Arnold Cruz wrote a new post, A Tale Of Two Tragedy: The Steve Stephens’ Incident 7 years, 7 months ago

The shooting of Robert Godwin Sr., by Steve Stephens which was posted by the latter in Facebook was indeed a human tragedy.

What started as human tragedy has ended into another human tragedy. If the news is t […]

    • It is sad that Robert Godwin Sr. was killed in that manner. I feel for his children the trauma they will undergo more especially that he was murdered in full view of some of his children.
As for the killer,Steve Stevens, by killing himself has made the case even very difficult because there is no one to prosecute.

    • It is just so sad indeed, that an innocent old man be shot just like that without any provocation, much more from a man he doesn’t even know.

That is why, our president, is also so angry with drug addicts and especially with those drug Lords.

Who knows, the killer of the old man is also into drugs that he would just kill just like that.

No man in his right man can do that. It has to be from someone who is mentally disturbed already.

I hope he rots in jail for doing that.

    • The first time I have read this news from the favorite online news source I was deeply touched and I pitied so much this old man who is too innocent. He had served as a collateral damage to the frustration of the killer Steve.

People regarded the killing as a senseless and they demand that justice must be served. But it wasn’t. It ended in another giving off of life. The culprit himself who was seen in a fast food wanted to order some foods, was spotted by a personnel of that fast food center and it was reported right away to the nearby police officers. Then car chasing ensued until the criminal killed himself for helpless anymore.

Arnold Cruz wrote a new post, North Korea Could Never Win This War Against The United States And Its Allies 7 years, 7 months ago

One thing is sure in this current situation: the world is all watching as the events unfold in the Korean Peninsula.

The USS Carl Vinson escorted by various battleships is just within the striking distance from […]

    • Yes. I agree with you.The GDP of Korea is 15.4 billion and that of U.S is 18,2 trillion. Where is the comparison? The density of population is202/Kmxkm for Korea whereas it is 35/ km x km. Is it because of this North Korea hoping the support from South Korea wants to test its missiles? The question of making any strike will disfigure the country from the map of the world. I do not think Korea will take up such decision at least in the interest of its own people. It is not necessary for U.S to make any strike against this small fragmented nation. Sweden which has got its own interests in U.S is trying to ally itself to U.S. This is sufficient it takes up the strike. The dictator may have his own reservations if Korea takes the strike which of course, not a near possibility for.

      • Hi Sivasubrahmanyam,

Thank you for your comment. I also agree with your observation. The hassle in this situation is that for sure in the event of any shooting war it’s always the civilian population or non-combatants which most often than not are always caught between the cross-fire.

It is hard to think the human costs or the number of innocent men, women and children who’s going to die in this war if and when any nuclear weapons will be unleashed in the process.

It is possible that North Korea will use its civilian populations as human shields or bargaining chips in a manner of speaking so as to prevent any pre-emptive strikes on the part of the United States and its allies against it.

What is revolting to the conscience is to treat innocent men, women and children as mere collateral damage in any nasty and dirty war.

Yes we do not want war to happen, much less nuclear war for that matter, for indeed war is hell but what can we do under the circumstances if going to war is the last remaining option left if all diplomatic and peaceful solution failed.

I’m just crossing my fingers that no nuclear weapons will be unleashed if this on-going incident between the United States and North Korea escalates.

    • If classical books were not relevant in the computer age, nobody would have bothered to convert them to digital. They are even working on a project to have the Dead Sea Scrolls converted to digital format. I read that months ago. I don’t know what the status of the project is. What I really like that most of those books are now eBooks and are FREE to the readers! 🙂

    • With respect, the only thing I see that the leaders of Syria and North Korea have in common is that they are both carrying on by walking in their fathers’ footsteps. Huge shoes to fill; and sadly those “shoes” were walking in the wrong direction. (O.o)

Many people may think of the head of North Korea has nothing more than a “spoiled guinea brat”. I don’t. But I also don’t think it’s wise to provoke him. If he is willing to kill family, why should he restrain himself from others who threaten or provoke him? Nevertheless, I don’t think he’s willing for his small part of the world to blown off the face of the earth!!! However … __________. What can I say? Prophecies and predictions are nothing more than “best guesses” these days.
