@grecy095 I think you are really disciplined! I would like to just spend a short span of time here, but I always end up spending too much time. Moreover, I think you are really pretty good by spending such a short time here, but you have been posting a lot!

Yes, I agree with you. No matter how, we are establishing good relationship here, and also learning a lot from each other too. 🙂

@lovern I really admire you all for being able to count your time spent here. I think I really have to cut down my time spending here, as I have been neglecting my project for quite a while. 😀

@swalia Glad to hear that you are happy here as well. Let’s explore the site and learn together!

@rapidblue Hopefully you will feel more comfortable with this site soon.

@heroine Hi Maggie, welcome to the site. Enjoy your exploration and hope you’ll like spending time here.

@morgoodie I can’t total the number of hours I spend here as well. I am always coming in and out and doing multiple things together. Let’s see how much we can make in this month. 🙂

@lovern Do not worry, we are all here to learn from each other. Perhaps you will get some inspirations from here as well. Let’s support each other. What would you like to learn?

@haraka Thank you for sharing. I know Adult Coloring is very popular now, but I have not try it. Your coloring is really pretty and neat. It must be fun and relaxing to color that, but it might be too tedious for me, as I might not have patience to do so. 😀

Yes, I think having the word is a good idea. How long do you usually take to color one page like this?

Now I am thinking perhaps it’d be good to have another forum for coloring, as there should be many members who like to color as well. Would you like to create a topic for that? So, others can share their work and some can get some inspirations too. Though I do not color, I enjoy looking at them. It just looks so beautiful.

I am not a professional blogger. I have several personal blogs hosted on Blogger. I started my personal blog more than 10 years ago, as I would like to write about my life and thoughts, to share with others or just a journal for myself. I also gained some friends from my blog. But, I stopped being active after becoming a mother, as I was busy taking care of my children and also doing the housework. Moreover, I started to explore more online sites to make money.

My main focus was on my personal blog, but I also created other blogs, especially one to share some programming knowledge. I created that because the readers to my personal blog were not interested in programming or any technology news, so I think it’d be better to write them in another blog.

I want to start being active on my own blog, but sometimes I am just too tied up with other stuffs and also these online blogging sites that allow me to make money and also gain more friends.

@gautamdotcom Hi there, welcome to LiteracyBase. It is really nice to have a social media expert here. I am sure we will be learning a lot from you.

So, you have quit your full time job as a marketing consultant, and doing freelance work now? I think you will also be able to find some social media marketing jobs in those freelancer websites, am I right?

There is a “Make Money Online” group here, perhaps you will find some  online opportunities there.

Anyway, hope you will enjoy your stay here.

@morgoodie I have no idea how to set up etsy shop too, it should not be difficult to do so, as it’s meant for selling crafts there. But since you are familiar with eBay, perhaps you can help your sister to sell her crocheted products in eBay as well. What do you usually sell in eBay? I always wonder how to set up an online store, especially about eBay. Perhaps you can start a topic about that. It’s good for making money online as well. 🙂

Yes, I agree that there are so many things we’d like to learn, but we do not have the time to do that now. Perhaps we can just learn them one by one.

@peachpurple I think cross stitching is nice too. I learned that when I was in high school. I remember there were some craft or souvenir shops selling that. It seems to be easy, but it requires good patience. 😀

I agree that it’s really not easy to buy craft materials locally, or they are very expensive. You can try out Daiso or Spotlight. I started to buy some yarns from TaoBao, as it’s less expensive even with the shipping cost.

Turning it into a pencil case is a good idea! I’d prefer that to just hanging it on the wall. I am a practical person. Your child must be really happy when she uses this pencil case, as it’s handmade by mom.

@haraka I think it’s really good to earn $10 per week and you are making that while you are lazy! That’s good. 😀
The only concern I have is about submitting the ID proof, as I have no idea how it is and what I should submit. Perhaps I should find out more about it, and be open to the site. I always like to interact with others, so it seems to be a good site for me. It’s also good to learn more about blogging as well.

It’s good that your friend can earn $1 in one day from mylot. I enjoy spending my time in mylot too, as I feel relaxed while I am there. There’s no need for me to think about topics, SEO, evergreen, social media, etc, I mainly write and talk about my life there, so it’s a comfortable place for me.

I can tell you really like forums. I used to participate in forums even not paying, as it’s fun to interact with others and also enjoy some fun from ranking and reward system. It’s like playing game, not a big deal, but just some fun. 😀

@ruby3881 I actually set my featured image size to 480 x 360. But I just checked on my published post, the image has been resized to 1024 x 512. So, I am thinking if that is the ideal image size for the blog post here.

Of course, it would be good to get the confirmation from support or admin, but before that, perhaps you can also try out this image size.

