Do you mean we have this option in the LiteracyBase blog posts, or our own blogs?

As for my personal blogs, I did not want to turn on the comment moderation option at the beginning, as I would just like to publish any comments that are given to my blog posts. But, there was once there were quite a number of spam comments, hence I just had to turn on the option. Besides the reason for stopping the spam comments to be published automatically, I don’t have other reason to turn on the comment moderation option yet.

What do you think about the option?

I always like to write about my life and my thoughts. Now that I am a parent, I always like to write about parenting and kids. I also like to write about what I have learned. It seems like recently I have written some posts about positive thinking as these are what I have been learning. I also found out I like to write user guide, teaching how to do something step by step. As a programmer, I used to write user guide to teach the users how to use the system, and I really enjoy writing that and it also helps me to remember the steps on how to do certain things too.

@peachpurple It’s good to write what you are passionate about – FOOD! I always like to search for recipes as I am not good at cooking or baking, so Internet is really a good place for me to learn how to cook and bake. I haven’t been reading much blog posts, but I am sure I will like your recipes! πŸ™‚

@lovern I think we do not have them in Malaysia as well, but it’s good to know such a day, and I hope we celebrate the Doughnut Day as well, as my children and I like doughnuts! πŸ˜€

I don’t really have talent in crocheting, I just learned how to crochet two years ago, and always like to make some toys for my children, just for fun! It can be an addictive hobby once you learn how to hook! πŸ˜€

I am tempted to purchase this Herb Fairies, which is actually a herbal learning system for kids. It consists of 13 story books and activities as well.

I have actually been watching for this for more than two years. I was thinking perhaps it’s good to get it when my eldest son is older. Now, he is 7 years old, and I think perhaps it is time to get this series for him. Moreover, I just received an email that I can get $20 off, which means it costs $77 if I purchase it now. (I do not know why I always thought the original price was $197, instead of $97.)

If it’s $77 in my local currency, then I might not need to think so much. But it’s $77 USD, and when it’s converted to my local currency, it’s about MYR315. Of course, I will use my online earnings in my PayPal account to pay for it, and that’s what my online earnings are for.

Perhaps I can work harder to earn $77 in these two months, so I can buy this series now. πŸ˜€

Yes, this is something I want to buy, but I do not really need it.

I haven’t been writing many blog posts. Usually I just write one or two in a day, and not everyday too. So, I haven’t really encounter the older posts haven’t been approved yet, as previously the posts are always approved and published within 24 hours. I think by submitting one or two per day is still fine for me.

I just read another thread, it seems like no blog posts have been approved and published lately. I am not sure if there are more members or blog posts submitted now, so the team might need more time to review and approve the posts.

@swalia Yes, I agree with you. I think there are not many trusted writing sites out there. Hope LiteracyBase is one of the trusted sites. πŸ™‚

@bestwriter I did not know we may get lower ratings for too many posts. I wonder if there are any changes since I have not been around for a week, I will need to check them out slowly.

Sorry that it seems like you seem to have not so good experience in mylot. I guess there are just these kinds of people everywhere, we might meet them on any sites or even real life. Hope they don’t come here! πŸ˜›

@ruby3881 I haven’t been submitting blog posts for quite some time, but thought of writing one or two later if time is permitted. I am thinking if the team is working on some changes again, or something else. Hope the team will review the posts and publish them very soon.

@morgoodie I would like to learn how to use Buffer too, and maybe HootSuite. I have read some good reviews about HootSuite as well. I haven’t been sharing posts in social media sites. I agree with you, having earned even a little bit is always good! πŸ™‚

@bestwriter Yes, I think that too. I am so used to be with my children, my house work and my freelance work when I am at home, suddenly I was so free when I was in the hospital, it’s just quite weird to me. I am getting enough rest as whenever I am feeding my baby, I am actually taking a rest. Moreover, as long as I sleep early at night, even though I need to wake up in the middle of the night, I still feel good.

I still like to get back to my usual self, busy but contented! πŸ˜€

It’s so nice to be welcomed by support and the friends here. It’s really like a big family here. I feel so warm and comfortable coming back here. πŸ™‚

@swalia @grecy095 I haven’t download my baby’s pictures yet, will do that some time later. I am still organizing my stuffs, my home and trying to do some work now.

@grecy095 I am glad you can login to the site now, and also Kyla was helping you as well. I remember when the server was doing a maintenance, and all of us were not able to login to the site, I was like so not used to it as I have been logging into the site everyday. Yes, it’s really like another home online for us now!

