My given name is Amy so I’m going to use it for the colors in my name (yes, I’m American so I spell colors differently). A. Amethyst…I choose that color because I love the color purple and Amethyst is the most beautiful color purple I know. It also has meaning metaphysically as a stone which is calming and meditative, and I really need calming properties in my life. It is supposed to be healing and soothing, which I also need in my life right now. M. Maroon…I think of this color as very special and royal. I was never brought up to believe that I was special or important and I still struggle with feeling that way today. I need this color in my life more to remind me I am important and special in people’s lives and to myself. Y. Yellow…Yellow is the color of happiness and joy. It also happens to be the color of my nails at the moment ;). When I feel happy, I feel over the moon happy. I feel emotions intensely and when things are good, they aren’t just good – they are joyful! These are the colors of my name. As you can see, two of them I picked because they are things I need more of in my life. I’m working a lot right now on improving my life and moving to a new phase of my life as I work towards moving to a new state and starting life with my fiance.

I’m supposed to come off the meds in a few days, but if I start hurting again then I’ll have to go back on them in spurts until these little ‘you know whats’ as I call them come out! Yeah I was warned about the possibility of some nerve damage or irritation to the nerves in my face. Been told the teeth on the bottom are going to be the worst to get out as they are sideways AND twisted. At least my dentist is honest with me, she straight up said “Its gonna be a ____” |

I’m not spending too much of my day here for sure. I spend maybe and hour or so. Today I’m spending more because I’m babysitting and the kids are amusing themselves (they are 10 and 12). I would think 7-12 hours is too much but who am I to judge? If being here isn’t disrupting a person’s life then they can be on here as long as they want to be. |

I’m hoping not to have to put it off past Sept 10th as I’m in quite a bit of pain from these darn teeth 🙁 The dentist has me on strong anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxers right now. |

I have a big phobia of dental related things/medical stuff. I’m currently being forced to face it as the wisdom teeth are coming out this summer. I’m fortunate that I’m getting a ton of support through this! People here and on my other writing site have been cheering me on and giving advice, as well as my friends in the non-virtual world. I figure if nothing else, after this summer I’m going to have this fear conquered. I used to be terribly afraid of having blood drawn. Then I went on two medications which required regular blood tests. I got over my fear pretty darn fast because I had no other choice. Sometimes with your fears, you just have to charge at them head on and you get over them that way. |

@rapidblue Thanks for the timeframe. I know that for 7 days I’m going to have stitches in so certainly no events in that time. I’d prefer to give myself 14 days as I’ve been told I will look like a chipmunk, and not a cute chipmunk from the swelling. |

Thanks for the advice. I found out my surgery consult will be July 14, so surgery could certainly be a issue in early Sept. I decided I will certainly talk to my cousin privately about what is going on and let her know I plan to be at her wedding but something might interfere. |

My experience with MyLot has been nothing but good. I’ve personally not encountered any problems as a female member and this thread is the first I’ve heard of any women having problems over there. Links are allowed as long as you aren’t making money off of them on another site (like a referral link), I actually posted one to a YouTube video today. There was recently a tiny message spammer problems and the admins were very prompt with their response to it. The community is very positive overall and has a lot of good conversation. In the USA, early morning and evening are very popular and active times. I love the site and recommend joining for sure! |

I also agree about a preview before posting. The mods had to go and edit a title of one of my posts because I made a typo. It would save them work like that. It could be a one time preview, it would prevent concerns about going back and editing or erasing work long past its posting, but still give people the chance they are looking for to check things. |

The throwing soda cups in the street, I could see kids in any generation doing it, it was the throwing them back in the street after I had them pick them up that made me so mad. Wow, the firecrackers in soda cans was very dangerous!!! |

What to do, what to do… I’d like to earn 20 cents here and interact on the forums some. Post 1 blog or maybe 2. Do my usual amount of writing/commenting/etc over at MyLot. Get my nails done. Maybe go to the gym (eh, not counting on that one). Get the hamster cage cleaned. Sit outside while doing my stuff here and on MyLot this afternoon. |

Those trees are actually overgrown ones in the next yard over, and that yard is only HALF of my yard 😉 I will try to get some more pictures today for you! Your son would love my yard, it is huge – two yards in one actually. Not many bees yet, we had a shortage of bees here two years ago and they are still recovering. There will be more as summer hits though. |
