Really now a days people start comparing them with others.people did not stretch there legs according to their blanket.
-
Yeah every wasted drop of water in marriage functions and other functions like that could have helped a thirsty person and the food which gets wasted in marriage and other functions like that could have feed a large group of hungry people, even our ancestors’ and all the religious books in the world have already instructed us to never waste water and never waste food as it will affect us and as food and water are necessities of life, so we should try to save water and never waste food and try to put both water and food in their best use and optimum use, so nothing gets wasted and then we never have to feel sorry for that.
If we are god lover then at least we should follow these simple things
-
-
Yeah exactly, even i am very frustrated at this behaviour of people and I have read now government is making policies so that people cannot waste food here and there in marriage and other functions relate with that, they will try to put a limit on spending I think but only god knows how much possible it will be to lessen the waste of food as food is the main necessity and lakhs of rupees get wasted on them and this is the worst part. Of course people should try either to save the money which they waste on unnecessary things in marriage or may donate it to needy or even give that to trusts who always make possible marriages of youth which are not able to spend on weddings for like samuhik vivah and things like that, which are time to time organised my many trusts and even by many religious and even non religious bodies with coordination with different temples or sikh temples etc.
-
I can understand the way you feel. Weddings do seem to have become ridiculously expensive and silly all over the world, not just India. I like seeing all the colour and so on, but when a couple then has to struggle with basic living it is not good. In fact, these days in the UK you can do quite a cheap wedding if you involve all your friends and they contribute, but that would be socially acceptable here.

As a mother the biggest and the most time taking task for me is feeding my son. This is something which is like a burden on my shoulders after every few hours.
I agree to your point that feeding while watching TV is not advisable. But this is my only lifeline. If he is not engrossed in television or tablet he will not open his mouth for sure.
I really wish i will find a solution soon.

hi Dr. Kikol, I have no T.V and no tablet at home only smart phone. But, my 8 year-old daughter might love to read while eating. We will scold her and warn to take away her meal.
Because, we want her to taste, appreciate and enjoy the real food. Your kids might be a little younger, but only serve him food when he is hungry, maybe can help to push him to eat faster or open his mouth. 🙂And, compete with other same age peer can help the kids to build up good habit too, maybe it will help when he is entering the kinde next year! All the best!

It is a supply and demand ratio. More demand would mean less supply and so the rate goes up. This is the case with all commodities.
-
Yes, that is true. We studied this in College – the law of demand and supply.
Though, even if they didn’t but the commodity in a higher price because they have an existing stock, they really would mark up their price since they know that the demand is high. Whether it’s more expensive the people will buy it.
Sad though, that the people would buy because they can’t do anything since they need it that moment.

I am happy that you really knows the things to do with regards to the schooling of your kids.
Indeed, it would be nice that the children be sent on an afternoon schedule and would just be fetched by the working mother, as she comes home from work.
Though, I think in our place kindergarten or prep-school starts at about 9:00 a.m. AT least, by then the child could have slept well. ANd yes, they should be trained to sleep early at night so they won’t detest waking up early for school the next day,
Sometimes, we as parents should think of ways on how we can make things easier for our kids lest we too will be stressed by them not waking up early or not wanting to go to school.
-
@Dina, haha, my solution is not sending him out for nursery, so he can sleep as much as he can, but his father doesn’t like him to sleep too much till too late to wake up.
Yes, agree with you, the pressure from the parent will caused the children not willing to go to nursery and sometimes, too much homework will made the children don’t like to go to nursery too.

Yes, when you are a stay at home, you can just educate your kid yourself. There are a lot of learning books that you can show to him to aid your teaching. Besides indeed you can teach him a lot of things more, like good manners, Godly teachings and yes crafts that a kid can do.
In our times as a kid, we were taught how to read the ABCs through an old retired teacher/ auntie who teaches what we call “kartilla”.
At least before we went to formal first primary grade, we already know how to read as well as write the ABCs amongst other things.
As to the tuition fee, just minimal.
-
Thanks for sharing, yes, we learnt from some retired teacher or educated auntie or uncles when we were kids, and some of us learn drawing or colouring when attended the class in the church. The guide taught us sing and dance as well. What a sweet memory.
I prefer to let my kid stay at home not only cost saving, but I don’t want him to be burdened by too many home work, have no time to play around and climb the trees. Hahah!

That’s a colorful festival you have in South India. Does it mean anyone can decorate their bulls like that and have it for display in a plaza perhaps where there will be lots of people who will be watching?
Can the people donate money too and other foods? WHere will they be placing their donations in kind? And the donation in money will be given directly to the owner of the bull?
