    @cely

Good to hear that you could redeem this time and will receive your dues of hard work. As you said writing two long blogs a day will get one somewhere between USD15 and USD20. We have to add comments with that and it will help increase the amount. Even I have redeemed on the 26th  of this month and I hope to get the amount correctly on or…[Read more]

I feel there is too much of politics going on in USA even after the elections are over and what is happening is unfortunate. I have been observing this from the past one month. I do not know if is right to use picture images which have been used by others on their articles and whether Literacybase allows this use of images by other writers?

    1) I have found writers who are writing blogs using this.

    2) I do not know why they do not upload their image which is as per the…[Read more]

There are many important aspects which have been  highlighted in Hinduism but the same have been forgotten by many. Here is an opportunity to […]

    • Thanks for sharing the colorful “gems”of Hinduism. I am naive on this religion; just a little knowledge about it from our lessons in Asian civilization. I admire the way people in your country or those in other countries in observing Hinduism. It looks like they have a deep sense of religiosity when you see them praying in temples, or in their places of worship.

      • Appreciate you liking the article and the information it tried to convey. To be fair even I am as naive as you. This rush for getting a job, earning a livelihood coupled with other issues have not allowed me to express myself on this religious aspect of Hinduism. Now as I am writing articles I am also trying to dig in the details which even I would like to know and share with readers who are interested in knowing more about this religion and the society and how things are as of date.

Just to share a information with you. If one has to learn Vedas in a Vedic school which will be in sanskrit language it will take around eight to 12 years approximately depending on the individuals IQ for each Veda to be studied. So multiply it by four it takes one life time to learn and imbibe what is learnt. What I know is not even a small drop of water in the ocean. People here in our country and even in other countries where they are settled and working are very religious minded. Thanks for the feedback.

If I am to choose a tree we can call amazing, it will be the coconut tree which is indigenous here in the Philippines as well as other Asian Countries and those in the Pacific.

    That’s because coconuts thrive i […]

    • I love coconut food delicacies like the ones you posted here. It is indeed a tree of life with so many uses from its roots to leaves.

      • Me too. I love all the foods from the coconut as well as the young coconut.

Especially buko salad, wow, it’s delicious. Though it could be costly to make one.

The lumpiang sariwa is also a favorite. Though, I don’t make it but just always buy from an eatery that really makes a very delicious one, even without the dip.

Do you like bukayo too. Here, you can buy a pack for just 20 pesos. I would buy one every now and then and keep it in the drawer of my office table. I eat it for dessert after my brunch.

    • I never knew that part “ubod” could be eaten ..i thought you posted a photo of a bamboo shoots but when I googled it it was really ubod..

buko indeed is very useful and deserves to be called “the tree of life” .. we have lots of coconut trees around and just last night I made a buko ice cream.

      • @kat2x ,

I suppose you are a Filipino too. So, you don’t know what ubod is.

Actually, it can be eaten raw. It’s sweet and delicious as it is. But when made into a veggie viand with coconut milk, some slices of pork, chopped finger chili and some pepper, a little salt , garlic and onion , it is so delicious!

Also you should have a taste of the fresh lumpia which is sauteed ubod, with some chopped baguio beans, julienned carrots, chopped roasted peanuts wrapped in a wrapper made of egg. It’s so delicious too. Especially with a dip of a bit sweet with chopped roasted peanuts, it’s heavenly.

Buko ice cream? I have tasted an ice cream with buko bits and it indeed delicious too.

SO i bet your buko ice cream is delicious. 🙂

    • I think a coconut tree was probably in the Garden of Eden. Eden was a paradise. A coconut is a fruit of paradise. Seems a logical thought. 🙂 I do love coconut!

      • Hmm, really you think of that as in the Garden of Eden. I don’t though, because the setting there i think is not of a tropical country. 🙂

So, have you seen a coconut tree? Where did you see it? Have you already tasted a buko(young coconut) salad?

What are the other foods from the coconut that you have eaten?

It’s juice is so delicious too. I suppose you have already drank one. 🙂

Lying is an art perfected by all of our with varying degrees from the time we were children till date. There will be no such available on […]

    • Children should be taught not to lie. It is the parent’s role to be good models; show them that it is always good to be honest. White lies are sometimes acceptable and it is good to protect the child or the family; but there are lies which should really be stopped. As they say, a liar is comparable to a thief!

    • Agree with you as a thumb rule children in the first place should not be taught to lie and they should be told to be honest. I have seen many children tell white lies which I accept as they are being done in a mature way not to cause trouble to someone they like or respect and as it does not do any damage. Children start lying as they are in the age group of three to five once they start meeting and mingling with other children who are their peers.

Lying is not a good thing as it build up negative emotions in the person who is indulging in it. One more thing is one lie leads to another and the list goes on and one until the day the bitter truth is out the the individual or the child has been lying all the time. In the case of adults they lose confidence of the society and in the workplace. In the case of children it becomes to give trust him after the dose he has given the parents once. In both the cases they are not trustworthy after the event. Even if we would want to give one more chance we will always have a nagging doubt. Thanks for the input.

Many of us have to commute from our residences to offices daily. This is a […]

    • Road rage happens anywhere, with the busy, congested roads where motorists all wanted to reach their destinations in an instant. What you mentioned embodied all the things that a driver needs to keep in mind while he is on the road; for his safety, for other’s safety, and for his family.

      • Of late this problem has increased manifold in India. Some of the problems which were not there but have now started to happen more in India are parents giving keys of vehicles in the hands of children who are less than sixteen years old. Many people purchasing motorcycles which run very fast especially youngsters. People buying cars and vehicles more as they do not have a proper public transport system as the systems are not able to catch up with the increase in the population on time.

One family buying too many two and four wheeler’s as loans are easily available compared to what they where earlier. People not having the patience to wait and drive slow and follow rules even though the pace of traffic speed permitted is only 40 kilometers in the cities. Many accidents taking place on the highways. On a trip when I traveled around more than 500 kilometers I saw six to seven serious accidents where majority of the people have passed away. These people do not realize that driving on city roads and driving on a highway are completely different. Thanks for the feedback.
