@lolaze Thanks. I have not reach $10 yet, but am reaching there soon, so I need to ask for guidance first to make sure I do it right. π

@peachpurple I also do not think the teachers here spend their own money to buy the supplies, as their pay per month is not high, I think. @ruby3881 I just remembered that, a friend told me, whenever her daughter needs to do any craft work, the students or parents need to buy the supplies on their own. So those supplies are being paid by the parents instead of teachers here. Whenever the students are doing any project work, the students are the ones who bear the paper, printing or binding costs. When I was in high school, each of the students contributed a certain amount of money to the class fund monthly, and whenever we needed to buy some extra supplies or classroom decoration, we used the fund. We did not get any funds from the school for all these, so the students/parents are actually the ones who are paying for the supplies. So, when the students can’t bring home the textbook, they will not be able to review and revise what they have learned when they are at home. It’s quite hard for them to study in such way. I am not sure if this happens to my country as well, I just know the text books are on loan too, so the students do not need to buy. I even heard some complained the books are too old, there are some very new ones too, but I have not heard anyone not getting a book. |

@4cryingoutloud Yes, I guess those who chose to homeschool do not worry about socializing so much. There are many ways to do so. Moreover, I think if the child doesn’t like to socialize with others, it’s his personality, and we shouldn’t force him too. There are kids who went to school but didn’t socialize with others at all. Actually I am not so focus on academic studies, this is one of the reasons I do not send my children to school. I would like them to learn more life skills and be a responsible world citizen, rather than just passing the exams. Public schools in my country seem to be more and more focus on academic studies and results only, but not on the life skills, values, team work, etc which I am more concerned about. @lolaze I guess you know better about the students in school, as I have never been a teacher before. π Moreover, I guess it depends on country or state. I have read about the positive comments of the educational system in Finland. If I am staying in Finland, I don’t think I will homeschool my children. π |

@morgoodie I am not sure about Ayuwage, as my warning is still not gone yet. But, it’s okay, I will try again later, and if I encounter error, I will just stop clicking on it again. Yes, I am really grateful for my husband, as he is cooking, doing some housework and taking care of the children now, so I can enjoy having my long nap always. π @grecy095 Yes, it’d be good if you love what you are doing, then you will be happy. Hope you will be able to cope with your job very soon. It’s not easy to start a new job, but I am sure you will be learning a lot and add those good values into your career experience. Good luck to you! π It isn’t easy to earn 20 cents here, especially when I am busy organizing my home. So, I understand it is actually quite hard for you too, as you are so tired after traveling. How nice if one can bring the dog to work. π |

@peachpurple I studied in Chinese private school, so either one of the subjects does not meet the passing score, which is 50% for us, we can’t move to the next level. I am sorry you have such experience. I guess sometimes it’s really hard when you are not studying what you love. I thought teachers should always care for those who are leaving behind, but the reality might not be the same. I studied in Chinese primary school, then Chinese private high school. I am not too sure about others, but I think most teachers are quite dedicated. Though some might not be good at teaching, they cared about the students. @grecy095 Yes, I agree that sometimes if we met a very good teacher, he will definitely influence us a lot, and help us to find our path in our life. I am glad you have such a good Chemistry teacher. I have some teachers who paid more attention to those who are doing great, but I like those teachers who even helped those who are not doing good, and make them better. We even formed a study group, and helped each other.

@slayer08 Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree with you, we need to stand up and protect ourselves. Since you were not disturbing others, I do not understand why there was people trying to bully you. I just asked my husband lately, and he told me he has experienced the similar thing as you too. He was quiet in school as well, and did not disturb others. But, there was a bully wanted to punch him. He told me, he just stood up and got ready to defend himself. But, when the bully saw him “being armored”, he backed off too. |

@jentleheart Yes, I totally agree with you. I am glad both my husband and I are on board, and we are on the same page too. We usually talk about how we want to raise our children, and discuss on certain topics that we might be facing, so we are aligned and the children will not be confused too. Yes, I am experiencing different stages of the child development, but I am sure it will be easier for me when I have gained some experience for my first child. I always told my eldest son, I am learning together with him, as he’s my first child. He is happy with that too. π |

