I have it installed on my Android. The app works very fine. But the issue is I have around 100 or more Nature shots taken. And despite being quality images, I failed to find a buyer. It’s hard to make money on foap. Some people have some level of success there. But for me it is not much earning so letting it go.

I have to agree with Sarah. It’s harder to get income on Mylot than here. Considering even reaching 50 cents takes days for some. And some people on mylot can make 10$ per month without any much hard-work. Then again, many of us are in earning search so it all depends on where we find the source.

There was a site called Wikinut.  It was a pleasant site and it paid.  Every item was moderated but not severely.   The site demanded long items… over 1k with 5 images, 5 bold words and 5 links.  Then one could get a Star.

One would be on the Star Page and likely to be read.

    It was a solid site.

with the Bub I was paid $25 then $50 then stopped.  They didn’t pay people from the Caribbean or Africa.  As Dixit is Indian he paid a segement of Indian members, and American and British members.  He slipped up with an America who flagged him.

I earned on the other sites when they were alive.  Now it is only this one, Niume and Mylot.

Now I’m going to Talk about Triond.

This was the Best Site.   Why?

Firstly they paid you, and you would also be paid via Adsense.

Secondly, they had a number of subsites; Webmd, if you were discussing medical/heath, Notecook, if you were doing recipes, Socyberty if you were dealing with cultural/social situations, on and on, so that each sub…[Read more]

I joined Hubpages about the same time as you did.  The earnings weren’t bad.  They collapsed in 2010.  After that 5c a month was pretty standard.

Why write so many words, so many images, and get so little?

And when you look at their ‘top’ stories, they are nothing I much care to read.

I am Hubpages member since 2009. So I have seen hubpages ups and downs. And now I can see that they are getting non google traffic. So yes, they did survived. It’s not easy to survive more than 11 years on web. They are doing it. With adblcoker it would be harder. But let’s see what happens.

If you Join Hubpages, you aren’t going to make much money.  The kind of stuff they publish which gets views, is as you say, niche.   If you find the niche and you are interested in that stuff… fine.  If you want to write what you want to write about, don’t expect many views.

I think in between swagbucks and the efforts put into Mturk. I would say a lot of people can go for the MTurk. Because it’d be easier to learn MTurk and make some small percent of money. Otherwise you know both of them are going to earn low.

Hubpages is not relying on google SEO and the adblocker. So they are working hard on so many variables. It means they are going to find better way to get traffic. Hubpages hardly gets traffic from googel anymore but they are making good money. Hubpages is using niche site to get traffic and they are also running newsletters and social media…[Read more]

    • I did Amway and never again. I saw how many people get hyped up and get nowhere. I did have a friend who achieved a measure of success but I was not convinced to enroll. I have another friend who is involved and has not made much money and is still after me to enroll. Their products are expensive and I could do better elsewhere. So, please if you are approached by someone, run as fast as you can and not look back. Granted, some have succeeded but I would advise you to stay away.

Adblocker didn’t destroy Helium.   Helium did it all itself.  Who wants to waste time on such a site?  Imagine researching some topic, writing, posting….and your item is discarded. Nah.

I guess lot of sites are dying so the people are scattered around. So mylot, forumcoin and Literacybase have the common people around. It’s fun to have familiar faces around. That way it does not get bored. You too have a good week ahead.

HubPages is still ‘active’, term used loosely.   It once paid fairly well, had many good writers, and had Twelve MIllion Hits a Month.   Twelve Million.   Getting 1k hits on an item was minor, as many writers got so much more.

The site demanded long articles with lots of images.

Helium died way before adblocker. So I guess their exit definitely helped the owners. As you know it’s hard to make money from ads now. So it’s really a trouble to see how many sites these days are going to pay. Afterall, we can’t see sites surviving despite having adblocker.
