It is more manipulation I think.   The point is, for every person who looks, reads, and comments there are those who look, and because the site is open for 1 minute you get the hit, those who read, but don’t comment.

If I get comment and  3 hypes… and no hits?   C’mon.   They’re playing.

Arnold Cruz wrote a new post, Is The Decision To Ban The Jehovah’s Witnesses In Russia Correct? 7 years, 7 months ago

Just recently the Russian Supreme Court has rendered a decision prohibiting The Jehovah’s Witnesses from exercising its religious freedom in Russia. The decision further ordered the closing of all of Jehovah’s Wit […]

    • That’s incredible! I don’t know but I’m pretty sure the Jehovah’s Witnesses do the same thing here in America. I don’t think we’ve ever thought it necessary to take them to the Supreme Court. By the way, I never really thought Russia was big on allowing religious freedom anyway. So the decision is not really shocking or surprising. Maybe I’m wrong though. Maybe Russia does permit religious freedom. I just never thought they did. I’ll admit I’m wrong if I’m wrong. Am I wrong?? (O.o)

    • Hi Treathyl FOX,

Thank you very much for your reply. You are right in your observation. Russia is not known for its good record concerning the observance of human rights whether for the individual or group.

I was talking early this morning to two members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses who are making a door to door distribution of their pamphlet or religious literature. And I asked them what’s happening now in Russia about their members there in relation to the recent decision of the Russian Supreme Court banning their religion.

They told me that this is not the first time that such an incident happened in Russia. They told me that in the 1950’s during the time of Stalin members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses were hauled into a train and were deported from Russia.

I hope members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses will find a legal remedy so that the decision of the Russian Supreme Court might be reverse.

For me the said decision was a bad decision on the part of the Russian Supreme Court.

Not only that, it reflect again on Russia’s bad record in so far as the observance of human right within its country is concern.

Religious tolerance must always be observed.

      • Many leaders in ancient kingdoms learned the “secret of tolerance”. Sadly some of those in power don’t realize that if you don’t have people, you don’t have a country or a kingdom.

Don’t leaders also understand that when they deport people they deport their intellligence, skills and talents too?

Don’t leaders understand that when they persecute or exploit people, that’s not being a good leader. It’s just making people angry! If you make people unhappy by mistreating them, it will eventually backfire in your face! The historical records all around the world prove this to be so.

If the “religious” citizens are not causing disruption, committing crimes, etc.; and they are a part of the general population living in peace with their fellow man, why can’t you just leave them alone? How hard can it be to keep the peace? You can rule a lot more people using peaceful methods than you can with ruthless power plays. It’s easy for a leader to figure out which way is the path of peace. It’s the opposite direction of the path that leads to war!

This usually terminates by High School, (in the best cases) because the other […]

    • You’re rite

    • It makes sense at some point but I guess stupid people are sometimes followed by the intelligent one’s as well. You know why here is a scenario where secondary school kids probably in a boarding school just want to be rude and cause damages in the school maybe for a very petty issue. In this case you will find the intelligent kids trying to come up with some smart way to get the problem fixed by seeking attention from the administration, but before they execute their plan some stupid student as you call them comes up with a plan that they should strike, and viola! Everyone agrees to this stupid idea. The stupid guy will get everyone involved regardless of whether they are stupid or intelligent. To them they think mmmhhh this is a brilliant idea and they go on with it, and guess what their plight is heard and things change. So in this kind of scenario can we still call the student stupid? I guess stupidity sometimes plays a special role in our lives don’t you think so? I think sometimes it’s necessary because it can save us from certain situations.

    • I also do that, I try to accomplish small things that can make me happy and feel fruitful. Yes, reading inspirational thoughts can really helpease depression.

    • Yes getting inspired is the best way for one to get healed from frustrations, stress or depression. Because when you read this materials you will get to see and understand that you are not alone and that there are lots of people who are also going through the same things as well maybe even worse. I know for me when am feeling stressed out i result to listening to gospel music and i just worship and praise that way when I sing along I get words of encouragement and that keeps me going. I thank God for the new tv programmes that we get to watch on tv. Whoever came up with this brilliant idea should be given an award. I know there are so many people who are saved from certain situations because of this programming. There is the Joel Osteen shows, we have Joyce Meyer, creflo deli, John Hagee and so many more others who will speak words of hope, Faith and so much more. So all this things can really help in people’s lives. I get so encouraged I hope people watch them too. We also have life stories how people have overcome sin, death, poverty and so on. So don’t get lost in the world of depression look around you there is always a solution somewhere.
