@JoDee I have seen some macrame pictures or tutorials online, as I had not come across this handwork before. It looks really interesting and fun to do. Gardening is another handwork I would like to learn too. I have a yard in front of my house, and have a small garden there. I used to grow some vegetables, but since I was not feeling well due to my first trimester of pregnancy, I neglected the plants and they are gone now. I hope I can have some time to grow the vegetables and other plants again. @Kristie Those handwork you do sound really fun! It seems like many people knit and crochet. Knitting and crocheting are not popular in my country, perhaps it’s because I am staying in a tropical country. Yes, I think it’s good to do some handwork while watching TV, so we can at least produce something. 😀 Making duct-tape products sound interesting too. Perhaps we can share our work, so we can inspire each other and have fun together! 🙂

@Grecy You really have a lot of experiences working online. Do you only work online for these 10 years, or also have a full time job at the same time? What does a virtual assistant do? It sounds interesting. Do you mind telling why were you scammed by being a blogger? I thought blogging is just about writing, but didn’t know it involves investment as well. I am sure you have now established a good working online base and make good money from it as well. We all learn from our experiences, good or bad. Also, thank you for always sharing your experience and helping others too! 🙂 |

I agree with @Grecy, it would be good to know what the reasons were if our post gets rejected, so we can improve ourselves and write better quality posts in future, and this will benefit the site as well. @Grecy I think your post has been approved, though I haven’t read it yet, I saw it when I browsed through the blog last night. Moreover, as stated in FAQ section, we will be able to see the status of our post. I haven’t submit any blog post yet, so I have no idea how it’ll be shown to us. @krishnaa Thanks for asking that question. It’s good for us to know too. So, we can actually share any posts, not only our posts, but our referral code will be added to the sharing link, am I right? |

Yes, I always think I am really blessed of that. Besides programming, I thought of becoming a teacher or writer when I was young. Though I am not a professional writer, I am glad I can now write casually in these sites, and also earn a little bit money. I am also homeschooling my children, so I consider myself as a home educator now. It seems like now I am doing all the jobs I have been dreaming for: mother, programmer, teacher and writer. 😀 @icybc I guess we will always find the way which is suitable to us. Glad that something works beautifully for your oldest son. What is he doing now? |

JoDee I am always happy to see someone who is already a grandfather or grandmother. I just think it’s really sweet and lovely to have grandchildren. Of course being a mother is wonderful, but I think being a grandmother is just so great. 😀 It’s really nice that you have a granddaughter who has the name that you would like to name. Did you tell that to your son, or is it just a coincidence? |

@IcyBC That’s a good reason for having even number. 😀 Actually I have been considering of having four children since my second child was born. I just think it’s a blessing to have children, and I am happy to spend time with them and see them playing along with each other. I am 37 years old now, and my third child is going to join us very soon. If I’d like to have the fourth child, then I might be 40 years old already. I am not sure whether my body can take it, as I feel tired and uneasy during the pregnancy. Also, there might be higher risk for pregnancy who is over 40 years old as well. Moreover my baby is having higher risk for down syndrome now, so I can’t think too much and far beyond this. Well, let’s see how it goes. Anyway, I will have to learn to take care of three children first. It might not be easy at the beginning. 😀 I will be having two boys and one girl too. Grecy Sorry to hear that, but it’s good that you are moving forward. I believe God is having a good plan for you. When I read you saying of having twins, in my mind I was thinking, it’s really hard to take care of two babies at the same time. But, of course, I believe parents are just very powerful, they will just learn how to no matter how hard it is. ^_^ I have a boy and a girl now, I think my son’s personality is more like me, and my daughter is more like my husband. I am very happy with that! 😀 suny I am sorry for that. Yes, all children are our precious gifts. I am happy that you are proud of what God gave you. How old is your daughter now? |

You are welcome. You can find the information roughly about how long it will take to approve our blog post, though we might not know the exact time frame. I quoted this from the FAQ for your reference. Hope this will help the others as well.
I have not submitted any posts before, so I have not get a chance to check out the status and the approval process of the blog post. I will try to submit a post and see how it works, or @grecy may be a better person to tell you that as she has an approved post. 🙂 |

