Mahesh replied to the topic When is it time to stop trying and give up? in the forum Group logo of Family & RelationshipsFamily & Relationships 7 years, 8 months ago

I think that is difficult question to answer. Because at some point people say never give up and at some people say that you should give up and spend time elsewhere. I guess it depends on the context. And we have to understand where exactly things are better left alone. That is what is going to decide how much we are going to have to struggle and…[Read more]

I think sharing is encouraged. But If I remember, the articles should end with your referral ID. In order for you to get credit for the views or the referrals that may sign up here. I am guessing there was one explanation post made by the LB support. So they explained about that referral ID part. Another thing I learned in the process is that…[Read more]

For me playing with pets work. I also listen to EDM and trance music. Most likely that two alone can stop most of the anxiety that I get. Also the amount of effort it needs for me to get back into the real world requires more effort. So I do sketching. I also read something inspirational. That may slowly helps out too. But from the way things work…[Read more]

Mahesh wrote a new post, You Can’t Have Plan for Everything 7 years, 8 months ago

I was under impression that in life we have plans for everything. You may find that life does not work like that. Life has always worked on the basis of flow of cash, decisions of others and how it affects you. […]

    • When we plan, there should always be at least two options. That is because in case plan A fails, then you can try plan B.

We have to take into consideration our budget if we plan for example on having a business. We also take into consideration, the licenses that it would entail. Foremost also is how we should manage the said business.

In addition, when we plan a business, we should make a feasibility study if it will have the chance of succeeding in your business plan. Location of the business should also be given importance because if it is not strategically located, there will be less customers who will go to your place of business.

Lastly, in the business plan, you should add on how you can have a hands on in the business. That is because a lot of business go bankrupt because they let a relative take the cashiering. A lot of cases like that happened here in the Philippines.

    • I don’t think it’s healthy to expect all of your plans to work out. I realized some time ago that it’s best for me not to make many plans. I just go with the flow and avoid the disappointment of plans falling through. I planned to do many great things and it hasn’t happened yet but I am happy relying on myself now and not making plans with other people.

    • Smile is contagious, as it is proven by myself. Even if I am not smiling wide, but my lips are pursed into a semi-smile and my eyes looks happy, I always get to see a smile too to the person I meet along the way and even on the jeepney I ride to work each morning.

When I also get smiles, I feel happy because I was able to make them smile, as they too made me happy and positive to face the day.

A smile can make an achy heart smile too. It helps them to at least be happy even for that very moment they smile, even if their heart is achy.

If only all the people will smile when they meet people on the streets, this world will be a happy place to live.

I think journaling is a very good way to understand our feelings better. Sleep has always been good for me. Mindfulness is so important. Being aware of our feelings and having a good support system is wonderful. I have severe depression with panic attacks. I live with my daughter who is bi-polar and her son who has ODD. Not fun at times.  Very challenging.

I agree that some of the time we give generic advice. And that is not even got to be placed in the right context. I have seen that some of the time person can end up in more of troublesome situation by doing that. Advice needs to be given only if that is meant to be helping in one way or the other. Most likely people don’t have much to say and…[Read more]
