Hubpages has become a waste of keystrokes, Niume plays with hits, so that you can’t be sure how many people viewed your work, so they can lie about how much you earn.

As to Blogjob, if there are any ads on the pages, well, the money goes into the owners pocket.

kaylar wrote a new post, How Society Causes You To Change 7 years, 5 months ago

I just took a bag of clothes which I can no longer wear due to age and put them into the trash.   When I was a little kid, we used to put them into a box and give them to a charity.

When I was older I did the […]

    • This is a very interesting piece, considering that we live in a society where we have the rich, the poor and the middle class. Am just shocked at the statement you made that your friend have out some used clothes and people said they could not wear them? Anyway i can’t be shocked enough because I know there are people like that in this world. Let me just say this it doesn’t mean that if you can’t wear them you should make such bad comments. There are people who hope that someone would send them clothing however small but it would be sheer luck if they got clothes that have been worn once. Anyway one thing i know is that second hand clothing is used by just about everyone and to say the truth they are usually far much better and of good quality than some of the clothes that are even sold as new. It’s very unfortunate the way society views and takes things for granted. I am one of those people who take the opportunity to bless children’s homes, the less fortunate with the stuff or clothing that i don’t use, and never have I felt embarrassed about it. People may say all sorts of things but I know I have saved a child from walking naked. It doesn’t matter whether the clothes have been worn before or not the issue is you have no clothes and Someone has seen it right to bless You, why not appreciate the gesture it costs you nothing after all. The society needs to change and realize that people are different.

In Jamaica, while a case is going on, one is not to discuss the aspects of it.  Although in high profile cases the news will report who took the stand or when an adjournment is granted, the legal bits are not to be discussed.

Once a case is decided, the entire judgment can be published.

There is a very simple answer;  You don’t.

This is not a job where the boss has to tell you he’s closing down, and pays you off.   This is a business in which  you take all the risk.

You join, and maybe use yo […]

    • It is really a gamble; we just rely on the honesty of the site owner(s). It’s a pity if are “robbed” of the time and effort devoted to a site. It could be a frightening thing for us!

    • Well, it’s one of the perils of joining writing sites; and sometimes we just charge it to experience; to learn from it and be very critical the next time! Hope this site will be reliable and not be one of those sites you mentioned.

If you had left America and went to somewhere there is no television and spent ten years there, you would find all the new programs very strange.

In ancient days there was a Star, Co-Star, and some co-co stars. […]

    • It is probable that only those familiar with dramas of the 1950s, 60s, 70s and early 80s would notice the change from the one/two star to the ensemble.

For example, if the actor playing Dr. Kildare was unwell or unavailable there was a problem. Now the actor playing Dr. Preston can leave the show and no one much notices his absence.

    • Sorry to hear about your bad experience with HP. I was not at that site for you know I am active in my work. How nice if HP is still existing so I may also experience better pay. I only had taste better pay at Blogjob and previously BB. Those kind of writing sites must not be careless enough to just pay higher so there is retention. They seem do not have a statistician or programmer to control the flow of their site. Too high pay means short-lived site.

      • It had been good, now it is a waste of keystrokes. It’s sad but I blame the owners. For if they had kept a standard they wouldn’t have suffered.

    • I have some hubs at Hubpages, but they weren’t very popular, so I didn’t get a lot of money from them. Anyway, I noticed the changes there, it has changed, and it’s not for good. Good article!