@icybc It is so kind of you to give away your books. Sometimes living a simplified and minimalized life, it’d be better to have less stuffs at home, including books. Good that you enjoyed reading the digital copies with your kindle as well. I am also thinking of giving away some books that I no longer read. Though it might be nice to have a small library at home, it would be better to live in a simple home. Moving to smaller house might be a good choice, especially for minimalist.
I do read a lot online, as there are so many good articles and resources online for free, so I don’t need to spend much money on buying books. But, I still enjoy the feeling of reading a physical book and flipping it as well. Moreover, I do not really allow my children to use the computer, so I always buy them books instead of let them read online. Reading a book to the children is so much enjoyable and the reading time together is such a great bonding activity as well. I just can’t imagine our family sitting together reading the ebooks on our own device, that’s just different atmosphere. 😀 |

What do you mean by how much long? Do you mean the length of the blog post, or how long it might take to approve our blog post? I have no idea how and what the process is to approve our blog post, but the minimum requirement for a blog post is 300 words. You can find the requirement and guide for creating a blog post here – New Blog Post. It’s under Earn Rewards page, then double click on the task, you will be able to read more information about the task. Hope this answers your question, or someone else will give you a better answer.

@Kristie It’s greet to meet you too. I am really impressed that you are a professional writer, and have been writing since so many years ago, 10 years! That’s great. Do you usually write for clients or publish your articles online? I have always been hoping to write better, but first of all, English is not my first language, and I haven’t spend time to brush up my English and writing skill too. I am glad there are sites for casual writing, it lets me express myself, learn from others and definitely improves my English and writing as well. I am also a newbie here. It seems like the site has become more active, and we will have more fun here. Hope we’ll enjoy spending our time and build a friendly community here as well. |

@jentleheart Our kids really give us lots of power, more than we can imagine. Glad that you were able to think of that when you were feeling so depressed. I always have that thought when I was depressed about my work. But now when I think about it, it’s just work, and why I’d die because of not meeting the deadline? That’s so silly! I didn’t have kids at that time, and I guess I just couldn’t handle the stress and wanted to escape from it. Glad that I didn’t really take action. Now I always ask myself this question: Is this essential or important in my life? How can I make a change in order to make it better if this is disturbing me? Actually another way for me to relieve my stress is to come online and express myself. Sometimes I might just want to write it out, and I’ll feel better. 🙂 Let’s move forward! |

@peachpurple My home town is in Ipoh, most people there speak Cantonese as well. But, my family speak Mandarin at home, so I can speak better in Mandarin than in Cantonese, though there are still some terms we use in Cantonese. 😀 |
|
@jentleheart Yes, I think it’s challenging for every mother, and it’s even more challenging when we want to take care of the children on our own and still need to work from home. But, I have really been learning a lot for being a mother, not only learning about parenting, but my children really help me to grow in my own personal path. I am really thankful for them, though I am still not the joyful and peaceful mom that I want to be yet. @peachpurple I have two kids now, 7 and 4. I always think it might be easier to take care of 3, rather than 2, especially when the youngest is still a baby. My third baby is coming soon, and now my two children can play on their own well, so I don’t need to worry too much about them. Of course, once in a while, you will hear some “complaints” from someone, mostly from my little girl. But of course, all kids are so unique and different. ^_^ |
|
@peachpurple We actually speak mandarin at home, but when we call our parents, we do not call them in the Mandarin pronunciation but Cantonese. I don’t call them Lou Tou or Ah Ma, but just baba & mama, similar to Mandarin, but different tone. 😀 Yes, I think nowadays many kids call daddy and mommy, and I think that’s why my little girl followed too. Or perhaps she learned it while I read her some picture books in English. @rapidblue I am curious how you call your parents too.

I believe it’s the choice we made. We can choose to always stay in the “suffering” mode, or we can walk out from the depression. When I was younger, I used to be very depressed while I was at work. Though I enjoyed doing my programming work, rushing for the deadline always made me feel very stressful. I was just hanging around there and couldn’t walk out from the “negative emotion mode”. I have been talking to my friends and husband, until there was a time my husband asked me to stop (not rudely). He thinks I have enough of self sympathy, and it’s time for me to walk out from the depression. I didn’t really need any medication or visiting the psychiatrist, though I thought of visiting. He just made me realize, it’s enough and I really needed to make a change and walk out from the dark side. That’s not what I want. Then I stopped talking about it, but being more positive. I wrote a lot when I was feeling down, and it did help me a lot. I just think that, first we need to figure out the issue, and we need to make a change, instead of keep letting us sink into it. Think positive. Count our blessing. Be grateful for everything. ^_^ |