I was thinking if I should start a topic about homeschooling, and wonder if there will be any responses. Glad that you have started this topic. π We are homeschooling family, and my son just started his grade 1 journey. I understand the main concern about homeschooling is that the homeschooled children might lack of socializing with others, but I do not worry about this at all. Nowadays, when children go to school (in my country), they might not have time to social with other children, some are actually competing with each other about the results. Moreover, there is no time for them to socialize, they have to sit still and listen to the teacher, and can’t talk to each other. They have to attend after school classes or tuition. They do not seem to have time to play anymore. Moreover, homeschooled children do not mean to just stay at home but not going out at all. There are actually many organizations that hold outside school activities and classes. The children can also enroll these classes, and they will still have peers to interact with. Moreover, these activities or classes might not be so stressful or result oriented, so the children will get to learn more together and have team work too, as they do not need to compete with each other. I do not worry about my children’s socialization, though they haven’t enroll to any activities or classes, they already have friends in the neighborhood as we always go to the park in the neighborhood. π |

I used to talk to my dog when she was still around, before I have my children. She was such a good listener. Things I usually do now:
Thank you for sharing Β those websites. π |

This is really sickening! I wonder why the school district did not report him at all. It’s a serious crime, and he should be put in jail. It’s sad to hear such news, especially when we used to think how important a teacher is to a child, as a teacher might influence a child in his life. It’s so sad that there are such teachers who are taking advantage of the students. I feel sorry for those girls. |

@nakitakona13 Thank you for sharing about your country. I did not know much about Filipinos, but I have met many of them on these writing sites, especially mylot. I really like that all of you have a strong relationship with the family and are very friendly too. Moreover, I think you all really love your country very much. I am really happy to have met so many Filipinos online. π @lolaze You can move your mouse over to the member’s name, like yours, Lola, the profile URL will be shown as http://172.104.9.193/members/lolaze/ (it’s located on the bottom of the web browser), so copy the username “lolaze”, and add @ as the prefix. I usually just right click on the member’s name, then click on “Copy Link Address” (in Chrome), and paste it on the comment box. I just removed all other parts except for the username, and add a prefix. By using this way, I won’t mistype the username. π Hope this helps. |

@4cryingoutloud I really do not like doing something I don’t like, but if I really have to do it, I guess I would think as you too. Just do it, then it’s over, and I will just leave it behind. I think there are many times when my mom asked me to do something which I do not like, but I would still do it, because it’s for my mom. So I guess I would do something for someone, even though I do not like it. Perhaps that’s my inspiration too. π |

That is exactly one more week to go. If everything goes by plan, one week later at this time, I will be getting ready to go to the hospital, as I need to reach there by 5am. Everyone in my family is getting more excited, including me. I have been visualizing how it will be when my baby arrives. I have been having the pain from my lower abdomen now, it seems like it’s more painful than my first two pregnancies, but I really enjoyed experiencing the pain, as I can feel the baby inside me and he tells me he is eager to join us very soon. This might be my last pregnancy, as this is already considered as high risk pregnancy, I would really love to enjoy every special moment now, even the pain. @bestwriter No wonder my two children like to use computer, perhaps I have always been using computers during my pregnancies and even after giving birth. But, my job requires me to use computer, so I can’t avoid it. π |

@grecy095 @4cryingoutloud I am sorry to hear that you have to travel to such a long distance to work. Besides paying for the traveling cost, it’s really tiring. Hope the pay is really good, and hope JoDee can get more jobs in your own village, so you will be able to earn more and not so tired too. I will keep praying for both of you. Hope you will get good job and good pay too. Do not give up hoping! π |

@grecy095 I am not sure if you will get your payment on Tuesday, as it was Sunday that you requested the payment. I usually received my payment within two days, but the last time it was on the third day. I am just thinking if it’s not too difficult, it would be good to take the advantage of Double Point Tuesday, then it will be easier for you to earn more points. @sebaonciu It’s good that you are still thinking positively and keep trying! I always think there are still many good people around and the world is still very beautiful, so there will still be good sites for us, and we should not give up our hopes. :p
