@peachpurple I don’t think drinking a cold beverage has ever brought on or exacerbated my cramps, but I can say that if I catch a chill they will get worse. They are also worse if I’m not getting enough liquids.
I recommend staying well hydrated. If you are feeling like plain water isn’t doing the trick, you might try a sports drink. Be careful…[Read more]

@peachpurple When I was a teenager I had severe cramps every month. I would lay on the bed with my knees in my stomach an cry and would pour the blood with clots coming out. My grandmother told my mother she used to do the same thing and the doctor told her to place a hot water bottle or heating pad on the stomach. The heat will help break down…[Read more]

I am sure every ladies and women do experienced menstruation cramps once in a while or almost every month.
I do not a consistent pain monthly but this month, I had this cramp that brought me down to the floor.
Yes, it was bleeding in clots but after 30 minutes, it stopped.
My mom used to tell me that consuming Panadol ( paracetamol) could ease…[Read more]

I think illnesses like HIV and cancer could have been cured by now if the drug companies wanted them to be. They make too much money off of them though so they keep making drugs that treat some of the disease but doesn’t cure it or cure all of it so they still make money.

@4cryingoutloud exactly. The feeling of it is normally happening at home makes me think it is normal indeed, that I don’t have to worry, that I need to get used to it and I never even imagine the silent impact these kinds of things to me. Whenever I will fall in love with someone, it makes me have this scary moment in my head that makes me think…[Read more]

I actually have to have typical therapy, the kind where you go and sit with a trained professional and talk about your issues, to help with my stress.
Other than that, I’d say driving with music on is my stress relief therapy.
Lola replied to the topic Bipolar Disorder in the forum Health Issues 8 years, 6 months ago
Mood swings are the biggest part of bipolar disorder. You have periods of depression and mania. Mania can be periods of increase energy, decreased need for sleep, grandiose ideas (thinking you’re above everyone else, have special powers, things like that). People think that mania is fun and sometimes it is at first…but then you get ag…[Read more]

I think some times our lives get so hectic and we become overwhelmed. We have every minute of the day full of things to do. Sometimes we can be so overwhelmed we need a way to “re-group” so we can focus on things again and to become less stressed. I know people who do yoga or meditation as therapy to get them energized and focused.
I find…[Read more]

@grecy095, oh definitely it probably does affect your relationships. I think that is why I was attracted to alcoholics, they were abusive. I was even attracted to men that were 10 years older, looking for a “father” figure. It’s hard to get over, when you’re around abuse, because you think that is “normal.” 🙁
it affects me big time @4cryingoutloud because it makes me not try to say yes to a suitor and start relationship because I am thinking I will end the same way. Though my parents are like that, they never gave up with each other and that is making me inspired as well, but still the abuse is there.

I read a quote somewhere which said that there is no profit in death and there is no profit in health either. So pharmaceutical companies want to keep people sick and dependent on medicines .
They keep churning out medicines that take care of the symptoms but will not cure the disease . Many doctors prescribe surgeries which are not needed…[Read more]

@peachpurple, hope you got help for the gallstones? I can relate to gallbladder problems, in fact I had mine removed.
@grecy95, yes that would be bulimia. That’s what I would do. At first I made myself throw up, then it just became automatic every time I ate I would just throw up. I knew no matter what I ate I was going to get fat and I did…[Read more]
@grecy095, absolutely!! Seeing a parent being abused can also cause problems in one’s life as well. Some times we fall into situations that are abused parents go through, thinking that that is the way all women should be treated and that’s NOT right either. Glad you mentioned this, because you witnessed abuse to your mother and that can have ef…[Read more]

@4cryingoutloud I never had an eating disorder but I know a classmate has bulimia, is that the right term? She was fat before and doesn’t want to get fatter so she eats what she wants to eat but vomit after it. She put a finger to touch her throat and there is a mark on her finger that she is putting it…[Read more]

Nope I never had earting disorder problem but I did had throwing up because I forced myself to do it.
I had gallstones in my gallbladder.

Those stones were stuck in the gallbladder pipeline .
So, the bile duct couldn’t move forward.
So, in order to stop the pain, I had to…[Read more]
I know I suffered abuse from my father, verbal abuse, not specifically to me but to my mother. My father verbally abuse my mother and I know it affects my decision to get myself to have my own family, to tie up in a marriage because I don’t want that to happen to me too.I don’t want a very abusive husband. I am praying he is not that kind. Up…[Read more]

Firstly, sorry to hear about it.

Like Angelina Jolie case.
I have 2 sister-in-laws and a niece who had breast C.
Both sister-in laws were hereditary case because their sisters and mom had the same disease too.
Only my niece isn’t which is the weird case.
All of them…[Read more]