Yes, there’s always 10th every month! Don’t be sad, but just look forward! πŸ™‚

@scheng1 Yes, you are right. I am not sure if I have already used to sleep lesser hours per day, I feel like I am sleeping too much now, and sometimes I couldn’t easily fall asleep as usual. I already started to plan what to do. I might not spend as much time on online work as previously, because I would want to spend more time on preparing for homeschooling, but for sure, I have allocated some time for online work too. πŸ˜€

I won’t stay online for too long, because now I actually have more energy to spend time with my elder children and also I will need to manage my time well for other tasks too. I will try to do things casually now and not with much pressure. I just don’t think I would enjoy sitting down there and doing nothing at all, I might end up couldn’t fall asleep easily at night. πŸ˜€

@lovern Yes, it seems like we know each other from other sites and here we gather together! πŸ™‚

@ruby3881 @morgoodie I think it depends on the mothers’ size and may also on the races too. My first child was 3.3kg and second was 3.4kg, and these were considered quite big when my friends heard about them.

I have heard many newborns from my friends were around 2.6kg – 3kg. Of course, I have also heard some newborns were around 3.6 – 3.8kg, but those are considered really big and not so common.

I always wonder how or what people in US or other cultures do after they gave birth. For Chinese, we need to stay at home for at least one month, which we call it “confinement period” and there are quite a lot of things we can’t do. I wonder if others need to do this, or just do what they normally do, but of course have moreΒ rest perhaps. I actually do not really follow those rules, but try to rest more especially when I am tired. I also try to spend more time with my two elder children.

@peachpurple My baby boy was 3.09kg when he was born. I expected him to be heavier actually, as during the pregnancy, I seemed to have the biggest tummy among my three. Perhaps he was a week earlier, so he was actually the lightest. πŸ˜€

My baby boy is now sleeping quite well day and night, except when he needs to be fed. That’s why I am actually quite free now. Besides feeding him, I can actually spend time to do other things. πŸ˜€

Those days when I stayed in the hospital were not really boring, but I was not used to be so “free”. When my baby was sleeping, I just tried to sleep, but after I have slept too much, I couldn’t really sleep. It seems like my time has always been occupied, and suddenly I was too free and it was strange to me. I was staying in single room, so did not really chat with others, and I didn’t turn on the TV at all.

My little girl always sings “Rock a bye baby on the tree top” to the baby brother. πŸ˜€

@lovern You are a teacher? It’s good to hear that. What age groups do you teach?

I have always heard that teacher’s workload is actually very heavy, there are so many lessons to prepare, and after that you still need to mark the papers and a lot of things to follow up, right? Hope you will still be able to spend some time here, perhaps just once in a while.

I am not a teacher, but I am homeschooling my children, and my eldest son is now grade 1. I have been very lazy since I was pregnant, as I did not have much energy to do the homeschooling work. I just preferred to sit and sleep most of the time. πŸ˜€ Now, I really have to spend more time preparing for the lessons and also teaching as well. I will see how I can manage all the things on my plate, but my main priorities are always my children and homeschooling too.

I can still use my tablet to read, but not so much of typing. πŸ™‚

I just remembered this forum thread when I was reading this article from Nourishing Minimalism – How to become a productive person, and the answer is not multitasking, but single-tasking.

You can read the article here if you are interested: http://nourishingminimalism.com/2015/02/use-this-tool-to-be-the-most-productive-person-possible.html

@sunil It’s a baby boy, and he was 3.09kg when he was born. He is the lightest among my three children when they were born, perhaps he is also one week earlier (39 weeks only) due to the scheduled c-section. I am actually quite small sized, so my babies were considered quite big when they were born, and that’s also why my first had to go through emergency c-section. πŸ˜€

I am currently working on my software project when I have some free time, so I can spend some time here as well. My baby is sleeping really well these few days, and I am not tired at all. I might not be able to spend as much time as previously, because I need to spend more time with my children and preparing for their homeschooling lessons too. But, I am still organizing my stuffs now. πŸ˜€

@lovern I am so touched with all my friends’ concerns and care here. It’s so nice to be part of the community here and be your friend too.

@ruby3881 Thanks for asking, and I miss you all too. I am doing really well now, just some pains, but that’s good to experience too. πŸ˜€

@bestwriter That’s a good question.

I always thought that section is updated automatically according to some calculation, but I didn’t realize some members are actually not active at all. I wonder what the differences are between active members and popular members. Perhaps popular members get more points from others, and active members have more posts in forums or blogs?

I saw my name is still displayed in active members section, and I do not think I should be there since I have not been logging into the system for almost a week. I have not been active at all for a week!
