Are you a moderator tasked with this responsibility? How do members KNOW who does edits and also … if we’ve proven ourselves as faithful and reliable members who post quality content, WHY can’t we edit our own content? I can edit my own content at other sites like this one. It’s a valid question. CC: @Admin ; @Support
@sameke77 Is not the Moderator of Literacybase. Currently Support is handling all the moderation. If anyone needs to edit their post then he/she has to to inbox us with the information as mentioned in FAQ’s.
Due to limited functionality of edit, we can’t provide custom users to edit their posts either all users will edit it or non. Since providing editing options to all is the risk of providing way to insert spam in posts.
Currently we process every new posted articles for plagiarism and any possible spam detection to pass the test. By enabling editing option, this will become hard for us to recheck every edited article for any possible spam intervention. Hope this will address the issue. Our team is working on this to provide the ability to our limited users to edit their posts.
Though, it would have been better if there is an edit button which only the member who wrote it can edit. Usually, I would proof read my post after it is submitted complete with pictures.
It is only then, that i would notice what are the mistakes.
Send the link of your post so that I can edit it for you! Cheers!
