Exactly. The time wasted kills the item… so putting it somewhere else and 3 days later hearing it was rejected… That really isn’t good enough.

so you say, but you’re a ‘newbie’ like me. You can’t put your hand in your pocket and hand me the coin. |

I totally agree… sometimes I reread an item and there are mistakes, simple mistakes I would love to fix. |

Let me be brutally frank; when moderation of a post is over 24 hours there is a real problem. Most moderated sites do not cause a delay of more than 2 hours in most cases, as they have enough mods in enough time zones so as to insure that topical items don’t wind up being published elsewhere. The delay is orchestrated to slow down the reaching of the redemption. Hence a writer discussing the Olympics might post here at 10 am and when the item is still unmoderated at 1 pm they post it elsewhere. By the time the site gets around to the item, two days from now.. oh… it’s published elsewhere… duh. |

Maybe they are running out of money and delaying. I can tell you.. if I post 4 blogs on Thurs… 2 will appear on Saturday. |

I use Iobit. I use others as well, keep changing them… but IObit is my foundation. |

It shouldn’t. In past, legitimate sites paid automatically. If you had 38c or $28.00 at the end of the month, you got it. The site owners were honest. They didn’t need to dip into your coin. They didn’t need to rob Peter to pay Paul. They had no ‘threshold’ because they were honest. Over time the threshold came in so as to limit payment, which of course would delay payment. The so-called money you earned would be used to pay others and hopefully, when it was your turn other people’s money would pay you. To give the owners more control came the ‘date’ so that if one is paid on the 10th, for example, for the early part of the month, mods sit on their hands so that cut off passes and you go into the next batch. |

I put in for my redemption and will see if I get it. If I do then I know that although moderation is slow I will eventually be paid. If I don’t…. |

It is not an accident. It is not overworked Mods. It is the fact you write quality hence YOU have to be slowed down. They must get a ream of quality posts so that they can make $$$. People will come here, read you… but you won’t get any $$$ next month you may get some coin for what you wrote in May or June. If the site exists in September. |
|
On every site there are those who are paid, always paid, You recall good old Bubblews. Then there are those who are sacrificed. They may get 100k views for a post, but they get no $$ It is the basic scam paradigm.

There is no mystery that LB has no money. To slow down a writer’s reaching the ‘threshold’ allows them to gain the usage of an item they are not paying for. For example; You join May 1. You write and write, and by the 10th you have $2.00. You write and write but by June 10 you have $9.76. You write and write and by July 10 you have $11.23 so put in for the redemption. If the site had published the items you wrote on May 1 on May 1 you might have, with diligence and networking reached $10.00 on May 10th. Hence by hold back and taking 2 or 3 days to publish, by rejecting perfectly good articles, (which one should save a copy of and a week later change the title and resubmit….understand that many rejections are simply to prevent you reaching the threshold) Your payment is delayed. Your items, published May 1 may be gaining a lot of views, but you will not benefit from that. You have to pray, in May that the site survives until August to see if you get paid. |

To prevent users from reaching the ‘redemption’ the moderators hold back items to keep the writer below the pay out. There is no limit on how many items you can submit a day, but depending on how badly Literacy Base is doing financially, that is how many will be published. There is nothing strange about writing three items on Thursday and one being published on Saturday one on Sunday. This is because LB needs to keep down the earnings of its users as it can’t really pay them.

I didn’t know what happened until I had to fix the image… and when I saw the potch she made of my item, I deleted it and ran. |
|
Exactly. She does not write better than I do, and she has no idea what I am writing about. Esp. when I write about Jamaica or a topic I know. |
|
That is what a mod does. Okay, you read my work and note I wrote “The men put on there uniforms…” and you change there to their. Fine. But to change the item, change the title? No way. |
