I never have to end a friendship yet, but many just fall out because of our circumstances and situations. When you are a parent, free time is the biggest stump in staying connect.

I am closer to both of my parents, but since my dad passed away, I am now taking care of my mom. Thus, you can say that I am closer to my mom.

I also knit, crochet, sew and embroidery, but I now that I have tendonitis, I can only do one thing at a time, and that is usually just either knitting or crocheting nowadays!

I also make ginger tea and squeeze a bit of lemon and a tea spoon of honey for my cold and cough! That is if I only have a common cold. If you have a cough for more than 2-3 weeks, it is time to see a doctor!

I have a college degree, but it has nothing to do with my many jobs throughout my life. When I was younger, my dream was in lala-land, and I thought I can make a living as an artist or a novelist. I am not that lucky, so I think on demand job is better for some, which worked out beautifully for my oldest son!

I am in that boat now with my mother and I have brought this question up to a priest at confession. He said to do the best you can and lift your burden up to God.

My mom is a difficult woman, complaining 24/7, and nothing can make her happy. I live on a limited income with a teenager boy, but no matter how much I give, it is never enough to please her. She wants more all the time. I went through a nervous break down in February and had to leave her for more than a month. Now, she is back to her demands. But I also learned to take care of my health first, without it, I can’t give or help anyone!

I have to disagree with this statement: “But we don’t realize that being alone is just making things worse for us. ” On the contrary, I find being alone is helpful for me to figure things out and decision on the course of solutions.

Sure, it is nice to talk to your friends or your family, but each one of them will advise you to do something totally impossible in your situation, and ended up more confusing than before.

When all else failed, it is best to pray and find a solution to move on!

For me, it was probably 24-26 hours but it was long time ago when I was much younger. Now, I do have to shut down for catnaps during the day. I have problem with my vision so my eyes just close when they are tired! I can’t fight it either, because if I don’t rest, I can’t see anything!

I had to call the police on this 8 years old girl who was sent by her family to harass me when I was out working in the garden. She would come onto my driveway and saying things like “hey, you old ugly woman, why don’t go eat something. etc” the entire morning. I warned the girl to go home, but they sent her back right away, so I had to call the police to straight them out.

I had peace after that 🙂

I want to have four children because I don’t like odd numbers, haha! I ended up with two boys and one girl. I had my youngest son when I was already 40 and it wasn’t fun being scared out of my mind by all the physicians. If it was up to me, I would have another if I could, just so I would have four 🙂

I call my mom “MA” on most days, and sometimes MOM. As for my father, I use to say DAD, Daddy!

My children called me MOM and sometimes MUMSY!

@Lee Ka We have children story books, two to three shells full to the ceiling! I donated them to the local library, and some to the Salvation Army! Our house now is small enough for me to manage and keep cleaned. There is no extra rooms or storage space to keep anything.

I want to live a simpler life, less stuffs, and only the necessaries!

I don’t know how to deal with this type of neighbors. Although I have some really bad neighbors before, including gossips! I pray a lot, “Forgive those trespass against us” was my favorite part of Our Father. We don’t have to love them, but we are not bringing harm to them either, and I think this is what Jesus taught us.

I only had to call the police once and let the law handled them!

Bad times happen and what we do with them is up to us! We can let it beats u and bring us down. We can be wounded an unhappy. However, if we don’t do anything about it, then we can’t improve and move on.

When I hit bad times, I usually let it eating me for a while, I soaked in and feel all I can feel, but I always think of a solution, work on a solution and pray constantly.

I used to find that having a book in my hands was great, but after I have digital copies of what I wanted to read on my Kindle for free; there were no turning back for me. My house is now smaller and had to give all the books away when we moved in December. It also kept me on my budget to search for free books, rather than spending the money that I don’t have extra.
