I can’t tell you how many times I have heard people say their life would not be the same if they had never learned how to read. In Jewish and Christian scriptures, many verses incorporate the words βIt is writtenβ. I had never thought about until one day it dawned on me that I took my own reading and writing skills for granted. I began to view those 3 words in the scriptures differently. Hmmm? Even our Divine Creator saw a world where, if not all people, there would be enough people who could read and write, and spread the revelation of His Word. Amazing thought isn’t it?
Now don’t get off on an argument about my religion. Just think about it for a minute. A Divine Being taking literacy as a Given. Knowing that in this world, books would be readily available because people can write them (βIt is written.β) and others would have the ability to read them! That’s visionary thinking. It’s something for all humans to celebrate! π

Thank you for sharing that! It helps me to look at the three words differently too. Though I am not a Christian, I am always happy to learn what Bible has taught us.
Though it seems like almost everyone around me has the ability of reading, not many people like to read especially not study books. I think it is really a blessing for those who love to read and still read, especially good books. I am also grateful for having so many written good books around, so we can read them and learn or get inspired from them.

I guess it’s because we are all book lovers here, and we would just like to spread this around. π

I love reading and i would say that it was my favorite pastime but mostly i read book or stories over the internet which im accessible to do. For me, reading a book is very beneficial for everyone not only you will learn something on it but it also a proven source of knowledge

Books are the blessing of God on earth because the first book was written by God and call Revelation given to the prophets for the betterment of human beings.
Books are more poisonous than a Scorpio, some books are to read again and again because they are full of wisdom as The Proverbs, book in the Bible.
How to celebrate Book Lovers Day
In order to truly appreciate Book Lovers Day, one must only find a story and read it. Maybe you wish to dive into the unknown with a good mystery, or see magic in a high fantasy setting, or be enthralled in a steamy romance. The individual genre of your reading is not the big piece of this, just that you do read is. Maybe a visit to your local library is in order? After all public libraries existed even way back in the Middle Ages, but they didnβt really let many folks take books home. The librarians in those days chained books to shelves or desks in order to prevent theft of the carefully hand written tomes.
Many librarians will gladly help you find a title to read, giving a brief explanation on what it is about if they have read it, or giving it a little flip and reading about it quickly in the synopsis. But no matter your preference,
if you read it at home with a cup of tea, share a book meeting with friends or go to the library and make use of the wonderful pieces on those shelves, just enjoy your reading, revel in the book and find a way to read during Book Lovers Day!

Yes, you are right. I would prefer to run or jog in the park, rather than in the gym, as there is more fresh air outside. π
But I think some would prefer proper training in gym, as there are professional trainers who guide them to do the workout and perhaps they know how much they have improved. Moreover, some might think it is too boring to jog alone in the park. I have friends who prefer to pay and go to gym. π

In reply to: Treathyl FOX posted an update βIn all the years Iβve written, Iβve found that your best work is often a result of those times when youβre afraid to push publish.β – Srinivas Rao (medium.com) View

That’s Mr. Rao’s experience. I thought it was interesting and that’s why I shared the quote. As for me, I don’t usually have a problem hitting the publish button. I’ve already agonized over my written word long before the decision is every made to share via a blog post or publish an article. Everybody’s experience is different. But whatever…[Read more]
