Last year Christmas Day, we had a whole roast turkey for dinner that we could hardly finish it because it was a huge bird that even 20 people in a family gathering, just couldn’t gobble it up.

    Mother in law […]

    • Which one tastes better, my friend, turkey or chicken. I haven’t tasted turkey meat yet, since here in the Philippines we don’t have turkey meat on the market. Chicken is much more popular.

So, can chicken instead be used with this recipe. I surely will try this because it’s so easy. I hope I can make it so tasty also.

    • It looks great. I heard about it now only. I am keeping a copy of it to try at home whenever I find leisure. There is one more item I have to try. That is Black Sesame seed soup which I had gone through very recently. This is also nice to read. I like cream also besides chocolate. I want to top it with strawberries. I also want to use less lemon juice as more of it gives me some reaction on the skin.

Black sesame seeds are a good source of hair nourishing and those grey hairs, it contains the vitamins and minerals such as copper, manganese, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, amino acids, selenium, […]

    • good article, it will help a lot of people who is having issue of hair loss

    • This is good to know about it. I have never come across this soup. In the Andhra Pradesh state of India, the sesame seeds are used in the preparation of Black Sesame balls which is made using jaggery. This is a very strong diet. Generally, only one piece will be eaten.Otherwise, it will cause more heat in the body.

Another variety of balls is also prepared using While seeds. It will be very tasty and the seeds contain more oil in them.

This is a very rich source of vitamins and is good for Bones and hair. The hair loss can be prevented taking 1 Black Sesame Balls. During summer, it is not advisable to take it and must be deleted from the wish-list.

    • I have never eaten black sesame seeds. I’m shocked to learn you can even make a dessert with them. It sounds like interesting food.

    • @treathy, yes , most of us take the white sesame seeds, in fact, the black one contains more vitamins if compared to the white one. If not mistaken, the black one is more difficult to get in the market and more pricey a little bit.
The functions or the eating way of both are about the same, so we can put some fried black or white sesame seeds on top of the salads other than nuts too to meet it nice to smell and eat. More important, for consuming its nutrients.
In fat, sesame seeds is cheaper if compared to the nuts because most of the nuts are from Tropical countries but not Asian countries, thus they are not our local nuts, except groundnuts. 😛
@sivasubrahmanyam, the black sesame balls must be nice. Our Indian friends here make the ball with some green bean powder. You are right, variety of balls can be made and prepared with seeds/nuts powder.
@Leo Mei, yes, it can help in hair loss problem.

    • Our staple food (meaning it is what is always on the table to go with the viands) here in the Philippines is rice. I am not actually a rice person. I can only consume just 3/4 cup of it.

However, when it is fried, I really can eat a lot.

I haven’t tried making fried rice with chicken strips. I think, with this recipe of yours, I will try it this weekend. It really seems delicious. Is that a picture of it or just from the net?

Oh, for sure, everybody in the house will love it, because when I cook fried rice and it is a lot, there will be nothing left from the big pan after the meal.

    • This picture really tempting, make my mouth watering.
I love to fry rice when there are spare rice or overnight rice, but I don’t cook rice very often during lunch time, thus I have to cook the rice for frying purpose and keep it overnight for the next day.

The kids love to order fried rice when eating out too, I think this dish can make them full and just easy to be eaten.

Americans are sharply divided these days. The irony is that I actually thought we were seriously divided when Obama was in office.  But ever since Trump ran, won and took office I have heard nothing but yelling […]

    • I’m not American nor do I live in America so I probably shouldn’t be commenting here but I couldn’t resist because I saw the tweets of the people on my timeline and they were outraged. Everyday, Trump signs on something and it outrages people.

I think Trump would be one of most hated Presidents of America in history if he continue to act rashly. He’s changing things too rapidly without consulting his public and the result is the outrage of his people.

I mean, people even celebs who DON’T normally comments on politics are speaking out and those rallies at airports and on the streets are saying something. He should try to connect with his public humbly and discuss why he want these changes that he’s actively doing. All I see on his twitter is hate and continues blaming of all the wrongs he sees.

It’s sad and scary to see America this way. Hopefully things will turn around for the better and all the hate and divide you’re all going through right now will turn into unity and peace.

      • Each say I don’t know what to expect. But I expect something!

By the way, it’s perfectly fine for non-Americans to comment. Decisions made in this country’s Oval Office have far-reaching impact. Every citizen in every country has the right to be concerned and should have a voice. If you heard gunshots in your neighbor’s house, would you say nothing or would you call the police? If a leader of another country was or is making decisions that could reach wherever you are and have an adverse effect, should you not speak on the matter?