@ruby3881 I haven’t really understand how StumbleUpon works, as I am still very new there. I just add some posts there, but I don’t have any followers yet, so I am not sure if those posts will get exposed by others. Anyway, I will just try to stumble more and visit others later.

I have seen the Facebook page you mentioned about the writers’ group, but at the moment, I am only using my Facebook account for personal purpose, so I am not joining any other groups besides parenting and homeschooling. I even unfollowed many friends, as I would like to just focus on homeschooling or parenting information there and not spend too much time on Facebook. Sometimes, there are just too many information in Facebook, and I didn’t manage to read the homeschooling information I wanted. That’s why I set the limit for myself there. Anyway, thank you for inviting.
By the way, why do you think of making the group as public later, instead of a closed group?

I do not have a Guru. I know it’s good to have one who can really guide and inspire us. I am quite new in this spiritual journey. I usually just read from books or online articles to get more information on this area.

I was not brought up in a religious family, and now I am a Buddhist as I am interested in Buddha teachings but I am also open to other religious teachings. I became a Buddhist last year after I attended a short meditation class in a Buddhist organization. The teachings there really resonate with me. To be frank, there are other Buddhist organizations, but not all interest me. So, now I always like to follow and read from the masters of that particular Buddhist organization that I joined.

Besides Buddha teachings, I am interested in learning more about Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy too. He was actually the man who inspired me to start to explore this spiritual journey.

@ruby3881 That’s a good question! I would like to know about this too. Though I do not create my own videos, there are many good videos around and perhaps these might benefit other members as well, but I am not sure if it’s good for the site. Will it cause the site load slower?

By the way, when we are sharing the YouTube videos, do we need to give any attributions like how we do for images?

@haraka Thanks for recommending Tumblr. I haven’t really start looking into it yet, but now I gain more confidence of trying it out from you. 🙂

@morgoodie Another reason I signed up with tumblr is that it’s a microblogging platform that we can just share things easily or write a short-form blog. I always like to write in blogs, but sometimes it requires too much time to write a long post. Perhaps tumblr is a good place for me just to write a short status, like how I do in LB.

I am not sure if I will get referrals from these social media sites, I am not good at getting referrals. 😀
Good luck in your sharing, and thanks for sharing my post too.
If you have Microsoft Word, you can also write your post there and the word count will just displayed automatically at the bottom left corner. Google Doc has the similar function too.

I think the team will update the site slowly, and hope we will enjoy more functionalities later.

@peachpurple Thank you for sharing such a good list. So, all these social media sites accept posts with referral links, am I right? I will try to explore them. I almost forgot about delicious, and I don’t know about Bing and Search Console. It’s good to know about Bing. 😀

How long have you been working with your public Facebook & Twitter accounts, as you said you didn’t get much external traffic from them? I have heard these two sites seem to be quite good in bringing visitors.

May 10, 2016 at 11:23 am

@ruby3881 I think StumbleUpon doesn’t accept shortened link too, though I found that they have their own link shortener. I tried to add page with goo.gl link a few times, it did not give me errors, but the page just didn’t show up, until I added a page with normal link.

Thank you for telling me about editing the link in Pinterest. I have always been editing pins in Pinterest, just to change the pin board or update the description, but I never noticed we can change the URL there. I always just use the very manual way, add new pin from the pinterest site, then manually add the link. It’s so nice to be in the community, so we can always learn from each other.

I have not try out sharing in Facebook yet, I do not have a group of friends who write or make money online on Facebook. Hence I never think of sharing any posts from BlogJob or LiteracyBase  there.

@4cryingoutloud It is okay, I didn’t realize there are a few pages until later too. There are still a lot more for us to explore on this site. 😀

I just went and checked out the site you mentioned, it sounds interesting. I always like when the program mentioned it’s for International users, so everyone is welcomed to join.

It would be nice to earn a few cents per day, but it requires the toolbar to be turned on for more than 8 hours. It would be good for those who stays in front of computer for all day long. 🙂

I guess the site no longer exists now.

May 10, 2016 at 4:30 am

@haraka Thanks for the compliment. I actually haven’t really spend time to explore the blog posts yet, I am still very much in the forums now. I just found dawnwriter asked about that on the profile status, so I was just interested to find it out.

I am glad to know this is at least helpful to you. 🙂

May 10, 2016 at 4:12 am

@haraka You must have a good number of followers in StumbleUpon. I think it will takes me some time to set up the network in StumbleUpon in order to help me generate some traffics to my shared posts.

I do not know how LiteracyBase looks like when it’s in mobile phone’s screen. If you are able to use mobile phone to interact in the forum discussion, I guess this site really supports mobile friendliness which is good for many mobile phone users.
