Happy to know that your cat, kamuning had safely returned home.
May brother is also a cat lover. He has two cats and he named them Kala and Yaan. He named them these because he found them as stray cats during Independence Day.
-
Yes, I was so happy she came back! Your brother’s cats have very nice names. I thought he is such a nationalistic person so he named them from “kalayaan” (freedom). I named it Kamuning, sometimes “Kapusa” from my favorite TV station “Kapuso” GMA-7.

happy she came back, some do not, they got lost for ever and really the owners maybe suffer to much, so its really a magic or bless that she came back and safe, congrats and have a good day

Hahahahaha, there are many scammers that enter here all we have to do is never to entertain them. There was one here a scammer, we all laughed at her message full of kisses to our lips hahahaha. There are so any of them like here this time. The only site they cannot enter to dos scamming is Facebook. It is so huge worldwide site and whoever is sending malicious message is blocked hehehe. Just do not ignore that kind of message my friend. It is also the same in Mylot many entries of scammers but each one is helping the culprit removed. Be thankful you are bright to monitor right away. When she message you in YM click spam so she could, not anymore bother you. That person is a male, not female.
-
Yes, I told him he’s a scammer and I won’t entertain him. It was just because he came from Literacybase, and I thought scammers would be blocked here. Good thing I searched for the data he gave and I found that scam alert site.
-
-
Wow! I think I can send you my email spam folder and you will have enough to blog about to get rich here! Have you heard from the Nigerian Royal Family yet?
-
No. At least they won’t try. I just answered because she/he was from Literacybase and I thought she/he is a good member here. I don’t have any idea h/she was a scammer. I didn’t give my real name and other data.
-
-
It’s just I was too trusting that time, then I remember all those scams on the net; so I checked the data he gave me, and I found that scam site alert.
-
I received a lot of emails from 10 years that I am working online. The bait is they will be sending money and they need your help. If you are easy to believe, you will give your account number. I even remember a friend who followed instruction from this phishing emails and she send $100 dollars to that person in order to process 14 million dollars. After giving the money, she have not heard from that person only to find out it is scam.
It pays to search first before believing. How can a person send you that big amount of money when you are both strangers. Thanks for sharing this one.
-
Yes, it’s good I immediately searched on the data he/she sent; then I immediately know it’s a scam! How can somebody just trust you and give you a share of her wealth? Too good to be true!
I was so sad she was on Literacybase. She messaged me here so I thought she’s also a writer/blogger. I didn’t give any info. about me.

there so many scam out there and some are even bring the old school
snail mail scan back-
So they are trying every means to scam people?even using the snail mail? that’s funny!
-
-
Lucky that you were so astute with this type of situations.
There are a lot of easy-to-get scheme at the internet.
There is a situation here in the Phils where their FB account has been hacked and they will message friends and will request you to go on a videocall. Many has been duped.
I, myself, have been nearly duped.
-
That’s one of the negative aspects of social media sites like FB. People who post a lot of photos there could be a target of scammers; they can rob their identity and use it in scamming people.
-
-
In my opinion, that person registered here as a member that’s why she was able to send you a message. Oh my, I hope support can eliminate scammers like her here.
I don’t entertain those who asks for my email. Because in our office e-mail , somebody emailed me something like yours and she also said that the rich widow to which she is a caregiver, is looking for a beneficiary of her wealth. Since she was childless and doesn’t like her greedy relatives she’s looking for a beneficiary. It’s complete with picture of the supposedly caregiver and the dying widow.
I didn’t reply but she again emailed me and now the widow is dead and so she the caregiver was tasked to ask for my account number , full name etc. so the inheritance can be sent. Blah!
I deleted that email and marked it as spam.
-
That’s a clear scam! How can some stranger give you money? I searched for her name here, and she was no longer here. The name was also fictitious, it was a case of stolen identity of Natalya Delieva, a Russian whom the suspect claimed it was she. It was found out that the photo of Delieva was taken from a social media site and used by the suspect to scam people.
-
-
Yeah its better and advisable to avoid such emails and messages as they can attack our privacy.
-
hi there and good morning literacy base members, there are scammers here and scammers in there and in real life also you see scammers, why i dont know, they are there and we are living with them all the time some we learned they are scammers and soem are hidden and wednt know their real intentions to be scammers, only solutions to deal with such people is to stay eyes open and not to rust any body, which makes little tenssion in life but that is life now and we have agree
-
Yes, it is true that there are many scammers online and in the real world, so everyone must always be alert; think first before making decisions.
-
I agree these people are every where that they become normal in our life, and we all should be alert from all the people the one that smile more
-
-
Yeah even I had received an email which looked as same as Literacy Base format. It was stating that my surname matches with one of his clients who is no more in this world and has left behind a property of 4 Million, and that he was searching for any of his relatives to claim it. He stated that he saw my Surname on Literacy Base and decided to contact me and was asking about my personal details so that he could consider me as one of his Late Clients and I would be eligible for the 4 Million. Now that was straight away meaningless interaction that he was making because there would be hundreds of who have the same surname and just because I am one with the same I would get the money.
-
It is too good to be true, Nitin. They think they can fool a lot of people. How in the world would he share a part of $4 million just because you have the same surname? ha ha haha!
-
-
I get these messages All the Time. I never answer. Never email. Unless I’m in a bad mood. Then I use what we call in Jamaica, ‘our foreign language’ (words not suitable for print)
-
That’s a nice way of bluffing or stopping them! I am curious about that “term” in Jamaica? I guess we could not print it here, google will be angry! ha ha ha!
-
It is our use of obscenities. They probably wouldn’t sound so obscene in English esp. if they were written in Patwa. However, when I respond to a spammer I try to be as ‘clear’ as possible and call them by the worst possible names.
-
-
-
Yes, better stop them. I directly told him/her to stop scamming me or else his IP address will be traced by the Interpol.
-
The red flag was up at, “Don’t tell anyone”.
-
That’s good, there’s already a red flag for itt. But you know when somebody here at Literacybase tells”Don’t tell anyone,or this is a secret,”it becomes intriguing and it will create more curiosity on why he said it, so it is the tendency for a member to find out. Like me,I thought he would say something about Literacybase.
-
-
Scammers are everywhere so we all must beware their are some who send me a message to my inbox but i never entertained them. For me, they are virtual stranger trying to get insidey world. I have build a protective barrier against them not even allowing any single to come in. 😉
-
Scammers could be found anywhere as far as online earning job is concerned. You don’t know that there were so many scammers here before you have joined in March 1, I think. We have already reported them to the admin and they had their own fate for their cheating.
Everyone is aware on what to do. We find it always a way to check them out. They no place here. The admin welcomes our vigilant attitude to get rid of those opportunists or the so-called scammers.

