@grecy095 That’s good. Moreover, with your kindness and generosity, I am sure it will bring you positive outcome too. God will always love you and guide you. Keep praying! Hope you are doing good at your new job, and receive the good pay soon too.

@sebaonciu It’s good to hear that. Many PTC sites come and go, it’s good to see there are still sites that have been around for so long. I do not really mind the slow earning, as long as it’s legit and can sustain for long run. It’d be better to earn fast, but at the end, we do not get anything. πŸ˜›

It’s good that you still keep testing the new PTCs. πŸ™‚

Aren’t you clicking on neobux? I didn’t see that from your list. Though it’s earning slow to me, as I only click on the ads, at least it pays. πŸ™‚

@icybc I have always been wanting a big book shelves that are up to the ceiling when I was younger, but now as I prefer less stuffs and simple life, I do not dream for this anymore. Yes, I think smaller space and lesser stuffs make things more manageable, and easier to clean as well. Moreover, I think simpler life is better for us and the children as well, having what we need is good enough.

@peachpurple I do not know why, my son doesn’t like Little Red Riding Hood at all. He doesn’t mind I keep telling him a story over and over again, and he usually likes all kinds of stories, but there was once I told him Little Red Riding Hood, he just didn’t like it and if I wanted to tell him again, he just said no to that story. My little girl doesn’t mind listening to that story. I guess different stories really speak differently to kids. πŸ™‚

I think I am a good mom, though I know I am not good enough, I am still learning to be a more mindful, joyful and gentle mom. I never spank or hit my children, but I have to confess that I do get angry with them and scold them sometimes, especially when I am overwhelmed or too sick. So, this is something I really need to learn.

I quit my job before my elder son turned 2, I have planned for it after he was born. I am really grateful for being a stay at home mom, and my son appreciates that as well. My two children really love spending time with me, I do not think they want to be my friends, but they surely want me to be their mom.

There are some areas I am very strict especially when they are still young: no TV, very minimal computer time, no junk food or candies, no fighting or hurting. I explained the reasons for not allowing them to do so.

Besides the strict rules, I am actually quite lenient. I always told them kids’ main job is to PLAY! So I let them play a lot, and play with them a lot too. They actually learn a lot while playing, and I always like this statement “Let the kids be kids“.

I can’t think of any punishment I gave to my children, I do not like punishment. Perhaps my anger is already the biggest punishment, though I do not want it. I believe we can talk nicely to the children and they will understand and learn better.

@peachpurple @morgoodie
I laughed when I read you relate confinement to quarantine. πŸ˜€ It does look like that, doesn’t it?
For me, I am glad I didn’t need to follow those strict rules.
I guess these are the only rules I followed:

  • I did not go out of my house, unless I needed to go back to hospital and do a checkup for myself and my baby.
  • I did not let the wind blow directly to me, so I used air conditioner instead.

Rules I didn’t follow:

  • I still took shower and even washed my hair daily whenever the doctor said it’s okay for my wound.
  • I still walked up and down the stairs, as usual, as doctor recommended to walk more but slow.
  • I still drank normal water as usual, and I drank a lot, as it’s good for breast milk production.
  • I avoided ginger and wine because I was breastfeeding. I basically avoided all the food that might affect my breast milk production, if I know.
  • I was carrying my baby all the time as long as she wanted me to, and I even bathed her.

My mom took care of me during my confinement period, but for my second child, I took care of my baby and my elder son on my own most of the time, and my mom mostly just helped me to cook.

I still heard many moms nowadays following the rules, though they complained about it. I am glad my mom did not force me to follow those rules, I don’t think I am fine with those rules too. :p

I did not have high blood pressure or diabetes, actually I have been healthy throughout all my pregnancies. But, my first baby was too big for me, as I have smaller body frame, so I couldn’t push him out even I tried hard, and hence I had to go for emergency c-section.

Thanks everyone for giving me the big hope. I am reaching $8 soon, but I don’t think I will be cashing out in a day or two. I am still targeting to reach 50 cents per day, but hopefully with the revised rate of blog posts, I can earn faster.

Yes, I think the payment will serve as a good birthday present, not only because of the money, but because it might give others the confidence to stay with or join LiteracyBase.

