delhi weather now is sometimes cold sometimes hot, you dont know tomorrow what will be, it may be so hot or so cold that you better stay home. The weather is sometimes hot and sometimes cold and rainy, have to say […]

    • True the weather here too has changed two days back we had a hail storm and we had ice falling at all places accompanied with heavy rain. Yesterday the day temperature increased by many degrees. Today it is increased further. Now it seems summer has really started here. The groundwater level has also gone down considerably in the last week in the whole city due to increase in temperature.

The government is gearing up for water shortage problem in the city. Last year it was very difficult here. Do not know how it will be in month of April and May before monsoon sets in. I only hope there will not be drinking water shortage in the country as witnessed last year. Last year even water for other purposes was not available in many states and they had water trains. Keeping my fingers crossed on this issue.

mangoh wrote a new post, Holi colors plans are you alone or 7 years, 8 months ago

Tomorrow is the color party, tomorrow is day many waited so long, some to color the friends and some to color their lives, some to only take off from work and set at home doing nothing but staying alone, away from […]

    • It is a important festival which has religious significance and reflects what India and its people are. It reflects vibrancy and color of life. It is a festival which is looked forward to by children especially. They seem to want to play and enjoy it even though they have exams. At many places holi milan is also conducted by many families where friends and others gather and have some colorful fun.

As for me I used to play holi in the childhood. But once I had to bath and five times with good quality soap but the color would not go away. From that time I decided why to put colors on ourselves first and then struggle to clean it and find that it does not go away and also gets absorbed with other dress which we wear daily after the festival. Hence I stopped playing holi. But I like to color on the book or see paintings drawn by children on the theme of holi. That is a clean way to enjoy the festival and also have fun too.

mangoh wrote a new post, Vitamin D deficiency issues and level 7 years, 8 months ago

why the ppl everywhere has this problem, i mean everywhere, in Middle east, Asia or Europe all the people almost have vit. D issue, though they say there is problem with the warming and so on, yet ppl have vit. […]

    • A good article highlighting an important an important health issue plaguing the whole world. In India too there are many cases of vitamin D deficiency. As mentioned in the above article the age limit generally above 30 years. But even children seem to be having this problem nowadays. Deficiency of vitamin D leads to less amount of blood, brittle bones, stiff joints and lethargy along with other complications depending on the individual.

Lack of good quality nutritious food, awareness of this issue, ignorance among the common man and not much of awareness campaigns on the ground on a regular basis also lead to the building up of this problem since childhood. Early morning and evening sunlight is good for one to get vitamin D naturally. One should sit in the sun for about 15 to 20 minutes in the times mentioned to get the regular dosage of vitamin D to ones body. Using artificial lights and working in closed doors or places where artificial lighting systems exist also aggravate the problem.

    • It is a free vitamin in sunny countries like here in the Philippines, but in other temperate countries, there could be lack of it during winter season.

Thanks for posting about Vitamin D. I took it yesterday along with calcium and magnesium; all in one caplet as food supplement. I don’t know, I still have to consult my doctor if it is safe to take it.