Online games are upgrades of some old games.. and it has developed to am even better version
Thanks Kat2x for your reply. Yes, new games are just improved, but they are based on old games like brick games, etc. I like it best, now called tetris! I was also playing Plants and Zombies, Candy Crush, etc. when I have some spare time.
thaks for the info, i have to say also any thing you do using your brain will delay alzihimars, and as acelawriters said that the new generation s games are not really the one that help the brain and protect it
Thank you mangoh for your reply.Yes, I do hope brain exercises like playing computer games could help delay the onset or even prevent Alzheimer’s disease. But for the new generation or for the young, it can also help them though it can lead to addiction on games and they will always be sitting all day playing instead of doing other things or studying their school lessons.
thanks for replying, regarding these games, it does not apply to any game, i m sure it is applied to good intelligence games, not the one that new or young generation are playing now, becuse playing silly games will no way improve your brain or protect it from any aging, so you need to find useful game to win the against alzehimers, for example playing candy crush is not helping, playing shooting games do not help either, you need to play games has benefit such as strategy ills, and organization, that is how you train your brain and boost it so you do not have Alzheimer later in the futures, it si nice post and nice info that do help in searching the good game to play and use your free time to gain some info also, i like to write and read and rading is the best boost brain needs for sure
Playig games not helathy
I guess its waste of time, yea its good sometimes to relax playing games but to make your brain healthier, it is not what i would beleive, and I guess maybe they talk about math games
that is true, as we are getting old, we don’t have work to do and then our mind starts thinking so much. To stop mind, make yourself busy with games, puzzles thats the good option.
I agree with you Trupti. When we are old, we have to “pamper” ourselves with such relaxing activities like playing computer games instead of getting stressed with so many problems around us. It helps a lot. Thanks for your reply.
An very informative article. Though I personally do not play games. I have seen many of my relatives and family members who are more than fifty play games online. They seem to enjoy the experience. I have also seen people those having no education play online games and enjoy the same. I keeps the mind and the reflexes active and delays health related issues which are common with ageing. The number of games and the companies too has increased and it has grown into a very big industry. Having a great future and market.
But too much of anything is bad and it would be better if it is balanced with outdoor activities like walking, just sitting on the porch and observing the sky, clouds, trees and the birds and other life existing. It gives an interesting insight into the life of different creatures who we rarely used to observe carefully when we were working or busy during the working years. It is a very good activity. Even seeing the rains fall or watering the plants also works as a therapy for the mind. If one likes pets they would be your best friends and so do books as they give unconditional love and affection. Writing and expressing you point of view is also a good therapy. Thanks for the share
Very well-said, Krishan Kumar, and thank you for that reply. Yes, old people have to do combination of activities to ease boredom and to keep them busy. Socialization or just talking with friends or relatives is one; walking, and as you mentioned, admiring the beauty of nature around us. This is the stage where people can usually appreciate the beauty of everything, because they were so busy with life in their early ages. Now is the time for “repayment” of the blessings we have, appreciating it, and sharing it with other people.
Playing computer games relaxes their mind, keep the brain active, and takes the person away from nuisances around him.
Mhmm.
Time consuming.
Having fun.
It could be time-consuming for people who are still productive, or for working people, but for retirees who could not think of anything to on a daily basis, it is better to play gadgets, read a book, do some light physical activities that will keep their body and mind busy.
Yes, keeping the mind and body busy at old age, when many retire and passing time meaningfully becomes tough is much needed. So some dose of computer games is not bad.
Yes playing computer games can delay and reduce the risk of getting alzheimer but I think this only applied to games that makes us use more of our brain rather than fingers.
