I hope that means we will see more new members and more people posting regularly.

@lovern Grecy says she is feeling a bit better. Her fever has come down a bit too. It seems she is able once again to access the site, but I believe the issue is her IP address.

She explained to me that she has been blocked by other sites (presumably because many IP addresses in her block are connected to abuse.) When her address changes, I think the site owners have to whitelist her each time again. Otherwise the software that protects against spammers will lock her out 🙁

@bestwriter I agree 100% with you, Grace. A rapist is a rapist, regardless of his background or his connections. This young man would have served more time had he been convicted of marijuana possession or a breaking & entering charge.

The bias is very plain to see. It feels like somebody (Daddy, the swim coach maybe) bought off the probation officer and the judge. This is corruption, and it’s an outrage.

@lovern I’m sorry to say the judge has not yet been removed, though I hope it will happen soon. At the moment there are people refusing to serve as jury members in his courtroom.

The prosecution asked for 6 years, and I believe the maximum sentence was 20 years. The judge apparently followed a recommendation from the probation report. It should also be noted the judge is a Stanford alumnus, who apparently got appointed to the bench by a fellow Stanford graduate. And he was a student athlete too.

The latest news is that potential jurors are now asking to be excused from Judge Persky’s courtroom. Twenty of them gave cited hardship because they are so upset over the light sentence this rapist was given. Hopefully, the judge will be removed and the sentence appealed.

@peachpurple I think I will try to get around 3-4 posts in, but every other day as I’m going to be trying to alternate between writing days and days that I do non-writing tasks. My posts vary a fair bit in length and in how much I get paid, but I think right now I’m averaging about 25 cents per post. So if I can post 4 every other day, it’s like 2 daily.

So if I can post 4 every other day, it’s like 2 daily. That’s 50 cents a day in posts and about another 10 cents for visitor referrals. If I add some interaction, I could bring my totals up to about a dollar a day.

So far this month I haven’t been as active as I would like to be, but I hope by posting every other day and interacting daily, I can improve that. If I manage to earn $1/day from now until the end of the month, I would cash out around $20 or $21 this month. I could potentially earn $30 in July, if I were disciplined about it.
