Sting, a popular singer/musician, has a line in one of his songs: “I hope the Russians love their children too.” After the recent events of the chemical attack in Syria and “political fingers being pointed” at Russia who is “propping up” the “puppet named Assad ~ I’m still trying to understand. You tell me if this logic makes sense. That 2 or 3 year old will likely grow up and be a threat to this country, so might as well kill them now! Right?
When soldiers go off to war, they are to expected to fight with their equals, i.e., other armed soldiers. When a child goes to sleep at night, they don’t expect to wake up gasping for air because an adult decided while they were sleeping that they were bad and needed to be disposed of! This has nothing to do with any country, in my mind. All I see are children. Unarmed, untrained for combat, innocent trusting souls who depend on others to protect and care for them because they can’t do it for themselves.