I will definitely update you all if I have reached the minimum payout and got the payment. πŸ™‚

@morgoodie Thanks a lot for the compliment. I am trying not to be too talkative and busybody, and help others whenever possible. πŸ˜›
I have submitted 4 blog posts over the weekend, and got one published only. The support has mentioned they will take time to review the blog posts, so just wait patiently. πŸ™‚

@jentleheart Yes, I agree with you. At the beginning, I found it quite hard to progress and earn too. But slowly when we are familiar with the site and know how it works well, then it becomes much easier. Moreover, I am feeling comfortable with the site and the friends here, so I just keep interacting and let the earning grows itself.

@swalia Thanks. I am not pressuring myself, as I need more rest now, but I really enjoy interacting with others here. I am happy if I can make another $2 in about 4 day time. With the revised rate for blog posts, perhaps I can really make it faster. πŸ˜›

@jentleheart You really made me laugh when I read “real-life pacmans”! πŸ˜€
I guess they are just too active and always need food to regain the energy.

Your boys are all so big now. It’s really wonderful for a mother to see the children growing up and becoming an adult, isn’t it?

Mine are just 7 and 4, and a baby coming very soon. So, mine are mostly in early years childhood time. I guess we are facing different challenges and learning different techniques to guide the children at different stages. πŸ™‚
I always think it’s challenging for mothers to guide teenagers or tweens, and you have 3 at this stage. You must be a superb mom!

May 18, 2016 at 11:04 am

@jentleheart I guess all of us have that moments, though we didn’t want to get angry with our lovely children, sometimes we just did. That’s why I keep learning and practicing gentle or peaceful parenting. I still get angry with them sometimes especially when I am busy with my freelance work or overwhelmed, but I have to say I have made good improvement, even my elder son told me that. I always apologize, hug and talk to them after I have calmed down, and I am glad both of my children understood me. πŸ™‚

@dawnwriter I guess as parents, we are always strict at certain areas but we are quite lenient at certain areas as well. I think children, especially young children still need our guidance, hence they will grow up to be a responsible and caring individual. I am sure your children behave very well because of you. πŸ™‚

I think kids always like silly mom to play with them. I am sure you have good relationship with your kids, and they surely love spending time with you. πŸ™‚

May 18, 2016 at 10:40 am

@jentleheart It’s good to have four! πŸ™‚ How old are your children?

Yes, I didn’t know all children can be so different until I became a mother and have two children, even though we guided them the same way. I am a supporter to screen-free especially for young children. Of course, we will have to expose the computer and Internet to them when they are older, but as you said, there will really need to be guidance and certain controls from parents, especially when the children have not reach the stage that they can control themselves yet.

Hope you will find some interesting topics and get some inspirations from the conference too. πŸ™‚

May 18, 2016 at 9:58 am

@lolaze My expected due date is June 2, but since my first two were born via c-sections, so this third one has to be a scheduled c-section as well. I have scheduled the date on May 26, which is less than 10 days from now. πŸ™‚

I already have my three wisdom teeth removed. The first removal was really painful, it took me 2 hours to do that. But the second and third were fast, not painful and I recovered fast too, as I changed to another dentist. I guess if you are comfortable with the dentist, the wisdom tooth removal is actually not that scary. Hope you will feel better during the surgery.

@lookat Yes, I believe with our continuous contribution, the site will generate more revenue from the ads and in return, they are able to pay us better. Hope this new change will attract more good writers to the site.

I always have my word count tool to count the posts I write. I am quite calculative when I come to LiteracyBase now. πŸ˜€

I am hoping to have a more productive Wednesday too, as I was slightly lazy and also busy with home organization yesterday.

May 18, 2016 at 5:44 am

Just to update, the maintenance activity is ended and some blog posts have been published. You can find more information from the Maintenance Activity thread that support mentioned earlier.

Check out the good news too! πŸ™‚

@s-stephens I did that once as well, just to test out the draft function. So, the post is lying thereΒ with the status ‘Offline’. I plan to wait until I can edit, then I will see if I can delete it. πŸ˜€

@bestwriter Glad that support and admin are helpful here, so they will help us to correct it. πŸ™‚

@rapidblue There was once I asked support to help me add in my referral link to LiteracyBase in my first post, as I did not know we can actually add our LiteracyBase referral link to our posts, but not others. Support was helpful and helped to edit and publish mine very soon.

May 18, 2016 at 5:28 am

I am also interested to know this, though there is no daily limit here, so we do not need to know the server reset time, but it’s still good to know.

Perhaps @support can let us know more about this information. Thanks!
