@ruby3881 Okay thanks. It sounds like a great site.

@morgoodie Exactly, I am hoping the same for mine when she becomes an adult. The good thing is I know a lady whom is a registered nurse with the exact same problems as my daughter, she takes her meds regularly and has been a successful nurse for years, that gives me a lot of hope for our childrens future even with their difficulties. As for the teachers I agree with you but like you said that probably is just wishful thinking. It seems as if all the teachers at my daughters school are oblivious that some children need more assistance than others even at the more advanced ages. I guess they think just because they look and for the most part act normal that they are normal when in fact they need a little extra shove in the right direction. I have also learnt that my daughter does extremely better if she tries to do something and you praise her for trying even if it is incorrectly done. Which I have expressed to the school but I do not think it is being implemented. I think they only praise her when it is done correctly to their standards. |

@ruby3881 Okay, Thanks for your advice. I will keep this in mind when I apply for this site and hopefully write for them as well. |

@joDee Stout I hope Blogjob goes back to paying soon. I haven’t heard anything for awhile, have you? |

@moregoodie I just started last month with mylot but I like it. It is kind of like social media. The more you interact the more money you get. If I write something, you like or comment on it I get paid and in turn you post and I will return the favor and you earn. It kind of goes like that. Well for most of us. Some you comment on don’t on yours and vice versa but so far I like it. |

@ morgoodie that’s what I keep telling myself just 7 more years but honestly I feel that’s for my sanity because she will still have these issues and I know that it is harder on her than it is on me. I too, feel like one of those moms because it is not right them punishing her for something they are failing to do. According to them she has less homework than the others but really I see no difference. Luckily about two years ago I became unable to work outside of the home due to health issues because I am at the school more than I am at home. |

@peachpurple Hubpages sounds pretty good I am thinking of giving it a try. Yeah, I know about Blogjob I was on there until the rewards program was suspended. I wished it would come back. I really liked it. @ruby3881 Yes I am thinking about signing up for Textbrokers US, I checked out the site it seems like a pretty good deal. @manasi I have been on Mykites. Honestly, there is not really anything going on, on there anymore. I am on Mylot and I get a lot better response and payout every month than on my kites. |

@morgoodie Even though mine was going out of the class everyday the teachers still sent home quite a bit of homework. Instead of doing like I told them to and write it in her agenda what she was to do at home they left it up to her to do which she won’t do because she struggles with the work. When she would go to school the next day and not have it they would punish her by giving her after school detention. Yet her therapist says not to fight with her over the homework if she does one or two problems on each page it shows she knows how to do it. Fine. But the school doesn’t look at it that way and punishes her.
@anthony Davis Thank you. That is what I tell her all the time. No one is perfect everyone has their faults.

@Moregoodie No, the others would be out of district, so I have to send her to this school there are 2 or 3 more near us but they said they are out of our district. Mine goes to public school and it really isn’t no better than what you are telling me about private school, of course with you being in a different state it might. The homework thing I try to not let go because when she fibs and tells me there is none and there is they give her after school detention for not having assignments and that makes her late on her afternoon medicine and even more defiant against homework. |

@morgoodie School got out here on Thursday and I was so happy. My daughter had to do the same thing with the spelling words. At the beginning of the year they made them all do a science project, in which they had to take pictures of, tell what they thought would happen before they done it, etc. something we would have assembled in the higher grades, plus she had to do all the other homework it didn’t go over well at all. I had a time keeping her focused on it. I’m glad this year is over. I am dreading next year. |
|
@morgoodie They have agendas . The school furnishes every year for them to write spelling words, homework, special events, etc. in. Problem is mine won’t write her homework down it and when prompted about homework she will tell you she has none. She does this because the work is frustrating to her. I told her teacher if she has homework you write it in the agenda or email me what the homework is. The teacher said okay, I had to tell the teacher this numerous times, it never did happen. @cely Exactly, that is what I said but this school doesn’t want to take special care with the special needs children. They want to treat them all like normal kids. I have told them time and time again what to do to help her and how to keep her calm and focused but they don’t even really try. |
|
@ruby3881 Thanks for the advice. I will try these suggestions next year. Today was the last day for this year. For hopefully your suggestions will work and next year will be a better year. |
|
@ruby3881 Yes, I’ve noticed because she is less sensitive to my child’s needs. Really all the teachers have seemed a little put off because I told them they needed to be more patient and work with her more than the other students. |
|
@ruby3881 I hope this works out for her next year. At home I have implemented a chore chart and for every chore she does she gets a sticker and at the end of the week if she has done well she gets to get in the treat box, which is has everything she likes in it, and she gets to pick her one new item out. This has worked really well. @Moregoodie She wouldn’t have this set up now if I wouldn’t have told them it was done in the home and worked well. It was done in lower grades and stopped at second grade. I am glad your daughter has done so well this year. Mine not so much in school but she has started to become interested in wearing lip gloss, clothes, and things of that nature. Sad part is my daughters principal used to be a special education teacher and she still does not have no compassion for kids like ours and it is a shame. @Mark Graham I think that is a wonderful idea, because these kids are treated like normal kids and that doesn’t work, they need compassion, understanding, and sometimes a little push in the right direction. |
